Vaseline hand and nail lotion - sensitive enough for my eczema

Advantages: Good value, not slimy or sticky, soft hands
Disadvantages: Quite runny, packaging not perfect, not an intensive moisturiser

...I have very sensitive hands which have suffered from eczema all my life, they are constantly dry and itchy, so I have to be extremely careful about what products I use on my skin. I normally moisturise my hands every time I wash my hands, before bed, in the morning and other time throughout the day, so moisturiser is very important to me. While away from home, I ran out of my normal creams and so I had to borrow some Vaseline hand and nail lotion. I was very surprised to find that this lotion did not irritate my skin any more than my usual moisturisers. Advantages: Softens hands, smells nice, small handbag sized tube, cheap

...I have the most awful hands in existence. My nails are ridged and prone to splitting, and my fingers are freakishly long with too many lines. I long for smooth, young-looking hands with lovely nails and normal-sized fingers! I decided I couldn't live with my godawful hands forever, and decided to sort them out, once and for all. I made a quick trip to Boots and Superdrug, and came back home, armed with this hand cream, nail buffers, emery boards and nail varnishes. My mum uses a Vaseline moisturiser and I was slightly doubtful at first - Vaseline is a slightly mumsy brand, but I'd frittered away the rest of my money on L'oreal and Maybelline nail varnishes when I could have made do with Miss Sporty and Collection 2000, and this was the only hand cream I could find for under £1.50. Great lotion - Vaseline Intensive Care

Advantages: Runs in well, keeps skin soft
Disadvantages: None

...I have been using this lotion for years and have tried a few others, but I always keep coming back to this one. It's really great at keeping skin nice and soft, rubs in well and smells OK too. It's not the cheapest around but it's from far being the most expensive. I have quite sensitive skin, sometimes suffering from exzema and it has never irritated my skin, as some other lotions have. You can get the smaller bottles or the bigger ones, you can get the more intensive version or one with aloe vera. I've tried them all and they are all good. It's a nice thick lotion, but not greasy and it's doesn't take forever to rub in. The only downside is that whilst it smells fine, it doesn't have a great smell. It's available on most places, Boots, supermarkets etc. Defintely recommended, especially for sensitive skin....

Disadvantages: Certainly watch children with lotions like this, so they dont swallow it. Its harmfull,allso greasy if you use too much.

In order to keep them looking and feeling good, we have to find the right lotions. In my opinion this product is the best that Ive found to use for hand and nail care. Ive use this product for about 10 years and Ive noticed that it has helped with all the problems Ive had with my hands. When its been so bitter cold my hands dry and crack and are sore. Having always had a problem with chipped, splitting nails and having tried several hand creams and strengthening nail polishes which had no affect, I was a bit dubious, but I thought it was worth a look. ~ Container ~ The cream is contained within a pale pink tube, which stands up on its lid. ...As a nurse I continually have my hands in water and also have to wear latex gloves, as a result my hands became very dry and sore. I tried all sorts of creams and lotions to no avail. I had heard of Vaseline products but had thought them to be old fashioned and not of much value until I received a free sample from a sales rep. The first thing that struck me was the fragrance, hard to describe but i think it is a bit of a fruit mixture. It is non-greasy therefore things don't slip out of your hands ( a good advantage when administering injections) and it is absorbed really quickly. Within a couple of days I found that my hands had completely healed up and where much softer and smoother. I looked round the shops and eventually found the cheapest place to buy 200mls of Vaseline Intensive Care was at Boots for £1.99 and you get...
