...From Oasis's ?Definitely Maybe? to ?Word gets Around? by the stereophonics and Wet Wet Wet's ?Popped In Souled OutI? have always liked band's debut albums. I find them raw , enthusiastic and aspirational but at the same time down to earth and easy to relate to. To add to my list is ?Hats off to the Buskers the Mercury nominated debut by by Dundonian quartet the View. The View are a young indie band who hail from the Dundee district of Dryburgh. There music is rooted in their background with lead singer Kyle Falconer's vocals proudly displaying the Dundonian burr, which is a pleasure to listen to. Queens View, Elie - A Holiday Home that's a Real Home from Home

Advantages: Very homely, well equipped, excellent location, fab window seat, sea view
Disadvantages: Expensive in the summer - but so is everywhere in Elie. Not suitable for the infirm.

...Queens View is situated at 31 High Street, Elie in the Neuk of Fife in Scotland. It is a very comfortable and well appointed two bedroom second-floor, self catering flat. We stayed there for four nights during October 2009. We found it to be more than holiday accommodation ? it feels more like a home from home. The entrance and stairwell are carpeted and appear exceptionally well maintained and clean with artificial flowers and some real plants. There is a security entrance system and lights which automatically switch off after three minutes. Queens View itself consists of a twin bedroom, a double bedroom, a shower room, a dining kitchen and a living room. Advantages: Gripping and true to life

...I must admit that reading is not a frequent pass time of mine so when I do find a book that I don't want to put down I have very high regard of the book and its author. The reason I started reading the book is I basically wanted something to read before I went off to the land of nod as I find reading at night generally helps me get off to sleep. Finding this around the house was great and actually kept me up reading on many an occasion. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ About the author ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Arthur Miller is an award winning social playwright; his plays are acts of protest. At the time of this book immigration was a very taboo subject and immigrants were looked down on by society, you could argue not much has changed... my favourate view The Island Newquay

Advantages: Stunning location
Disadvantages: Hilly area if you have walking disabilities

...might be just what we needed to help get over the trauma of the last few months so decided to go to Newquay in Cornwall for a week. We travelled with National buses on a package trip and although the journey was extremely long (10 hours) when we eventually got to our destination and got off the bus I looked to the view across the road from our hotel and I was amazed. It was absolutely beautiful with a panoramic view of the beach below, the very high cliffs surrounding it and curving right around to show other beaches in the area as well . And there were loads of surfers! Having lived in Australia for a few years when I was a child I felt immediately at home there and in a lot of ways Newquay reminded me of Oz with it's laid back atmosphere the glorious weather we had whilst we were there and the diversity of nationalities we came across...

Advantages: Great last Bond film for Roger
Disadvantages: Not rated as Roger Moore's best Bond

...As A View to a kill was the first Bond film I ever saw in the cinema and I have very good memories of it, I thought I should review this one. This was made in 1985 and was Roger Moores last outing as James Bond, he did not really want to do this one as he thought that he was too old at this stage to play the part. The storyline was actually set up for the new Bond Timothy Dalton but there was a last minute hitch and the film Dalton was currently working on had been put on hold and unfortunately for him he could not get out of it to start his first Bond film. The producers had no option to persuade Roger to do his last one in the role. This had a very good cast setting With Roger in the title role, Christopher Walken playing the main villain Max Zorin, Grace Jones as his sidekick Mayday, Tanya Roberts playing Bonds love interest...

Rituparno Ghosh's Antarmahal stars Jackie Shroff, Abhishek Bachchan, Soha Ali Khan and Rupa Ganguly in the leading roles. ...Having never been to Corfu before me and 7 other friends took the plunge and decided to book a last minute holiday in Kavos with Thomas Cook. We selected the Ionian Sea View Hotel which is located in Aspro Kavos, about 15 minutes walk from the town centre. The hotel itself was basic but very clean. The rooms came with bathroom (shower, bath, toilet, sink), beds, dressing table, small kitchen, fridge and balcony. The kitchen was hidden away in a cupboard like thing, it had 2 hobs and a sink. Quilts were provided for the bed but we never needed them as it was so hot. Air Conditioning is also available to hire but we didn't bother. The hotel also had 2 pool tables and a table tennis table (which had seen better days) but never the less provided some entertainment whilst we waited to go out. The pool was smallish but very clean...

...A View From The Bridge, An Arthur Miller Play. This play revolves around the role of family, immgration, love, justice and law, morality, honour, the American dream culture and being caught within two cultures. You can look at this from an ancient perspective and a modern perspective. The ongoing role of a narrator provides a moral explanation. Miller seems to feel that the water front was the wild west a desert beyond the law with people who were poorly paid. The historical and social setting is a mostly occupied Italian backdrop. I studied this play at GCSE level and was amazed by the quality at which Miller catches the dramatic importance.
