A decent but basic 2 star hotel near Bournemouth Pier
Advantages: Good value for money and good location.
Disadvantages: Based on the price, none.
...heating radiators, but also had openable windows which looked out on to the sea.
Good wardrobe space, a dressing table and draw space.
The bed was comfortable enough and the linen and pillows were of a good standard.
The restaurant/bar was reasonable and the staff on reception were polite and helpful. I did not have a car but there was some car parking space outside but I don't know if this would incur an extra charge.
The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Bournemouth pier and a similar distance from Bournemouth town centre. Its abour 2 Km from Bournemouth Railway Station.
Hotel stays in Bournemouth are quite expensive so I'd recommend The Russell Court as one of the better value 2 star hotels to stay at....

Veron, Verona, wherefore art thou Verona
Advantages: Beautiful City, lots to see & do
Disadvantages: None
...with theatre & amphitheatre. The city goes back much further than the Romans though, and the oldest recorded settlement here was in the 2nd Centenary BC.
The city now follows the Roman street plan, so it is very easy to find your way around.
In the 1800's the Austrians constructed defensive walls were further out from the city centre, these walls still exist, and you can in fact walk on them right the way around Verona (it will take the best part of a day to do it though) I did most of it, and there are some amazing gates (Porta) to see
*** How do you get there? ***
I flew to Verona direct from Gatwick with British Airways, there are many other airlines which land here. The taxi from the Airport to my hotel was 30 Euro
You could get the train to Verona, from many parts of Europe. The city centre is a 20 minute walk from...

Where for art thou Verona
Advantages: A beautiful city with lots to offer
Disadvantages: Italy itself can be a little expensive
...at the Tombs of the Scaligers. The Scaliger family ruled the city of Verona from the 13th century to the late 14th century. The tombs themselves are a series of funerary monuments commemorating the family and reflect a gothic style of architecture. They are situated in an adjoining courtyard to the church of Santa Maria Antica and are surrounded by an exquisitely decorated wrought iron fence.
After being cultural for a while what else is there to do?
Verona is also home to a great many markets that sell all manner of fruit and vegetables, as well as numerous tourist souvenirs. These markets are well worth browsing, as the prices are reasonable and the products of a decent quality. I myself can vouch for the quality Verona's fruit cups, which cost in the region of 1.5 - 2.5 Euros and contain a wide variety of chopped and washed mixed fruits...

The Star Hotel - An absolute Gem!
Advantages: Food - Staff - Location - Everything
Disadvantages: NOTHING !
...Just back from a wonderful stay at The Star hotel in Kingussie. We stayed for a 5 night break in Sept. and cannot find fault.
We were welcomed by the owner, and shown to our room.
Good size, with large double bed, nice dressing table & warbrobe with plenty of space for all our walking gear. Tea & Coffe making facilities aswell as an iron & hairdryer. You can have the option of having a bath or shower, we chose bath, which was huge!
Ample car parking behind the hotel which also doubles as a little beer garden.
Breakfast & dinner included in price...and to be honest we have never eaten so much in our lives!!! Absolutely amazing especially for the price! A full range of choices for breakfast, fruits, cereals & of course porridge! Orange juice on tap! Once you've devoured that, a full breakfast menu to choose from...from the full...

Hotel Antares - road motel
Advantages: Conveniently lost in the middle of nowhere (so you will not bump into it unexpectedly).
Disadvantages: A total conn - read on..
...per hour and are not on time. It is too far to walk to Verona but Villa Franca (a small town), is approximately 40 min. walking.
The hotel has two parts, of which only the second, modern part can be said to resemble a 4 star building.
If you book a package holiday (e.g. Ebookers.com), you will almost certainly be placed in the older part which is characterised by the following:
A dirty, tiny single lift for all 5 floors (wait forever for it..).
Faulty / non-operating air-conditioning (and the area is quite humid - we had to leave the insect inviting windows open at night).
Worn / dirty wallpaper (splash stains on the wall next to our bed).
Analogue TV with poor reception. Only 3 channels were watchable.
Faulty furniture (door handles that come off, etc).
There was a phone in the room which is useless because we were unable to...

