DVD player for girls with a passion for fashion
Advantages: remote, nice design, portable
Disadvantages: battery pack is a bit bulky
...I am sure anyone with a similar aged daughter to mine (9 on Sunday) will have had exactly the same situation as me last Christmas. My daughter came to me with an Argos book in one hand and one hell of a shopping list in the other! When we added it all up, it came to about £700 (and she's good at maths so I think she was pushing things a little there!). We whittled it down a bit (!) and it still left her spoilt rotten. Now, I had really good intentions to stick at that list... but it didn't happen!
Most of you will have seen the many Argos adverts prior to Christmas with the half price offers. I caught the end of one and saw this Bratz portable DVD player in the pile of toys shown on the advert so went online for a look. I had been considering buying it since my friend bought it her daughter for a birthday present and told me...

Brilliant portable DVD player
Advantages: Looks great, plays great, lots of accessories, multiregion
Disadvantages: no free headphones
...I frequently travel on the train for 3 hour journeys each way so I wanted a portable DVD player to stop me being bored rigid. I happily chose the Shinco 1731A portable DVD player for the following reasons
1) The seven inch model was small, easily portable but the colour ActiveMatrix TFT screen didn't seem too small when watching films on the train. THe screen also has a 400:1 contrast ratio giving really clear pictures.
2) I wanted a multiregion portable DVD player so I could use all formats (1-6). This DVD player also plays other formats, including DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD+RW, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3, JPEG and Kodak Picture CD. The Shinco also has multi language/angle/subtitle capability, zoom play and programmable play and comes with a tiny remote control.
3) I wanted a portable DVD player that I could use with my TV set at home or in...

The Perfect Travel Companion
Advantages: Cheap as anything, reliable, compact, good quality
Disadvantages: Can't complain at this price!
...There's nothing quite like being so pleased with a purchase that you can't wait to sit down and write a review to tell people all about how wonderful said purchase is. Ordinarily I'm one of those shoppers who always seems to have problems with their purchases; be they faulty, mis-described or simply a heap of junk. So you can imagine my delight at actually getting MORE than I bargained for from my brand new portable DVD player.
☆★☆WHY I CHOSE THIS PRODUCT☆★☆
Next month I'm taking my son on his first ever holiday to a caravan park in Essex. Whilst this might sound like a normal, everyday thing to do I'm actually very frightened. I've got to drive some 80 miles all on my own with my 20m old sat in the back who will inevitably decide to throw a paddy right when I'm close to tears struggling to...

The Dyson Of Portable DVD Players
Advantages: Cheap and well designed
Disadvantages: You get what you pay for
...Why did I call this the dyson of portable DVD players? Because it has little features on it, like the Dyson hoover, which don't use huge amounts of technology. But they are incredibly useful.
Thankfully though, the price doesn't follow this and is less than most players instead of more (like the dyson in hoovers).
This isn't the best portable DVD player I've seen. I haven't looked at many others in detail, so maybe they have the same neat features. But in this review I'm going to point out what I think are truly innovative features. Not just features for the sake of features.
I've included the carry case (which is included in the box) in this review.

The Almost Indestructable Portable DVD Player!
Advantages: Excellent picture and sound, overall this was brilliant
Disadvantages: None
... Packaging
This came in a mainly red coloured cardboard box. It had sliver and white colours on it as well. The white colouring is used for the writing that you will see on either side, on the back and on the front as well. The silver is used in a horizontal line, the whole way around the rim of the lid and this goes completely around the box. The box is of medium size and has a handy little part at the top (you pull this out in order to open the lid.) On every part you can see a picture of the portable dvd player and the tiny remote that is provided with it. The box is very nice and well presented. I especially like the part on the lid to open and close it with. Because when you open "some boxes." You literally have to wreck them to get into them and then you are left with a demolished box. One that you want to throw in the bin...

