...I've been in need of some new straighteners for months but I just couldn't justify spending over £100 on GHD's, no matter how good they are. But then I found the amazing Vidal Sassoon Microcrystal Straigheners. They are just as good as GHD and less than half the price! They make my hair super straight and shiny and it lasts all day, even if I put my hair up for a while, when I take it down it is STILL straight. It's even pretty straight when I sleep on it. My hair is quite frizzy but these take away all the frizz and just leave it super sleek and shiny :) Another fab thing about them is that they are digital, you can control the temperature and the temperature is shown on a little screen. ...In my opinion Vidal Sasson Conditioner is one of the best to use. I have found this product to be very effective for conditioning my hair. It only takes a small amount the size of a lardge coin to use in your hair. When puting it in your hair, you need to make shure you rub it in well all over your head. Then wait for a few min. and rinse it out of your hair. The choices that are available are for dry hair, oily hair, and of course normal hair. My is a bit dry and this conditioner certainly helps moistures it, and leaves it with a awsome shine, and lots of body! It is allso alot easier to manage as far as styling. I recomend this eny one male or female. Ive heard men say that use it that it helps them too, when they use it their hair stays in place and isnt limp and going in 10 different directions! ...As I have naturally curly hair, I hinted for some hair straighteners for Christmas. I had a pair by Vidal Sassoon and was impressed with the packaging and the design of them. I couldn't wait to use them, so christmas morning, there I was freshly dried hair and the straighteners at the ready. I let them get hot so that it wouldn't take too long to do. I ahve short hair and wanted to achieve a spiky, messy affect. I sat there for ages waiting for them to get hot and then it was the moment of truth. They certainly straightened my hair, but to my horror, they burnt the ends of my hair. I had not long had it cut and knew that I had no dead ends that might do this. The ends of my hair went almost ginger with the rest of my hair being quite dark auburn. I had to wash it again and give it a deep condition to try to repair the damage... Read review

...I have naturally wavy hair and I spend many hours and quite a bit of money, trying to find products that make it easier for me to have the sleek, shiny, straight hair that I covet! I have found it! Two products from Vidal Sassoon have really impressed me - moisturising hair wash (shampoo) moisturising daily therapy (conditioner) I was lucky enough to get free samples of these products to try, and after one try I went out and bought the full size versions. Obviously you still have to spend time drying and styling your hair so that it dries sleek (hairdryer pointing down the hair shaft, don't towel dry, large round brush etc) but the end results are far better than when I use other hair care products. I really don't understand how a shampoo and conditioner can make such a difference, but they do. Because the products are so expensive... Read review

...I was given these straighteners to replace some GHD's. They sounded really good with a 3m cord, on/off switch, indicator light, fast heat-up, variable heat settings and ceramic plates. I also liked the slim design and black colour. However, I was disappointed with the result. Whereas my old GHD's got really hot and straightened my hair instantly, these Vidal Sassoon straighteners did not feel as hot, even on the highest setting. I had to use them on each section of hair a number of times to achieve the desired result, and my hair is naturally quite straight so I wasn't asking too much of them! I would recommend these straighteners if your hair is not particularly wavy to start with, and you are looking for a mid-priced model. However, if you want the best result that is available then these are not for you.... Read review

...I have that type of hair that if a rain cloud looks at it, it will go frizzy. It needs all the help it can get!! As it is also colour treated hair, and find that a lot of conditioners do not condition my hair well enough - it either turns into a messy thatch of straw, or looks dull and brittle. Not nice. I have lots of very fine long blonde hair which is a nightmare to look after. A friend of mine recomended the Vidal Sassoon shampoos and conditioner to me as she has had good experience with them as well. She also has long blonde hair that needs a good conditioner to make it managable. I have found the conditioner to be fairly easy to find - local chemists, supermarkets and low cost toilettries stores all stock both the shampoo and conditioner. The product is very resonably priced. ...I'd rather not use a 2 in 1 shampoo if I can help it. I'd prefer to use seperate shampoo and conditioner any day. However, our shower is currently out of action and so I for the time being I have been forced into washing my hair in the bath. Now as well as not being fond of 2 in 1 shampoos, I'm also not fond of washing my hair in the bath because it never feels like I'm getting it completely clean. However, seeing as it's quite a major problem with have with the shower and its going to be quite expensive to fix, I'm going to have to suffer the joys of washing my hair in the tub for a while longer. Seeing as rinsing in the bath isn't as easy as in the shower I've had to opt for the dreaded 2-in-1 treatment. And the one I opted for was Vidal Sassoon's 2 in 1 Active Care. ...Ever used your hair straighteners only to find that you hair appears somewhat frizzy and nowhere near straight?! Or find that you try to blow-dry your hair straight but to no avail? Well worry no more because Vidal Sassoon Sleek Straightening Balm is here to save the day! At around £10 a tube, it may seem somewhat pricey, but you only need to use an amount the size of a 10p for it to do it's work. The only problem with it currently is that it was formerly stocked in shops such as Boots and Superdrug, but it now appears to have been taken off the shelves and I can only find it at Vidal Sasson salons. However, it isn't any more expensive from the salons than it was in Boots. The problem with the fact that it only appears to currently be available from Vidal Sasson itself, is that there are not that many salons throughout the country... Read review
