Vauxhall Corsa SXi 1.3CDTi 16v 2007
Review of Vauxhall Corsa SXi 1.3CDTi 16v by
linkz0rz
Advantages: Diesel engine so fuel economy is good. Much better styling inside and outside
Disadvantages: It's still a Corsa from Vauxhall, which means it's still by General Motors.
...I popped over to my mate’s the other day for some manly catching up when the subject of cars came into the conversation. He said to me, “Aye, I got myself one of them new Vauxhall Corsas I did. Very nimble little machine and I likes it”
A Vauxhall Corsa – a car made by General Motors - which he likes? This is the man that I used to chat with and bet on who would be first to get the Honda Civic Type-R (a fantastic little car). That meant either his lady friend has warped his fragile little mind, or the Corsa really was a special little beast. I couldn’t help asking to have a look at it and take the opportunity to take the mickey out of him, purely for male bonding of course.
I waited outside as he drove the car out of his garage, and at first I expected the old generic blank stare of the Corsa we’ve all come to know and love. But no...

vauxhall corsa 1.4 design petrol 3dr auto
Review of Vauxhall Corsa Design 1.4i 16v by
hhuk
Advantages: fun, good looking, nifty, reliable
Disadvantages: not much room in the back with 3people
...I love my corsa! Apart from looking amazing she drives like a little beauty too! my parents own a honda civic & a range rover sport - they love driving my corsa as well so with about 10x my car value to the RRS you cant really complain. My car is a 53 plate and has just got over 22000 miles i bought it from a vauxhall dealer as a former courtasy car i would recommend this as you get a fantastic deal on a car in excellent condition.
Mine is the 1.4 3dr auto version and is very very fast especially with use of the sports mode button - it really does put the fun back into drivin. The handling is excellent and i am totally satisfied with my car. Im currently 19, being driving 2years and my insurance is under £1000 fully comp i think corsas make an excellent first car as they are fun to drive, smart looking, excellent handling, good value...

The Corsa Club - A Missed Opportunity by Vauxhall.
Review of Vauxhall Corsa Club 1.2i by
tel1
Advantages: Economy, Cheap Spares / Servicing, Compact
Disadvantages: Lack of Space, Strange Power Steering, Heavy Accelerator, Sloggy Engine
...plastic trim fades quickly. The interior trim and seats squeak - but only in cold weather.
Economy: This is where the Club excels and combined driving gives a fuel consumption of 42 miles per gallon (petrol). Cruising on a motorway can give 55 plus mpg. Do not buy an auto or your wallet will be in for a shock.
Running Costs: Factory spares are cheap so no need to got to Halfords and service costs are low.
Comfort: Much better than similar offerings from, say, Ford. The seats are great and noise levels low, for this type of car. Front legroom is good but there is little space for your left foot when not operating the clutch.
Overall, I feel the Club is a good buy but it is clear Vauxhall have missed a great opportunity by using the 'mods' on the new, bigger Corsa rather than on the littl 'un. The lighter power steering...

Vauxhall Corsa 1L
Review of Vauxhall Corsa 1L by
NJFortune
Advantages: great wee run around car, very reliable, cheap to run
Disadvantages: rather irritating noise when indicators are on, car sounds like a diesel engine
...and perfect for myself as I own a golden retriever dog so there is enough room for the dog to sit in the back. When we bought the car we have been given a 3yr breakdown warranty from Vauxhall that operates through the AA I believe.
Overall the car has just gone through its first service unscathed with absolutely no mechanical problems at all. The Corsa itself varies in price depending on model and petrol/diesel engine. Prices start at around £6995 and continue upwards to around nearly £11,000. Also you may want some extras on your car which will also bump up the price.
Our Corsa was available on special offer for a mear snip at only £6500 and that wasnt including our trade in!. The car was purchased from Arnold Clark who have been very good to deal with, not long after purchasing the car they phoned us up to confirm everything...

Cosmic Corsa. 1.0 verses 1.2 model
Review of Vauxhall Corsa SXi 1.2i by
bazza1603
Advantages: Good range of feature. Cheap running costs.
Disadvantages: Very common cars.
....0 model with Barclaycard insurance we paid £280 and we had to pay an extra £20 for the new car, 4 months into the policy. Insurance is high for us as we are both over 28, with 7 years no claims discounts but we do have a theft and accident claim. (Wont say they both mine!!!)
Petrol costs for the 1200 are cheap because the car averages 45 mpg compared with 50mpg in the one litre model. I think the new Corsa is so good on petrol as it just pulls along at 70mph when your only touching the gas pedal a touch. The 1.0 model would do 60mpg on a run
Servicing costs are very cheap as the car can be serviced after 20,000 miles or every 12 months which ever comes first. Failure to service your car at a Vauxhall dealer will make your warranty invalid. The costs for the 1200 model are about £5 per service more than the 1.0 litre model. We paid between...