Lego Star Wars- The Video Game, for ps2 - Fun for all ages!
Advantages: Good WHOLESOME Family FUN - ITS Star Wars !! simple and addictive
Disadvantages: none really - my be a little tame for more serious/grown up gamers??Thats all
...I think my son was a pretty late starter when it comes to video gaming . I bought a ps2 for the house in 2007 when my son was 6 years old and part of the deal was that I got to choose two free games with it.
...Knowing my son has a ton of lego which he plays with all the time! and Star Wars being WELL, Star Wars! I chose Lego Star Wars the video game as one of the games for my new family console.
Before that moment ,my son knew very little -if anything about star wars but that was about to change!
Now lets get to the game.
The game begins in Dexters Diner. Dexters Diners is where you begin the game each time you switch it on. Here you choose which episode you want to play a scene from, providing the door to the scene and episode has been unlocked.
You will see that there are 6 doors leading from Dexters Diner. 2...

The Star Hotel, Kingussie
Advantages: Great Value for Money
Disadvantages: Nothing
...My Husband and I have just returned from The Star Hotel, the hotel while being old fashioned it is extremelly clean and the staff very helpful and pleasant, the food is excellant I defy anyone to find better value for the money, the day before I arrived I injured my back and the girl on reception called Tanya kept heating my back pad in the microwave oven for me, she is a little treasure, on our second day we booked to return in March 2009 and we are looking forward to it, yes the hotel has no lifts but that is no problem, the portions of the food given are exceptional I'm sure I've put a stone on in the four days we were there. It is in a great location for seeing all other local sites, I can really recommend going to see the Reindeers just outside Aviemore a truly great experience...

Exceeded my expectations
Advantages: Clean and cheap-ish, close to main train station
Disadvantages: Not a great place for socialising
...would recommend this place. With hotel prices being what they are, you might not be able to afford a 2/3 star hotel, and considering this is only rated as a one star hotel, it's an exceptional find.

A Clear performance for Verona
Advantages: A Cheap, but good performing LCD monitor
Disadvantages: Contrast ratio could be improved
...I've had my 22" Hannspree Verona for a while now, and I've only got a good opinion of it. I purchased it from Misco for £145, where I also added an HDMI cable. That's right - It has both VGA and HDMI connection sockets.. Whether you want to hook it up to your PC (my graphics card has an HDMI port) or your DVD player you can do it with the increased clarity afforded by HDMI.
***Features***
The monitor itself boasts several features in addition to the HDMI connectivity. With a maximum resolution of 1680 x 1050 there is ample of space on the desktop, and allows for a large display area. It features a contrast ratio of 1000:1, and an image brightness of 300cd/m2. Whilst the contrast ratio isn't the best out on the market, it is more than sufficient for most daily tasks (If you use its dynamic contrast then you can increase this...

Six star service from a 4 star hotel.
Advantages: Close to all the sites and sounds of Venice.
Disadvantages: It is a bit on the expensive side.
...Hotel Al Ponte Antico. Venice.
The hotel Al Ponte Antico is a four star hotel in the centre of Venice. It is situated on the Grand Canal near the Rialto Bridge and has spectacular views of the bridge from the balcony.
The hotel is part of a 15th century palace which has been lovingly restored by its current owner to its former glory. Each room is individually decorated in Louis XV period style elegance to a very high standard. There are only 9 rooms in the hotel which means that service is very personal and informal. The rooms contain the usual facilities such as minibar, Wi-Fi access, although we did not use it on this occasion, direct dial telephone, flat screen television and a superb bathroom with bidet and a multipoint shower. The bed was very comfortable.
On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by Oliver who made us most...
