Sonic Meets Tails
Review of Sonic 2 (MegaDrive) by DBZKing

Advantages: good game
Disadvantages: tails... oooooohhhhh i hate tails

...Introduction Sonic 2, the sequel to the ever loving game... Sonic the Hedghog, I will be giving info on the characters later in the review, and also alot ablout a load of other things too. Brb... need food... (3mins later) Im Back... MMMMMM Food, now where was I? Agh yes... Sonic 2. Well as this game is on the Megadrive, it is not that long. You can either be Sonic on his own, Tails on his own, or Sonic and Tails together, this game is called Sonic and Tails in some conutries. If you have Sonic and Knuckles (another Sonic game), you can hook the 2 cartrages together, then on Sonic 2 you can play as Knuckles. Which is really wiked. And you can do the Same with Sonic 3. There are loads of different Sonic games, and ill list as many as i can when I get further into the review. Sonic As you might already know, Sonic is a blue hedghog... Read review

Welcome to Sonic land
Review of Sonic Jam (Saturn) by andithegoose

Advantages: All the main Sonic games on one disc!
Disadvantages: Quite hard to find, not very Euro-centric

.... The Sonic 3D concept video looks impressive, especially as it's high-res, low textured, pop-up free environments are the opposite of what most games look like today. Sega get it wrong? Never! Finally, and saving the best until last, is the Mega CD game Sonic CD's introduction and end FMV. Nice, amateurish, early 90s animation, with a crazy J-Pop soundtrack. The Hall of Fame is my second favourite museum, as it is in effect a timeline of Sonic's history. It's interesting to see the regional differences in box art, the many different games he starred in, and to be able to view screenshots from his adventures that haven't been included on this disc. The Character Houses (one for badniks, and one for the good guys) contain some lovely pictures, including some of the old badniks from the games, which brings a tear to my eye. The Art Gallery contains... Read review

The world of Sonic, is on Sega Saturn
Review of Sonic Jam (Saturn) by DBZKing

Advantages: all the original games | a new sonic world
Disadvantages: ...

...of Sonic, he hates him very much, oh and Dr Robotnic is fat, with a stingy mistache and also a Egg Head. Graphics The graphics for the game is not top notch, and their crap ones in our days, but if we travelled back in time, those graphics when it first comes out, we would be amazed, but it can beat the original... Sonic the Hedghog. Playability Very playable, you could be playing this for hours, or serching for cheats, so you can get sound things and Level Skip. Which is very entertainging. Including the last level, which is very good, but i wont tell much about it, ill just say, that your on a moon base. Soundtrack Get the game and find out, but in my point of view, its great soundtrack because you can listen to it via options. PRICE: Around 1-10 quid. CERT: 3+ i think STAR: 3 star * * * Sonic 3 Sonic 3 is the game where Tails is in it... Read review

Sonic Change
Review of ViewSonic E771 by RainDance

Advantages: Plug & Play, Excellent colors, nice size.
Disadvantages: None

...I finally parted with my Gateway laptop and bought a desktop, with it came the View Sonic 17 inch monitor. After looking at a laptop screen for so long, this 17 in. looks huge! So far I am impressed with quality of this monitor. The screen is clear and crisp. For me it's like looking at the internet in a whole new light. If all you have ever used is a laptop then you'll understand where I am coming from! My View Sonic has 16in diagonal view space with option controls of the front lower base of the monitor. The first control is the main menu which lets you control the contrast, H/V size and positions, pin cushion and balance, trapezoid and parallel tilt, and the moire reduction deguass. You use the next two arrow up and down buttons to select the options you want from the menu's. The 4th button is the second menu which controls... Read review

Sonics Glory Days
Review of Sonic Mega Collection (GameCube) by num13er

Advantages: Nostalgia, Bonus Materials, Unlockable Games
Disadvantages: Lack of save points in many titles

.... Firstly playing as Knuckles is a greatly different experience from Sonic with his gliding and climbing abilities. Add into the fact that you continually attempt to sabotage the others progress, you get a real feeling of the story from the other sides point of view. This game is every bit as good as the previous 3, with all of its features and a great new character and levels to mess around with. Not for the rookies either as this was designed for those who had played Sonic 3 and was a direct continuation of the story so its difficulty is more evident from the beginning. 10/10 Sonic 3D (Sonic Blast in the US) 1996 ******************************************* Sonic travels to Flicky Island to visit his old friends the flickies only to find them enslaved in robots and that Robotniks planning to use them to gain the Chaos Emeralds. Now his first... Read review

A very enjoyable game
Review of Sonic Adventure 2: Battle (GameCube) by lofty109

Advantages: Replayable
Disadvantages: Bad camera angles-sometimes hard to view characters.