53 plate Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 SXI - My first car
Review of Vauxhall Corsa SXi 1.2i by
eadand2003
Advantages: Looks, Performace, Running Costs, Equipment
Disadvantages: Handling in wet, Vauxhall Dealer.
...I currently own a 53 plate Silver Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 SXi, im going to try provide a short and sweet review on the car for any potential buyers.
Engine and Performance:
Whilst a 1.2 engine may put potential buyers off due to a lack of power, it should be noted that this potential 16v engine is one of the best in its class, boasting one of the best 0-60mph times of 11.6 seconds. The engine is superb through the gears, although it is revved a little hard at motorway speeds but not enough to be a problem.
9\10 - Excellent pokey engine for the size.
Equipment:
The SXI comes standard with a CD player with steering wheel controls, electric windows and mirrors, 15" alloy wheels and sports seats. It also has little touches like being lowered with white dials inside and a general more aggressive, sporty look to the car. The CD player...

A Corsa's for life, not just for Christmas....
Review of Vauxhall Corsa Life by
Sarah_Louise
Advantages: Economical, nice looking cars, popular, small enough for a first car, surprisingly "nippy"!
Disadvantages: None that I have found so far.
...1320 miles so far and have probably put about £120 in the tank in total. As usual when you get a car from a garage, there was hardly any petrol in at all (just about enough to get me home (5 minute drive) and to the petrol station (a futher 15 minutes). It cost me about £28 to fill it up completely.
So far, I've not had any problems with my car and can't think of any reason to not recommend Corsa's.
I sincerely hope this review is useful for anyone considering buying a Corsa. Like I said from the outset, I don't know a great deal about cars and as this is my first car I don't really have anything to compare it to.
All in all, 10/10 from me!
For more information please see:

(or call in at your local Vauxhall garage to pick up a brochure).
NB. the ratings above were answered as well as I could so...

Cool and Classy Corsa
Review of Vauxhall Corsa SXi 1.2i by
purplelynne
Advantages: Small but perfectly formed
Disadvantages: None
...If you’d asked me six months ago, what car I have, I would have replied:
“A blue one.”
Now if you ask the same question, you’d get something along the lines of:
“A 3 door Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 Sxi with twin airbags….”
Admittedly, I am not an expert on speed, revs per minute (or whatever they are) or abs (I thought that was some sort of muscle in your stomach), but since taking ownership of my beloved Corsa, I have become a lot more interested in cars in general.
I started looking for a replacement for my annoying Ford Fiesta, after the gearbox seized up on the way to an important meeting. I did some research and asked around at work for any ideas for a small, nippy car. Two of my friends recommended the Corsa, while others recommended the Toyota Yaris and the Ford Ka.
So off I went, spending all my weekends trawling...

Is the Corsa 1.2 sxi the star buy?
Review of Vauxhall Corsa SXi 1.2i by
ryan270286
Advantages: Small, reliable, easy to drive and safe
Disadvantages: Fuel consumption slightly high
...and something that's fun to drive, even if it does drink petrol quicker than a good night out.
I did buy this car for £7995 from Vauxhall, who will do a very good deal. The Corsa I purchased was one year old and I managed to arrange to have 6 months road tax included as well as high quality floor mats and a full tank of petrol. I couldn't think of anything else to ask for at the time, but I'm sure there are a couple more that could be cheekily asked for. Customer Support from Vauxhall is superb, the best I've seen so far. Their aftersales are really good. Hopefully this will be the case throughout the country and not just the dealership I visited. Great value for money, a car that should be seriously considered.
If you have any questions, please ask.
Thanks
Ryan...

Of Corsa It's Good
Review of Vauxhall Corsa Design 1.0i 12v 5dr by
C_W_Monkey
Advantages: Brilliant extras and comfy drive
Disadvantages: A little low on the power
...Vauxhall Corsas are extremely popular cars. Their sales are only beaten by the Ford Focus.
The car we have is an 8 month old Vauxhall Corsa Design. It has a 35 plate but was sold originally in February 2004. It was used by BSM driving school and has 10,000 miles on the clock. We bought it from Skurrays in Swindon.
Corsas are currently a good buy. Because driving schools thought them good cars to use to teach their students. However, after the dual controls were fitted they quickly realised the clutch begins to stick occasionally. So most driving schools were quick to sell their Corsas on. This problem doesn’t occur once the dual controls are removed. So there’s lots of 2nd hand Corsas that aren’t that old.
You can use the fact that they’ll have worn brakes, high mileage and the “why would they sell it if it’s only 8 months old...
