Club Amigo Atlantico-good value, if a bit basic

Advantages: 24 hour bars
Disadvantages: No drinks facilities in rooms-a bit inconvenient

...We Stayed at the Club Amigo Atlantico from 17th-31st July 2005 with Sunset Holidays, a subsidiary of Thomas cook. The stay cost a total of £1200 for two of us on a 3 star, all inclusive basis. We had a great holiday, but I must note that to see real Cuba (which was not easy to do because of lack of public transport) you had to get out of the hotel and try and book trips: unfortunately with the travel companies. Although we had a good time, there was an odd atmosphere because of the Cuban guards everywhere, who segregated the Cuban guests from the English and Canadians. Furthermore, we were allowed to use their facilities, but they weren't allowed to use ours. We think this caused some resentment. Review of Three Amigos (DVD)

A fun way to look like a total idiot!

Advantages: A lot of content, easy to learn, a good workout (!), multiplayer and several game modes
Disadvantages: Controls not perfect

...Having recently got my early Christmas present of a Wii (thanks Santa!) I signed up for a free trial of a game rental company so that I could try out some games before parting with any of my hard-earned. Okay, you got me, before parting with any of the money that work pay me to sit and write reviews on Dooyoo or read my book. Hard life, I know. The first game I received off my list was Samba De Amigo, which I had read about on Amazon and was expecting some kind of a Dance Dance Revolution without the mat. very enjoyable film, suitable for all

...About the Film The basic story is about a Mexican village that is being plagued by bandits and they are looking for someone who will fight back for them. Basically think of the Magnificent Seven plotline and you are along the right lines. They send a delegation to find them some gunfighters and come across a film of the Three Amigo's who play the part of western gunslingers who rescue towns etc. However the Three Amigo's is really a Hollywood production and three hard done by and now out of work actors (played by Steve Martin, Chevy Chase and Martin Short) and is a silent film production. Would you say I had a plethora?

Advantages: A wonderful comedy cast and a director at the top of his game
Disadvantages: Watching it now reminds you that the participants best days are behind them.

A unique touch to the fajitas

...I was away on business to Perth in Scotland yet again so I decided to visit my favorite restaurant in the town Dos Amigos, this is as the name suggests a Mexican restaurant. --------------The Setting-------------- Dos Amigos is located on George Street , which is near the River Tay and the Royal George hotel which I have also reviewed. Also in the area is Perth's art gallery and just nearing completion, due to open in September 2005, is the new Perth Concert hall, so I would imagine you can expect the restaurant to be very busy on the weekends. Get away from it all at Cala San Vicente

Advantages: Peaceful resort
Disadvantages: Unsuitable for disabled and young children

...We booked with Direct Holidays for The Simar hotel in Cala San Vicente, Majorca, one week half board at less than 250 GBP. When we arrived in the resort there was nothing there except a couple of small supermarkets, three hotels, a few shops and three very nice sandy beaches. The Hotel Simar was very clean and the staff were helpful and polite and they spoke good English. Our allocated room was down several flights of steps with no lift so we asked if this could be changed. There was no problem and we were moved to a better room the following day, having asked at Reception as the Rep was not around. The hotel has its own swimming pool, a rooftop solarium overlooking the sea, a bar, restaurant, sun terraces and quiet lounge areas, there is also internet access.
