Quite simply, the Vest, I mean best.

Disadvantages: You can't own all 3 in one box

...What introduction do you really need for Die Hard, If you don't know the story or seen a clip, where have you been... Anyway for those small few of you who don't know and for those of you that do, here is a small recap into the all American action film. This is a story about a cop in the right place at the wrong time. Willis, a New York cop, comes to LA for Christmas to reconcile with his wife who moved there some months previously. It just so happens that the high-rise building she works in is going to be taken over by a master thief played by Alan Rickman. String vests in an MSG gravy....yummy

Advantages: Cheap, nice noodles, quick
Disadvantages: Too salty, full of calories, fat, MSG and salt

...mum calling them string vests. It does taste to me a lot like the beef flavour, which tastes nothing like beef, but less sweet. I?m afraid it?s nothing more than average, and for 381 calories and 14g of fat I want better than average. On the upside it only cost 80 pence, which is cheaper than buying a sandwich. Well I ate it, but I wasn?t very nice. It filled me up, but it gave me indigestion. I would eat another one, but only if there was no other option. Recommended for people who are drunk, too busy to cook, too busy to make a sandwich, students, lacking taste buds, less delicate than me....

Go Vest - Life isn't Peaceful There...

Advantages: A really fun action movie.
Disadvantages: Absolutely no plot or characterisation.

...basically goes; chase, explosion, chase, explosion, chase, wisecrack, explosion, threat, chase?you get the idea. There isn't much in the way of plot here - everything's just an excuse for ever more inventive ways of blowing things up. Even the motivations of the terrorists come down to one guy feeling peeved he didn't get the job he wanted. The dialogue is basic action movie fare; some pseudo-science explaining what the villains are up to and how it can be stopped and lots of snappy one-liners for the hero. Virtually every review I've read of this movie says "Bruce Willis dons the vest once more as John McClane" except he doesn't. Following the Willis rule of thumb, if he has no hair then there's no vest and here he's as bald as an egg. But he is back in action hero mode as the rumpled detective. Teenage Feelings On Village Life

Advantages: Catchy, Up Beat

...The track 'More Life in A Tramps Vest' by the Stereophonics is one of the 11 tracks on their debut Word Gets Around album, which is one of , if not the best album they have ever made. The track has a quick tempo, has a simple beat and rhythm (provided by their original and now ex-drummer Stuart Cable) and of course the very distinctive gravely voice of lead singer Kelly Jones. The song, to me, sums up what life can be like in a small village, with people bickering and gossiping about really trivial things which are important to them yet to a young person seems pathetic and boring. The lyrics are catchy and clever and brings a smile to face whenever I hear the track. The Word Gets Around album is quite old now, having being released in 1997 so rather than hunt around for the single I would highly recommend getting the album as they...

Willis dons white vest and becomes Super John

Advantages: good chemistry between 3 main actors, tight script, good action sequences
Disadvantages: sense of deja vu, stunts are a little too exagerated to be believed

...Another typically efficient movie from director John McTiernan, better than DH2 but lags slightly on originality compared to the first & best. Rather than following the same one-man-against-them-all scenario as witnessed in the first 2 movies, McTiernan offers a bit more variety with a buddy-buddy Lethal Weapon formula, which works very well. Samuel L. Jackson outcools Willis by a wide margin as Zeus the black electrician from Harlem who gets involved in saving Willis' life. Jackson hardly has to work his character very hard because it is so becoming of his great talents. Willis is of course excellent as the picked-on cop who has now seen his marriage & career flushed down the pan, and yet he is still in demand - by all the bad guys!
