FREE DVDs
Advantages: Free trial, large choice, post included, new realeases
Disadvantages: see review
...I like movies and I like freebies, so when you get offered both in one swoop you?re bound to accept! I used my two week free trial with this company and remained with them for a couple of monthsbefore moving on to try many other companies free trials (and winning a new DVD player on Tesco DVD rental site on their free trial offer). I then had an email from DVDs 365 asking me to go back, and offering me a free DVD if I did so. I had just left Tesco (with my new DVD player) so I chose to go back with them.
∆◊◊ THE SERVICE THEY OFFER ∆◊◊
Basically it?s like going to a video shop and hiring films on DVD, except you don?t pay for each film you chose ? rather a monthly fee for which you can watch as many movies as you can fit in, for us this is usually around 8 a month (2 a week usually weekends...

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54
Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.
...At first I wasn't convinced by up-scaling DVD player technology but was persuaded after reading an article in "What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision" magazine. Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied.
On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. All the components such as cables, remote and manuals were well presented in their own protective plastic bags, to keep them protected. The player...

The Iceman stayeth - an unusual suspect in Spacey
Advantages: Large range of actors from hollywood names to the unknown play here
Disadvantages: Slightly off the beaten tourist routes; tickets can be expensive
...Although I don't consider myself to be a theatre buff, this is one of the theatres I have been to the most often. The main draw of this theatre originally was the curiosity of having a Hollywood actor (Kevin Spacey) become Creative Director of a little known theatre on the south bank of the Thames, which is not near the West End, and not likely to attract many tourists. As the crow flies, it's only about 12 miles away from where I live, but prior to Mr Spacey's appointment, I confess I had never been there, nor knew much of it's history.
~ Some history ~
It's heritage is something The Old Vic is rightly very proud of. All the great stage actors Britain has produced have at one time or another played here, including: John Gielgud; Ralph Richardson; Peggy Ashcroft; Charles Laughton; Michael Redgrave, Alec Guinness, Laurence...

Now That's Just Silly
Advantages: A couple of bangers
Disadvantages: Generally weak
...The rapper V.I.C. (taking his stage name from his real name of Victor) made his debut when he released ?Beast? in 2008 to back up the young Atlanta rappers breakthrough single ?Get Silly?, which was seen to be a track that simply played on the popularity of alleged ?Ringtone Rap? of this period when the likes of himself, Soulja Boy and Lil? Wil gained success with dance-based Pop-Rap material.
1. ?Beast?
2. ?Bop? (Lude)
3. ?Bop Bop Bop?
After giving the listeners a little something to give them a chance to understand where exactly he is taking this album, you see that he comes with a club banger of a joint, but one that already uses a sample from his breakthrough single (to show that in spite of just opening up the album, he?s already running out of ideas). He does nothing but jack from others from this point on some heavy beats...

VIC your underarms
Advantages: Nice smell. Easy to use.
Disadvantages: None
...VIC stands for Vaseline Intensive Care. I was on the lookout for some more deodorant, and decided on trying something I'd never tried before. And thought I'd give this anti-perspirant roll-on deodorant a go. In Superdrug I paid just £0.99p for a 50ml bottle of this. This was on reduced offer at the time, so presume the normal price is normally over a pound.
PACKAGING
<><><><><>
The deodorant comes in an all white small bottle. On the front is the brand name and the type of aroma you're buying - in my case, it's 'Fresh Balance'.
On the back are the ingredients. There is a tab in the corner to lift up. Under the ingredients is a small paragraph giving you the directions and the contact details.
This is all the information you get. They do tell you it's a Unilever brand.
The white screw on/off top is big...

Powder Hounds....
Advantages: For people with big feet...
Disadvantages: Limited Binding choice.
...I have big feet. There I said it and I am unashamed. When it come to snowboards I need a wide board to stop my toes being too far over the edge of the board. I am certainly not the only snowboarder out there with big feet, so why oh why do so few manufacturers build wide style boards.
Anyway, thankfully morrow have, and it is affordable as well. I bought the 157 version and find it to be a great ride. I am probably an intermediate snowboarder, I can just do 360's and I like half pipes. I also like charging through powder and fast downhills, I use this board for all of these.
It is great in the half pipe (although to be honest it is probably alittle too long for proper half pipe riding), it is fast for the downhills, it has plenty of flex for landing jumps, but where it really comes into its own is in powder. I think this is...

FREE DVDS
Advantages: up to date dvds, four weeks free hire with 3 dvds at a time,
Disadvantages: see review
...My recent quest for FREE DVD hire I visited and many DVD web sites that offered a free trial. Now call me tight (no that wasn?t an invite), but I like bargains and freebies and am not ashamed to say so.
My quest took me to enough sites to hire DVDs for about four months so far (with plenty to come too). My latest free DVD site also happens to be the best I have tried for several reasons (see rest of op); the site in question is Blockbuster.co.uk.
Other sites that I have had free rentals from and then cancelled have all been similar, two weeks free trial with two DVD?s per time ? which in effect gives you about four free DVD?s. With Blockbuster?s things are different slightly ? which add a great deal of benefit to us the customer. Firstly, you get FOUR whole weeks free rental, which equates to at double the length of time most...

Fancy a drink in the vic
Advantages: great TV
Disadvantages: None i know of
...the occaional guest star, but not many. The main talking places are, the Cafe and the public house - the queen Vic. The Vic is run by the ex Carry - on star Barbara Windsor, alias Peggy Mitchell. She has recently found her beloved husband had been having ual relationship with that woman! That woman being Pat Evans. She is married to Roy, who has a son called Barry, who is married to Natalie. But enough of this: more onto the important things of storylines.
The storylines reflect the true life of the Great British public mostly! Some can be exaggerated but most are quite good and realistic. The setting of the square is also realistic, typical London, dirty, cloudy, and dull!
EastEnders is screened on BBC1 Mondays 8pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays 7.30pm with a omnibus edition on Sundays at around 3 pm....

John Travolta, bridges & the Queen Vic
Advantages: Have had a lot of nice dreams.
Disadvantages: Some of them haven't been so nice.
...I've had some truely remarkable dreams in all of my 35 years on this Earth. Some have been nice, some have been daft and funny, and some have been just plain weird! I'll tell you about the weird ones. Don't laugh at them! Afterall, you can't control what goes on in your head when you're asleep!
1) JOHN TRAVOLA & THE QUEEN VIC
Yes, you read the title right. Let me explain. Me and my mum were sitting in the Queen Vic (Albert Square) having a drink. This was a few years ago, and Grant Mitchell and his then girlfriend Lorraine (with her deluded son Joe). They (Grant and Lorraine) were serving behind the bar. Then walks in John Travolta with a whole big crew of people with him. Only, John Travolta was stark raving naked. Ziltch. Nothing! And, as I was sitting, you can guess where my eyes first landed! Believe me when I...
