...If you are currently running your XBOX 360 through a TV using the supplied RGB Cables then you are missing out on the power of the 360. When I first bought mine in December 2005 I was using the supplied RGB Cables , this was o.k I was happy with the result , But I wanted desperately to try the HD modes . I had visions of spending £600+ On a New Fangled HDTV from the local Argos Until I read that Literally any old PC monitor would run the XBOX 360 in HDTV mode with these cables !!! I spent my hard earned cash on a set & hooked them up to my Relisys LCD TV ( P.C Monitor & TV all in one) Using the VGA Input . I went to the settings for the 360 & changed to it to 1360 x 768 . They are also well know for their good quality and reliable cables and make so many different types there one for whatever you need to do really. Because this is a VGA cable one end goes in your PC or laptop and the other in the back of your TV. It really a s simple as that. All laptops and pcs being made now have this capability to plug this cable into them and the port is usually a blue one which is longer but a little thinner than a USB port. Wii component cable- Well worth the money

Advantages: sharper/brighter picture, opens up more ports on TV, saves hassle.
Disadvantages: quite expensive for a simple console improvement

...The Nintendo Wii component video cable really is a sound investment if you are the owner of an HD/ LCD TV, and obviously a nintendo Wii. Before i bought it, i had trouble with the picture quality and contrast on many of the games. Games such as Wii Sports were fine, but more of the action/adventure games such as Zelda or Splinter Cell give a very dark picture which can sometimes be hard to make out what was happening. The only way i could combat this problem was to adjust the contrast on my television which did help, but was alot of hassle. With the component cable, the picture is not only much brighter, but much sharper and defined.
