TomTom Wireless GPS Receiver 20 channel GPS receiver module

...I dont have a 20 channel receiver however I do have a 12 channel receiver which came in the box with my Tom Tom Navigator 5 for PDA, whichi I use in my Treo 680 Smart Phone. The whole thing works perfectly and I couldn't ask for more as Sat Nav goes. The GPS receiver looks identical to the 20 channel one shown here and if this one works as well as mine does then you can't go wrong. It has a matt cover which makes it stay put where ever you place it on the dashboard and in use I've found that it picks up a signal very quickly and once linked to the PDA by bluetooth it keeps the signal so long as it can see just a tiny bit of sky. Once linked I take the unit off the dash and place it on the floor of the car in between the seats and it keeps the signal through motorway tunnels and even during a traffice halt under a bridge! Great GPS receiver

Grundig Nav100 sat nav 100 from Germany

It is not your average sat nav system as it's a very high-tech device but very easy to use. nav-cam sat nav cheap as chips and great to use!!!

Advantages: Speed camera alerts bonus features such as mp3 and photos and low price tag.
Disadvantages: None that ive discovered so far.

Review of Evesham NAV-CAM 6200

VDO HSP 6931 speakers

Advantages: phat bass!
Disadvantages: speakers are quite deep, so be sure to check your install depth available

...I have a set of these speakers that I run along with a set of VDO 6" splits. I've tried numerous big name brands of speakers (Sony, Pioneer, Kenwoord, JVC), and these VDOs out-do all of them! The speakers provide it all, very clear treble and mid range sound, bit more importantly they have fantastic base. I found that with a full set of VDO speakers (6x9's in the rear plus the 6" splits in the front) running through a 4 channel amp I did not even need a sub. Just be sure to get the HSP range (as opposed to the SSP's). The HSPs have the titanium finished cone and the full butyl rubber surround (this is an important part of these speakers performance). I actually came across this opportunity to write a review as I was scouring the net trying to find a set for my girlfriend, who now wants to kit out her Hyundai Tiburon with VDO speakers...

The sound, again excellent, very high quality. And what can I say about the active-sync, this is the best idea ever and I think every other sat nav is going to copy this soon. Just download your contacts from your PC to your NAV100 at a click of a button, then you can just use your friends name to set up the route, no need for post codes or nothing, how cool is that? oh another thing, plan your whole journey without even having a GPS signal. Absolutely fantastic....

As a Sat Nav...

...Well! I searched for a Sat Nav hoping to find something under £150 and was shocked to find this at £100. Really cheap price and seemed to come with a lot. I read that the Sat Nav included 'Points of Interest' such as hotels, restaurants and petrol stations and thought this was a great price to include all these features as well as the Microsoft Office package on the PDA. I was a bit bothered when it arrived though that it only came with a car charger, so how was I supposed to use the thing in my house? The only way of recharging the battery which was pretty much dead on arrival, was to sit in my car and wait (and get hounded by the environmental lot) or...to buy an AC power adaptor which cost £30-£40 (ridiculous price) So the first week I went without and just used the Sat Nav once to see if it worked, which it did...

There were a few specifications that I had in mind when looking for a suitable GPS system. I didn't want to spend too much money to begin with. For months previously, I had been observing reviews and prices of sat nav systems online, and what was clear to was the fact that new systems were constantly being released, which meant that prices were being reduced all the time. So I didn't see a point in splashing out on an expensive system, knowing that the price would probably fall before long. I also wanted a widescreen sat nav, simply because they look better and more modern, but also because pretty much all new sat nav systems are manufactured in widescreen, and that the 4:3 screen aspect ratio will become a thing...