It was an Amazing portable dvd player!!
Advantages: its portable and the screen turns around a full 180 degrees
Disadvantages: un-reliable after a years usage
...I recieved this as a present at christmas in 2007. I used it many times in the car, when i went away camping with my fiancee to watch dvds.
It come in a bright blue box, well packaged with the remote control and two batteries which were supplied. The dvd player itself and the rechargeable Li-Polymer battery which can be taken on and off. It also comes with an Ac adaptor. The Size of the player is (H)3.5, (W)26.7, (D)20.6cm and Weight of it is light weighing only 1.1kg. The dvd player supports the reading of Region 2 dvds.
This dvd player has a screen which turns round a full 180 degrees one way only, and then can fold back down on itself so the screen is on the outside. Its very handy for watching in the car on a rainy day as it can fit on the dashboard of a car. It has a screen size is 8.9in (22.5cm) visible LCD TFT and plays cd...

Panasonic Portable DVD player Review.
Advantages: Great if you work away.
Disadvantages: Battery life
...The Panasonic LS80-K is quit a stylish little portable DVD player with its black interior and silver housing this looks the business. And not only does it look the business but it is and I can gladly say that the Panasonic LS80-K portable DVD player also delivers. Perfect for those who live on the move a lot such as contract workers or truck drivers. But you don't have to live on the move to appreciate owning one of these I for instance have used it on many occasions when on long fishing or camping trips. I must admit that not all my fishing trips are packed with activity so this is good to keep you entertained.
Some of the main features include an 8.5 inch LCD screen, with DVD player which can play DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD+R, DVD-RAM. The Panasonic LS80-K will also play all of your DivX films as well as JPEG, VCD and most other media...

Technika MP-308 4GB MP3 player with FM tuner
Advantages: Wide range of features
Disadvantages: Difficult to navagate menus
...The MP-308 is Tesco?s current top of the range mini MP3 player with FM radio, and at 3p shy of £30 places it firmly in the budget end of the market.
Having very recently ?goosed? my previous player doing a firmware upgrade, I got mine as an impulse purchase.
It?s small ? about the same size as a lighter, and has a rechargeable battery, so running costs are minimal.
You get everything you need; the player, a USB lead, a pair of cheap headphones, and a set of paper instructions and a mini-CD.
In fact if you?ve previously owned an MP3 player, you can probably dispense with the last two items, the player supports traditional ?drag?n?drop? from your ?my music? folder.
The instructions suggest that it?s far better to use the application which comes with the machine, that way you can make playlists, catalogue your albums and so...

The Best Portable DVD Player For This Price!
Advantages: Great picture, Good audio, Nice to look at.
Disadvantages: Sound cannot go as high as some other portable DVD players.
...Introduction
=
I would like to start this review by stating why I chose to buy this product instead of the many other portable DVD players that I could have bought. The first reason was simply the price. This was the cheapest Portable DVD player that I could find at my local Electronics store. You must understand that I do not travel all that often so I just wanted a cheap portable DVD player so that I would not get bored during any long journeys that I would encounter by Train or Car during the summer. To put it simply if I did not have this device when I was travelling I would have been incredibly bored. Portable DVD players become lifesavers on long journeys.
This machine was also useful for those times when I just fancied lying back on my bed and watching a film. Even though my TV with DVD player was just feet away, I...

Passion for fashion
Advantages: Popular brand dvd player which is simple to use
Disadvantages: small screen
...Bratz dvd player.
It appears that Barbie is on her way out, and the thing of the moment seems to be those overly pouting lip glossed Bratz girls.
So, for the Little Miss who travels by car to Italy, it seemed the logical progression to try to alleviate the boredom with a portable dvd player, and what better than one shaped like lips.
Not being overly technical, I will describe it in layman?s terms.
~~What do I get~~
Inside the box, I naturally get the dvd player, but also included in this box is: remote with 32 functions (no, we haven?t used them all), AC adaptor, chargeable battery pack, and headphones, so no need to worry about the noise when travelling.
There is also a full set of easy to understand instructions
~~The dvd player~~
Fully portable, this is about 10? by 6?, with a 6? screen. The whole thing is...
