...Nottingham has two large shopping centres, the Broadmarsh Centre and the Victoria Centre, situated at opposite ends of the city centre .The Victoria Centre is the bigger of the two, containing 120 shops (not counting all the various stalls in the market area.) Getting there is easy - if you drive, there's parking for over 2700 cars . If you don't drive, don't worry - almost all the Nottingham City Transport buses stop either directly outside the Victoria Centre, or within a few minutes walk of it . Other bus companies from slightly further afield, such as Trent Barton , terminate at the local coach station within the centre . If you're walking, the centre is signposted from various points in the city centre, and at the end of the day when you're weighed down with shopping, there are 2 taxi ranks directly outside the main entrance...

Victoria Park Plaza Hotel, London It's More Than A Hotel!

...The Victoria Park Plaza in London is an amazing hotel that has very comfortable, quality rooms and staff who are friendly and professional. The best thing about The Victoria Park Plaza is that it is in a prime position just two minutes from Victoria Station and an easy walk to some of London's main attractions. I found it perfect for shopping and buying souvenirs. There were also quite a number of restaurants close by and my mum who cannot walk far didn't complain once. Although we ate at the hotel we also sampled London's China Town. It is a four star hotel and lives up to the standard. It is situated close to Buckingham Palace, Harrods, Westminster Abbey and Houses of Parliament. The hotel does not allow smoking anywhere near the building which my mum and I really appreciated because we are both none smokers. The smoking ban made...

The Victoria Luxury range certainly lives up to the name as they are a truly luxurious selection of chocolate coated biscuits. Product and Packaging The biscuit assortment is presented in a beautiful royal blue, rectangular shaped tin. The tin is sealed with a sellotape strip for freshness and once this is torn open the biscuits themselves are covered with a padded paper shield which also acts as the description for each biscuit. The tin contains 800g in weight, the biscuits are well protected in a plastic inner tray. The tin contains twelve different biscuits, all either half or fully coated in milk, plain or white chocolate. There are approx four to six biscuits in each of the varieties...

...I have just returned from staying in this hotel with my boyfriend over New Years for 2 nights. We booked it through Hotel Direct, as they offered the best deal and I have used them before without any problems. ** Hotel Location *** The address of this hotel is 2 Bridge Place,. Victoria, London, SW1V 1QA. Its situated directly opposite the side entrance of Victoria station & underground which is extremely handy! You come out of the hotel and cross the road and your in the station. Despite this, the road that it is on is pretty quiet, and there's no noise from the station, although there were a couple of building sites nearby, but these were pretty quiet (but could have been because it was New Years Day!) However, most of London is a building site at the moment, they seem to be sticking apartments up in every little space they can...

...I was working down in Cambridge a few weeks ago and the company thoughtfully pre-booked me accommodation at the Victoria Guest House on Arbury road. Rather more thoughtlessly, I was working at the opposite end of the city, so convenience was not their prime consideration. Arbury Road leads off from the inner ring road and is, in fact, relatively handy for the city centre (the north side, at least). Still, I'm getting paid for sitting in a traffic jam, so what do I care? The guest house occupies two former semi-detached Victorian villas in an area of similar houses. It's a fairly busy road and parking is quite limited. As I said, I was pre-booked so it was only a matter of turning up at the door and introducing myself to the owner who was very welcoming. Advantages: fascinating piece of social history, the intersting guided tours, the beautiful stained glass windows and the mosiac floors
Disadvantages: unlileny to be a success as a working swimming pool due to more modern pools

...So who watched BBC2?s conservation voting program Restoration then? Wasn?t it an interesting fascinating series? Those who watched it will know that Victoria Baths in Manchester was the winner. I know there were complaints that they were not old enough, not worthy of the money or where not a country house but I voted for them . I suppose I am biased as they are about quarter of an hours walk from where I am sitting and they were my local building. However I did not jump on the bandwagon as I had visited them on a quiet open day about a year before Restoration. I revisited them on the day of the final and the place was absolutely mobbed. It is a shame it takes a television program to highlight history. Before then I am sure many people did not really want to know at all. ...As a special treat my husband took me to Stratford for the weekend to watch a play at the Courtyard Theatre, and we were lucky enough to stay at the Stratford Victoria Hotel. This is a four-star hotel with excellent facilities and very polite, friendly and efficient staff. Our double room was extremely comfortable and well stocked with hair-dryer, power points, wifi, flat-screen tv, kettle, fridge and air-conditioning (handy as we were there for the hottest weekend of the year!) The bed was exceptionally comfortable, the bathroom was very nicely decorated and the shower was wonderful - a nice hot power-shower. All areas of the hotel are nicely decorated, the gardens are lovely and the breakfast provided in the restaurant was varied, well-cooked and delicious. The only disappointment is that there was no availability of food...
