The most famous fashion streets in Rome are the three parallel streets that all run into Via del Corso - Via Condotti, Via Borgognona and Via Frattina. Traveling Via Vias

Advantages: Lovely beach....the south of France, dahling
Disadvantages: Not much to do without a car

...If you want to bemuse a foreigner, send them to the bit of France from which I've just returned. Not satisfied with the usual 'one name per place' rule, you'll find references to the areas of Vias, Vias Plage and Vias sur Mer (on post cards, in brochures, on the internet) but, confusingly, only 2 different parts of town, the touristy end and the old French bit. ****** Travel We drove Manchester to Liverpool, flew Liverpool to Nimes, taxied to Nimes town centre, caught a train to Agde and then taxied to Vias Plage. Travelling days were long - in excess of 8 hours - but if you live in other parts of the UK, or are happy to pay a little more for your flights you can reduce the trip quite significantly by flying to Montpellier and then grabbing a cab from there. We chose the fun long way round instead, and paid £100 each...

Review of Vias Plage

Get Shopping on Via del Corso.

Advantages: Plenty of variety, not all designer, lots of affordable places, food and cinema.
Disadvantages: You might fall in love with designer clothes in the windows!

.... Via del Corso runs from Piazza Venetia, below the Il Vittoriano monument in the center of Rome, all the way up to Piazza del Popolo in the north of the city. It's one of the biggest streets for shopping in Rome and is frequented by tourists and locals, looking for a variety of goods. There are no sites that would be of interest to a tourist on Via del Corso, but there are so many very nearby such as the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and Forum Romanum. So if you're doing a lot of walking around the city, then you're bound to find yourself on this street at some point. It's certainly well worth a visit as it's an interesting street with a good variety of shops and a good atmosphere. ...Very disappointed! I have the French map only version with the latest software Vs7. I brought it due to the full European life time license for live traffic information including major roads not just the motorways as some have. Unfortunately to receive this information you need to be connected to the car mount and have its external aerial connected. This makes forward planning an testing experience of hanging out a window with a damp finger against the contacts on the unit while trying to tune to a FM signal. But back to basics. Version 7 was only released in the UK at end of October I seem to have a pre launch version . I contacted Via Michelin, not easy, and they have added a rushed French manual on line but its poor pictures and layout make it very difficult to use. it seems any changes to try and improve the poor performance...

...For a good night out visit Via Fossa on Canal Street in Manchester. There are tables outside for when the weather permits and inside there are different levels and a dance floor DJ and lots of nooks and crannies to hide away in and enjoy the evening!! One thing to watch out for though are the low flying speakers *g*. A friend did manage to walk into one of them ... he was under the influence of alcohol at the time but it is something to be aware of. People are friendly and loo's are clean which is a big plus in a busy place in town!!There was still toilet roll left at the end of the night, a real bonus. It's worth paying it a visit and I am sure that once seen you will want to go again!! It is open until 2am so you can party half the night away in one spot at least *s*...

VIA TV - Don't Buy!!!

Disadvantages: Too many to list here!

...Do not, under any circumstances, buy anything from this 'business'. Ordered (and paid for) an item and a week or so later received email saying the goods were delayed in a container somewhere. Smelt a rat so cancelled, as was an option at that point. Received cancellation email with promise that money would be credited back within 7 days (even though I paid through paypal as an instant payment). Following non-receipt of refund tried continually to contact Via TV and only after email was sent threatening Paypal / trading standards complaint was email received stating that they werent able to give me a refund as I had never paid for the goods! That's a new one! Sent back PayPal receipt along with transaction reports so wll see what happens next but am not confident of receiving a penny back with out a fight, probably through the Pay...

...I would definately NOT recommend this company to ANYBODY! Products seem cheap to buy and very good offers but they are absolutely rubbish with communication (they send group emails out instead of personal ones). I have never found a more USELESS company than VIA TV. I ordered over 7 weeks ago and still not received my goods. I was told it wasn't in stock before ordering but have had a few emails since saying they would be with me shortly. I have had 4 different dates now and still nothing at my door! I have had no replies to my emails. I wish I had read these before I wasted my money on VIA TV - I would have stayed clear!!!
