Corsa is the You Too car
Review of Vauxhall Corsa GLS 1.2i by
endicojr
Advantages: Good old reliable Corsa
Disadvantages: Does not come with an alarm as standard
...They call the Corsa the 'You Too' car, because everyone seems to have one! It's a very big small car, and the standard model comes with power-assisted steering and sun roof. We exchanged our 1.4 12 valve for this 1.2 16 valve, and have had no regrets. There have been one or two little niggly problems - which is what you would expect from a new car - but Vauxhall have been very accommodating in getting them sorted as part of the manufacturer's warranty - but we have been completely satisfied with performance. Fuel consumption has decreased in the 1.2. We chose the dark green paint, which I must admit looks very stylish.
To get a good offer for a new Corsa, I recommend getting on their mailing list. Vauxhall are very keen to let you know of their offers, so be patient and you'll get an absolute gem. I managed to get a Corsa at factory...

vauxhall corsa 1.4 design petrol 3dr auto
Review of Vauxhall Corsa Design 1.4i 16v by
hhuk
Advantages: fun, good looking, nifty, reliable
Disadvantages: not much room in the back with 3people
...I love my corsa! Apart from looking amazing she drives like a little beauty too! my parents own a honda civic & a range rover sport - they love driving my corsa as well so with about 10x my car value to the RRS you cant really complain. My car is a 53 plate and has just got over 22000 miles i bought it from a vauxhall dealer as a former courtasy car i would recommend this as you get a fantastic deal on a car in excellent condition.
Mine is the 1.4 3dr auto version and is very very fast especially with use of the sports mode button - it really does put the fun back into drivin. The handling is excellent and i am totally satisfied with my car. Im currently 19, being driving 2years and my insurance is under £1000 fully comp i think corsas make an excellent first car as they are fun to drive, smart looking, excellent handling, good value...

Good looker and practical
Review of Vauxhall Corsa SRi 1.4i 16v 5dr by
winprizes2000
Advantages: practical and nippy
Disadvantages: dated styling
...Small cars seem to have matured so much in recent years and the Corsa's looks may have remained pretty much untouched but the driving experience has been enhanced - and the Sport Corsa is a good example of this. The smart alloys and sports seats provide a feeling of fun and the cars performance proves more than adequate for town or motorway driving. The interior is well put together though somewhat sombre with black seats and dark grey trim and dashboard not lightening the mood. The standard fit power steering is handy for parking but detracts from the motorway experience.
The efforts Vauxhall have made to keep the Corsa's looks fresh have worked in the main though fussy detailing around the wheel arches dates the profile somewhat.
Overall the Corsa makes a practical package and the sport pack adds to the fun, recent changes to the range...

Review of Vauxhall Corsa Club 1.2i by
pumfster
Advantages: Good reliable car
Disadvantages: None really
...Well when my family purchased a new Vauxhall Corsa Club 1.2l 16v car, I was very happy indeed. We have always had Vauxhall's apart from a few disasterous flirts with other brands :) Further to this, I learned to drive 4 years ago with BSM who use 1.0l Corsa's so I was pretty much used to them. However, even I as a loyal Vauxhall fan as surprised at just how good a car the 1.2l Corsa is.
The look of the car is pretty OK. Nothing out of the ordinary, just what you expect from a Vauxhall. Infact there is very little difference between any makes of car in this day and age, and alot of the cars this size look similar. We bought a silver coloured car and this looked very nice when it was brand new and all shiny.
The car I first drove at home was a 1.4l Corsa, and so I was worried when we changed it for the 1.2l that it would not pull away...

Excellent runaround
Review of Vauxhall Corsa SRi 1.4i 16v 5dr by
haconsulting
Advantages: good value, size and engine for it's class
Disadvantages: poor demisting
...We bought this 4 door model with power steering and the 1.4l engine because we had previously had a two door, 1.2l with no power steering. The difference was fantastic and really makes this a good littel family runaround (for a family of four). It's not so good on a long journey (unless you're in the car on your own) or if you have five people. I'ts also got a good boot space and especially with the back seats folded down. The only major drawback (which I've found in all Corsa's) is the demisting of the windows is very poor (ie you have to have the heater on even on a warm day, to get the windows to clear if it's damp outside). Despite that, this really is a good value car....

