Vauxhall New 2000 model corsa 1.0 12v club
Review of Vauxhall Corsa Club 1.0i by  bazza1603

Advantages: 3 years warranty/breakdown cover 1 year free insurance
Disadvantages: Price a little steep starting at £7495 for expression model

...Ive been the owner of the Vauxhalls new model Corsa now for a month. At first I was put off the vehicle with it having only a 1 litre three cylinder engine, but I have to say even with a full load of 4 adults it still pulls very willingly. The engine does however make a funny washing machine sound when pushed hard. Its a very pleasant car to drive, I upgraded from a old corsa and can see the huge difference in the new car.I feel Vauxhall have improve the gear change and ride quality no end. While the speed sensitive power steering is out of this world. Ive got a three door model(five door due out early 2001), access to the rear for adults is tricky. But once they are seated there is plently of space.I like the height adjusting drivers seat with means bother me (6 foot 5) and my girlfriend (5 foor 5) have no problems finding the car... Cosmic Corsa. 1.0 verses 1.2 model
Review of Vauxhall Corsa SXi 1.2i by  bazza1603

Advantages: Good range of feature. Cheap running costs.
Disadvantages: Very common cars.

...This is the Second of the Corsa C Models we have owned. Our first car was a 2000 model 1.0 Club which served us well during the 2 years we owned it. The car was cheap to run, nice to drive, but was let down by the basic equipment Vauxhall gave us as Standard. Why Another Corsa. ****************** In January and Feburary I had 2 different new shape Fiesta as hire cars and I did rate the drive and comfort of the cars very highly. They were similar to drive as the excellant all round Focus model. You did feel a lot of bumps in the road but in general it was a very good car. The first Fiesta was a 1300 Finesse which was as slow as they come. You didnot change into second gear until 50 mph....well it felt that way!. The car was way to slow. The next Fiesta was a 1400 LX and was quicker if you revved it hard. The reason that a 1400... Read review

Of Corsa It's Good
Review of Vauxhall Corsa Design 1.0i 12v 5dr by  C_W_Monkey

Advantages: Brilliant extras and comfy drive
Disadvantages: A little low on the power

...Vauxhall Corsas are extremely popular cars. Their sales are only beaten by the Ford Focus. The car we have is an 8 month old Vauxhall Corsa Design. It has a 35 plate but was sold originally in February 2004. It was used by BSM driving school and has 10,000 miles on the clock. We bought it from Skurrays in Swindon. Corsas are currently a good buy. Because driving schools thought them good cars to use to teach their students. However, after the dual controls were fitted they quickly realised the clutch begins to stick occasionally. So most driving schools were quick to sell their Corsas on. This problem doesn’t occur once the dual controls are removed. So there’s lots of 2nd hand Corsas that aren’t that old. You can use the fact that they’ll have worn brakes, high mileage and the “why would they sell it if it’s only 8 months old... Read review

2003 Vauxhall Corsa Life 1.0 3 door
Review of Vauxhall Corsa Life by  alimcc21

Advantages: low tax and insurance, small, comfy, good petrol consumption, electric windows, cd player with controls on wheel
Disadvantages: not a very smooth drive once you've had it for a year or so, no cigarette lighter or sun roof, everyone's got one!

...This is my second car and first new car. I had an old Vauxhall Corsa before that and the improvements are amazing. The car comes with a standard power steering, cd and radio (controllable from the wheel, electric windows, central locking, charger socket, variable windscreen settings and a large boot. It's cheap to tax and considering I'm under 25, with only 2 years no claims, £19 a month insurance is extremely reasonable. I've had no problems in terms of breakdowns and have never had to take it back to the garage. I also got 6 months tax and a years free fully comp insurance, although I swapped back to Direct Line afterwards as Vauxhall insurance is not cheap. It was £200 for spearmint silver metallic paint, but it really is worth it and it looks much better than other non-metallic cars on the road. On the negative side I find... Read review

Corsa Review
Review of Vauxhall Corsa Club 1.0i by  jf2404

Advantages: Reliable name, garage/customer service
Disadvantages: bit expensive.

...I have just sold my Corsa Club 1.0L.I managed to clock up 33,000+ before i sold it,the car is a ver nice little runner. When i first bought the car i paid extra for a CD player and remote control central locking.I was used to an old banger before, but as soon as i started the Corsa, the engine was smooth, hardly any noise. I bought the car for £7,995 and sold it privatly for £3,000,i would recommend the car it is a nice little runner, ok for a first time buyer or someone who doesn't want something to flash. The car is good on fuel also,i put £20 every week which takes me well over 300 miles each time,i'm also suprised how fast it is, mine was a 1.0L, knowing that when i pulled upto traffic lights with say a 1.6L car, i managed to beat it away most times, i don't know if that is me the driver or the car, but it kept me from... Corsa Active 1.0
Review of Vauxhall Corsa Active by  andrewdenty

Advantages: Nimble handling, good value, fresh looks.
Disadvantages: Engine feels underpowered.

