...From Oasis's ?Definitely Maybe? to ?Word gets Around? by the stereophonics and Wet Wet Wet's ?Popped In Souled OutI? have always liked band's debut albums. I find them raw , enthusiastic and aspirational but at the same time down to earth and easy to relate to. To add to my list is ?Hats off to the Buskers the Mercury nominated debut by by Dundonian quartet the View. The View are a young indie band who hail from the Dundee district of Dryburgh. There music is rooted in their background with lead singer Kyle Falconer's vocals proudly displaying the Dundonian burr, which is a pleasure to listen to. Queens View, Elie - A Holiday Home that's a Real Home from Home

Advantages: Very homely, well equipped, excellent location, fab window seat, sea view
Disadvantages: Expensive in the summer - but so is everywhere in Elie. Not suitable for the infirm.

...Queens View is situated at 31 High Street, Elie in the Neuk of Fife in Scotland. It is a very comfortable and well appointed two bedroom second-floor, self catering flat. We stayed there for four nights during October 2009. We found it to be more than holiday accommodation ? it feels more like a home from home. The entrance and stairwell are carpeted and appear exceptionally well maintained and clean with artificial flowers and some real plants. There is a security entrance system and lights which automatically switch off after three minutes. Queens View itself consists of a twin bedroom, a double bedroom, a shower room, a dining kitchen and a living room. Disadvantages: Hilly area if you have walking disabilities

...wouldn't fancy the idea of walking along that bridge on a cold windy day as i'm terrified of heights but the view from there must be amazing. Below the Island is the Towan beach which is a popular family beach and one where dogs are welcome too which isn't the case with all beaches. When the tide is out you can clamber onto the rocks where there are small rock pools for the kids to investigate and there is even a small cave. There is a seating area where you can get something to eat and hire boogie boards etc and a lifeguard on duty during the summer months. The Blue Reef Aquarium is also situated here where you can see all manner of aquatic life from crabs to sharks . ...As A View to a kill was the first Bond film I ever saw in the cinema and I have very good memories of it, I thought I should review this one. This was made in 1985 and was Roger Moores last outing as James Bond, he did not really want to do this one as he thought that he was too old at this stage to play the part. The storyline was actually set up for the new Bond Timothy Dalton but there was a last minute hitch and the film Dalton was currently working on had been put on hold and unfortunately for him he could not get out of it to start his first Bond film. The producers had no option to persuade Roger to do his last one in the role. Disadvantages: If you book a cheap one - you'll get cheap facilities

...From a personal point of view, if I am going abroad it is to sample another country's culture and food, meet the local people and explore the sites, so the idea of being in a large hotel complex for two weeks has never appealled to me, but I can see that for families, it may seem an economical option. Having worked in the travel industry for over 10 years, I think I can say that when it comes to all inclusive - "you get what you pay for". If you book with one of the top range companies offering all inclusive, and the price is realistic for 2 weeks with food and drink etc, then you are most likely going to have an exceptional experience. ...This year we decided to have a short break during the May Day bank holiday weekend somewhere in the UK. We had always wanted to visit Pembrokeshire in the South West corner of Wales, and so decided to look up some places to stay in the area. As a result of our search, we decided to book 3 nights at a B&B called Atlantic View. The place itself is situated in Broad Haven, which lies 6 miles to the west of Havordfordwest. It is easy enough to get to although it does lie on a very narrow and steep hill, on a cliff overlooking the bay and beach in Broad Haven.