Vauxhall Corsa
Review of Everything that starts with C ... by
mikejones_2003
Advantages: Handles well, Nippy.
Disadvantages: Slight steering problem.
...I love my R Reg Vauxhall Corsa because I think when Vauxhall gave the Corsa an overhaul a couple of years back they improved it in nearly every area. It still looks like a Corsa - but it looks modern now, and looks like it will stand the test of time in the looks department. The three-door is sporty looking (especially in SXi and SRi trim) and the five doors make the car look bigger in my opinion! It handles well, you can fling it around country lanes and it lets you know exactly what is going on. Driving on bumpy roads (which we have a lot of in the UK) is like driving with your hands on a bouncy washing machine! Talking of steering, in hot weather, the steering goes really heavy when you have been on full lock for about 10 seconds, but if you leave it, it will go back to normal in about thirty seconds. The dealer was helpful...

Vauxhall Corsa SXi 1.4i
Review of Vauxhall Corsa SXi 1.2i by
clickysteve
Advantages: Good engine, looks, interior.
Disadvantages: Barmy low-ratio gears, irritating design faults, tiny boot.
...I drove one of these for over a week while my car was being repaired. I have to agree with the other more negative reviews, for 14 years on from my first car (a Mk 1 Corsa) I don't think anything has improved!
It looks cool, the interior is fine, it was pretty refined, and most of the car was what you should expect from a brand new model. However...
It is no longer small, about the size of an older Astra!
The forward visibility was poor - I am 6 feet tall and couldn't guess where the front was! The thick pillars make pulling out from junctions a bit tricky.
In the SXi model the suspension is far too hard making the car feel as if it was jumping round bumpy corners, rather than being fast (as was intended?) No feel from the steering wheel either.
The gearing ratios are daft - far too low. The engine pulled really well from low revs...

Speedy gonzarlis fastest mouse in mecico
Review of Vauxhall Corsa Sport 1.4L 16V by
andrew28
Advantages: Small, looks stylish Very good handling
Disadvantages: 3dr cars pain in the a** with more than 2 people
...If you are looking for a car with looks, style, and extras the corsa 1.4 16v sport is for you, The one i had was metallic blue colour coded bumpers/ mirrors, Air con, Electric windows and mirrors, mirrors also heated, rear spoiler, PAS and alloy wheels as standard, and also a spacious boot. This car handles and responds well with little force back and is very fast for this size of car, the seats are Comfortable and the gears easy to use, the back seats do lack space if you are bigger than about 4 foot, but on the plus side this car look great i cant say enough for the exterior style, but the interior of the car i had the seats looked like a reject out of noar battys wardrobe, on the down side the corsa B only looks good with the 3dr version but only having 3doors is a pain when there is more than 2 of you, but id like to add if you have...

Best Service Ever
Review of Vauxhall by
aljones
Advantages: Friendly service, prompt and reliable
Disadvantages: None
...I've owned my Vauxhall Corsa for 2 and a half years now. I bought it from W.P. Lewis & Son in Pembroke Dock, Wales, and quite simply cannot fault their excellent service. The car was ready to be collected on the day they said, and at the time they said. Although I personally did not need it, they spent a good 20 minutes explaining all the features of the car.
The sales staff are excellent, and are a far cry from the typical Arthur Daily style car dealer, and are in fact very friendly, courteous and approachable, and do not haras you in any way. They are not pushy, and will quite hapily recommend a lower spec. car if they think it suits you better. I was looking at the Corsa Sport 1.4, but they suggested the cheaper Corsa SXi 1.2, as it met my neads more, falling in a lower insurance bracket.
They take care of all the hard work for you...

Polished shoes
Review of Vauxhall by
A1H1
Advantages: Cheaper than a holiday in Florida
Disadvantages: Dull to look @
...The thing I hate about vauxhall dealers is that the people working there spend more time making them selves look good then they do the place of where the cars are being seen. However the car prices are very good and you can get good deals on 2nd hand cars - but do not trade your old car in as they pay rubbish for them
But Vauxhall make some of the best cars around and are about to bring out the Vauxhall Corsa which will be brilliant. This will mean the old shape corsa's price will drop and you could get some good deals on this car methinks....
