...I bought this card simply because I saw it on offer for £10 in maplins and I thought its worth a try, well its easily worth its full price, the installation is one of the simplest ever, but you wouldn't expect less from Pinnacle hardware! Windows has native drivers but you tend to find devices always work better with the drivers for the device. For the price you get a basic version of pinnacle studio as well as a bonus disk. Just install the card into a PCI slot load up the PC and insert disc 1, follow the step by step instructions and your done. Now when you connect your camera to the PCs fire wire port it recognised the cameras DV features instantly and auto run pops up like it would if you had plugged in any other memory card offering for you to edit the video in pinnacle studio. A great way to preserve memories!

...I recently bought the dazzle dvd recorder as a way to move old family videos onto my laptop. It retails at around £30 online, so I figured this was the cheapest method to use. It is incredibly simple to operate and quite honestly a lifesaver, without it I would have no way to store analogue footage onto my laptop. The recorder is small and unlike the picture mine is not red but white. Out of one end there is a usb attachment which links it to the computer. Into the other end you plug the red, white and yellow cables which would usually plug into your tv. As long as you have a way of playing the tape you want to convert and the correct cables to play it on a standard tv you will be able to use this device.
