...I am sure that most of you are familiar with the bright orange, get your sunglasses out, Vax carpet cleaning system. I am now on my second one having bought my first when they were the state of the art vacuum cleaner and launched into the shops some twenty years ago. Now, don?t get me wrong, I am not an obsessive cleaner, but we currently own three hoovers. Interestingly, none of them are actually made by Hoover! When we moved here my Vax gave up the ghost after years of sterling service. It was with a sense of sadness that I hurled it into the huge skip at the council tip! I then bought a Dyson upright cleaner. I do generally prefer an upright cleaner- much easier on the old back! The Dyson has been, for the most part great. Anyone who has lived in such a property will tell you that dust and cobwebs are an occupational hazard. Best Vax Ever

...Just so you know, i am no ambassador for VAX but i would never ever change from using VAX vacuums. My house now has been getting rebuilt for about four years now, it is going through major structural work. The rubble and dust from this is awful. Being a bit lazy I thought i would use my VAX to clear this up. Absolutely no problem! It picks up no problem and just keeps picking up. The power from this vacuum is enormous and it does not strain at all. The design is really nice as it is kind of a rounded shape, very unusual. The blue colour is very eye catching and makes it look very retro. The one really good feature of this VAX is the addition of a pet brush which spins soooo fast to pick up any pet hair. ...The following is based on my own experience. I bought a Vax U91-P2 Power2 Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner end of August 2009. It is now in the back of my cupboard collecting dust. No pun intended!!! When I first used the product, it was good - couldn't fault it. However, when I tried to use it the second time, it wouldn't pick up dust. Off I went to Curries to complain about the problem. They carried out a basic floor test, ie tried to clean a small floor area in the store to see what the fault was. After the basic test, they could see that the cleaner was not picking up dust. They said the filter was blocked hence no pick up and that the filter needed cleaning. I said, ?to save me driving all the way home, can I purchase a spare filter in store to replace the one inside the cleaner ? that way you can test it again...

Vax a Heavy Cleaner

Advantages: very long lead, and a big water tank

...Having a 3 year old, plus 2 cats who love to leave us presents in the living room my carpet really needed a good clean. I decided to borrow my brothers Vax cleaner as it is an upright and my old vax was in the shed and I didn`t want to have to dig it out.
