...The thing I hate about vauxhall dealers is that the people working there spend more time making them selves look good then they do the place of where the cars are being seen. However the car prices are very good and you can get good deals on 2nd hand cars - but do not trade your old car in as they pay rubbish for them But Vauxhall make some of the best cars around and are about to bring out the Vauxhall Corsa which will be brilliant. This will mean the old shape corsa's price will drop and you could get some good deals on this car methinks.... Read review

...When I went to these guy's, They where very good,Some people are after your money but these were able to help me find a car that was best for me and my family, People can say that Vauxhall are not very good or that Vauxhall cars are not very good, but I have had a Caviler 1.6L which has Lastd ages,I never had a bit of bother with it, I have now got a Clebra 2.0I which they are helping me keep in in good nick..... I would recomenmd these to anyone who was looking for a good reliable team of people and car!... Read review

...I was after a Vauxhall Tigra, which a couple of years ago were hard to find nearly new in dealers yard, i traveled to a few dealrer nearby, eventualy bought a nearly new Tigra from Vauxhall's rotherham branch. The deal i was offered wasn't the best deal in the world, but i really wanted the car, the thing i objected to was the bully tactic the salesman kept trying to use. They all do that "i'll have to see what the boss says" routine which is all bull, then leave you thinking about it for 5 minutes at a time. I don't blame Vauxhall, but i'd love to have seen another car i wanted at another dealership and told this saleman to shove his car up his ar*e....sideways! :)... Read review

...The Vauxhall carlton has now been replaced by the Omega, but in it's day it was one of the largest and more comfortable 'big cars'. I remember that the styling wasn't that great, but you could fall asleep in one so easily, as the seats were and probably are some of the most comfortable around. At the time this wasn't the biggest Vauxhall, although it was big enough, there was the Vauxhall Senator which wasn't anywhere near as popular, but still another great car; so I suppose the Omega has replaced both of them. Carltons - plenty available second hand and you could pick up a really quick one in good shape for around £2000 which is amazing value. Just search the adverts for sale at places like loot and autotrader.... Read review

Advantages: Three different models, not bad insurance, good engine, runs for ever
Disadvantages: Dealer prices and servicing, could have better specification.

...The first question you have to ask your self is why to I want a Vectra? For me it is the fact that I like Vauxhall's, by before this car I had a Cavalier for over eight years with no problems at all and over 150,000 miles on the clock. So when we changed the car I wanted another Vauxhall. We only wanted the same size engine but all the other little things that you get used to, like electric windows (only the front) and a sunroof. The engine is strong and revs well, the only thing you have to remember is that as a 16v the power and torque bands are high in the range compared to a 8v. So far since we have had the car the only problems we have had is the airbag light come on. This has been fixed but cost a bit. If you are buying one more that a year or two old it is best to get it serviced somewhere other that a Vauxhall dealer... Read review

...Recently I had the misfortune to drive the new Vauxhall Astra 1.6, it has changed very little in the last five years. My other half has a similar Astra on a `P' plate and there was one or two refinements but not what you would expect after 5 years of development, Vauxhall just appear to be sticking with what they know and are unwilling to experiment. The ride is firm and the car handles better than older Astra's, however the handling is nowhere near as good as certain competitors cars. The torque provided by the Vauxhall engine is as good as ever, consequently for a 1600 it is quite quick and accelerates nicely. However the car I drove did not like slowing down and junctions were a nightmare, the selecting of second gear at anything less than 20 miles an hour resulted in the gearbox whining at me. ...You own a Vauxhall but you seem to find the prices quite outrageous, and you'd maybe like to use them but you think price is an issue. A biast opinion maybe, but ive done plenty competetive price checking around other garages to find out what you can get as a vauxhall customer (not only applies to vauxhall owners). There are dealers such as Puegeot, Renault and others that have fantastic offers but please check out what Vauxhall have to offer you. The name "Vauxhall", the good brand automatically means money, money money. you can benefit from the service they offer. Competetive price checking in my area (scotland), has shown that leading names such as quick fit, ats and national tyres are far too expensive on quality, but cheap on the less quality materials. Advantages: Good old reliable Corsa

...They call the Corsa the 'You Too' car, because everyone seems to have one! It's a very big small car, and the standard model comes with power-assisted steering and sun roof. We exchanged our 1.4 12 valve for this 1.2 16 valve, and have had no regrets. There have been one or two little niggly problems - which is what you would expect from a new car - but Vauxhall have been very accommodating in getting them sorted as part of the manufacturer's warranty - but we have been completely satisfied with performance. Fuel consumption has decreased in the 1.2. We chose the dark green paint, which I must admit looks very stylish. To get a good offer for a new Corsa, I recommend getting on their mailing list. Vauxhall are very keen to let you know of their offers, so be patient and you'll get an absolute gem. I managed to get a Corsa at factory... Read review

...The successor to the MIGHTY Cavalier GSI - but this time in an estate version - this car has got so much power - I can literally smell the petrol fumes from it's engine?! All is well with the car - it is SO right - with awesome looks and great standard equipment - this is a car to be proud of owning. OK - so when you think of a highly innovative car manufacturer 0 do you think of Vauxhall - No. It's hardly the first name that springs to mind - Lotus could be one, and Porsche perhaps, maybe even Fiat - but due to cars like the Vectra - the Vauxhall image has been one of much blandness throughout the past few years. However, all is changing as I type - the latest Astra models and Astra Coupe models show style - and the forthcoming Corsa will be a hit. Advantages: low tax and insurance, small, comfy, good petrol consumption, electric windows, cd player with controls on wheel
Disadvantages: not a very smooth drive once you've had it for a year or so, no cigarette lighter or sun roof, everyone's got one!

...This is my second car and first new car. I had an old Vauxhall Corsa before that and the improvements are amazing. The car comes with a standard power steering, cd and radio (controllable from the wheel, electric windows, central locking, charger socket, variable windscreen settings and a large boot. It's cheap to tax and considering I'm under 25, with only 2 years no claims, £19 a month insurance is extremely reasonable. I've had no problems in terms of breakdowns and have never had to take it back to the garage. I also got 6 months tax and a years free fully comp insurance, although I swapped back to Direct Line afterwards as Vauxhall insurance is not cheap. It was £200 for spearmint silver metallic paint, but it really is worth it and it looks much better than other non-metallic cars on the road. On the negative side I find... Read review