...with GameBoy Advance-which will provide you with further options. One of my favourite features of this game is the option of picking between "Dark or Hero side" story. Depending on which side you pick, you get to play different styles of games : Sonic & Shaddow = Fast action packed games. Knuckles & Rouge = Adventure games. Tails & Dr.Eggman = Shooting target games. Because of the many options, it is difficult to get bored of this game. There is a interesting, exciting storyline which makes you want to continue playing.Other than the Bad camera viewing, there isn't really any bad points. The only thing i would say is that the graphics could have been better, since thay haven't really improved from the Dreamcast version. Overall this is an excellent choice of game, particullary for those buying their first GameCube game, due to its easy... Read review

Sonic's 7 greatest hits
Review of Sonic Mega Collection (GameCube) by kazz116

Advantages: Hidden games, special bonus material. It's fun and very enjoyable.
Disadvantages: Maybe, only that if you lose your lives you have to start all over again.

...This is a great game on the nintendo gamecube, It was also played on the megadrive. The mega collection gives you access to the all the available games, check manuals, change and save various game settings. It allows you to view movies, illustrations and comics. This game comes in a case made from nintendo game cube, The actual case is black with a plastic covering round the outer part which holds the paper detail of the game. In bold lettering it states: SONIC in yellow with MEGA COLLECTION underneath in red letters. There is a large number 7 towards the right hand side on the front cover. Then at the side of that in slightly smaller lettering states GREAT HITS! + Extra Games + Bonus Features. There are photo pictures of Sonic, Knuckles and Tails which you see first, they catch you eyes quite well. On the back cover it shows... Read review

Sega's Sonic Sales Soar
Review of Sonic Adventure (DC) by PunkRockRulez2001

Advantages: Great Graphics, loads of fun, replayable, good storyline
Disadvantages: None!!!

...Sonic Adventure is the latest in the Sonic series and is undoubtedly the best. With all the features of the originals in a massive 3D world ths game is well worth buying. The graphics are unbelievable bettering those of the Playstation 2, the storyline is also brilliant, you complete the game several times with different characters, each time seeing the story from their point of view. This way more of the stroy is shown to you as you proceed through the game. There is also a secret character that can only be played when all other characters are completed. Replayability is also a good point of the game, with each level having 3 objectives, so you have to do the game 3 times over with it getting harder each time. There are also many mini-games including Chao Garden (Virtual Pet game), Whac 'em (like the hammer game in the arcade... Read review

Sonic The Movie Released & Reviewed DVD!!
Review of Sonic The Hedgehog - The Movie (Animated) by mcarocks2004

Advantages: See Below
Disadvantages: See Below

...and yellow pattern with Sonic as the main decoration. Next to him we have the main menu options of Play, Scene selection, Special features and ADV previews. Overall the menu is well laid out, making it exceptionally easy to use. Although it would have been nice to see a little more colour on the menu and maybe some music to make it a little more striking. But that’s the only real fault. Overall the menu is of standard quality – 8/10 Video: The animation style is typically Japanese due to the most noticeable design of the character Sonic. However unique this design appears to be, it does become very likeable after viewing the film for more than a few minutes. There are some very well drawn/crafted scenes which really show off the animator’s talents, for instance take the opening scene of the island (your know what I mean when you see). The only... Not the best Sonic game
Review of Sonic Advance 2 (GBA) by GavLuvsGA

Advantages: I hate to put graphics but thats really is the best part to this game
Disadvantages: Not up to its usual standard :-(

..., with a few cutscenes to explain what is going on. However, Sonic's behaviour is totally bizarre. After you rescue Tails, his reaction is to exchange a couple of words, then wave and run off; not surprisingly, Tails' feelings are sorely hurt - after all, they've shared many, many adventures together. At this point in the game, I became convinced that Eggman had actually brainwashed Sonic or something - surely Sonic would have asked Tails for help, or something. You cannot view these scenes more than once unless you erase all game data (and I doubt many people would actually want to do that). Music - 5/10 Some of the music is actually very good - notably that heard on the fourth Level, Ice Paradise. However, much of the music on the later levels seems rather bland and unremarkable. Graphics - 8/10 The graphics are actually quite nice... Read review