...and unusually for superminis is comfortable for long journeys. There is also ample room for tall drivers; however the chunky ‘A’ pillars seem to obstruct more of your view than necessary. The boot space is nothing revolutionary; however there is enough room for a weekly supermarket shop. Engine & performance: My Corsa has a 1.0 ecotec engine, which is great for urban driving. and adequate on the motorway. However the tiny power plant struggles on some long motorway climbs, personally I’d recommend spending a little extra and going for the 1.2 twinport. At low speeds the engine feels refined and is quite quiet, however at high revs the engine sounds course. However where the 1.0 engine excels is with frugality, easily returning up to 51 mpg. To add to this there are long service intervals and group 2 insurance. Another point to remember is as it... Read review

Buy one? Corsa would!
Review of Vauxhall Corsa Comfort 1.0i by  Quakerman

Advantages: Cheap to by, cheap to run, reduced road tax, good payload for its size
Disadvantages: Poor acceleration

...I never thought I would buy a Vauxhall. (Well technically I still haven't as this is my wife's car, and she chose it!) My only experience with the make was the Victor that my father bought in the late 60s. From day one it had a leak at the top of the windscreen on the passenger side. Childhood memories include my mother with wads of tissues trying to keep the water from pouring in when it rained. It was also the most unreliable car my father ever owned. But we have a good, family run Vauxhall dealership in town, where we have had cars of other makes serviced. On one such occasion, my wife was lent a Corsa, and she decided she liked it. So when we were ready to change cars two years ago, we went and had a look. We were looking for a new 51 reg car. On the forecourt was light metallic blue Corsa 1.0 Comfort. This has slightly higher... Read review

UPDATED New Corsa Oct 2000 model
Review of Vauxhall Corsa Club 1.0i by  bazza1603

Advantages: Much improved over old model
Disadvantages: Price is a little high

...UPDATED 13 Dec 2001******.Well this is going to be a very short update as nothing much has happened with this car. Its now just clocked 11000 and has behaved well in the 14 months of ownership. Its fist service after a year cost £105 full inclusive from the Vauxhall dealer whcih is needed to continue the 3 years warranty. At the same time new updated door seals were fitted as ours kept leaking!. Best regards Barry ************************************************************************ Ive now owned my Corsa 12v since November 2000 and in this time Ive clocked up over 1600 miles without any problem. I will say Ive found this car a great improvement over our old shape 1500 diesel car.First of all the looks have improved, the front now looks like a Ford focus from the front and the rear looks like a Punto with the lights... You need a Vauxhall, of Corsa you do.
Review of Vauxhall Corsa Club 1.2i by  pumfster

Advantages: Good reliable car
Disadvantages: None really

...Well when my family purchased a new Vauxhall Corsa Club 1.2l 16v car, I was very happy indeed. We have always had Vauxhall's apart from a few disasterous flirts with other brands :) Further to this, I learned to drive 4 years ago with BSM who use 1.0l Corsa's so I was pretty much used to them. However, even I as a loyal Vauxhall fan as surprised at just how good a car the 1.2l Corsa is. The look of the car is pretty OK. Nothing out of the ordinary, just what you expect from a Vauxhall. Infact there is very little difference between any makes of car in this day and age, and alot of the cars this size look similar. We bought a silver coloured car and this looked very nice when it was brand new and all shiny. The car I first drove at home was a 1.4l Corsa, and so I was worried when we changed it for the 1.2l that it would not pull... Read review

Vauxhall Corsa 1L
Review of Vauxhall Corsa 1L by  NJFortune

Advantages: great wee run around car, very reliable, cheap to run
Disadvantages: rather irritating noise when indicators are on, car sounds like a diesel engine

...was going well. I found this very good customer service as some companies cannot wait to get you out the door with their products. I would definately recommend the Corsa. I had mentioned about the irritating noise the indicators make and the diesel sounding engine but after a while you get used to it, either that or you drown it out with some music :-). The Indicators in the car make a tick tock noise everytime the dash board flashes and this can get quite irritating after a while. Also when you are accelerating the car also sounds like a diesel engine but once you are going at top speed you dont actually notice the noise anymore. The car isnt bad at accelerating for a 1.0 engine. Finally, the car is has a central locking remote on the keyfob which allows you to dead lock/immobolise the car. A good security feature on the car... Read review
