1000 Tattoos

...I became obsessed with tattoos at a very young age; I would look for tattoos on people and often ask them what their tattoos meant and why they got them. Predictably at about 14 years old I started to want a tattoo. I pestered my Mum for two years solid and when I was 16 she thought she'd call my bluff. She marched me into a tattooist and told me to pick a tattoo and get it done there and then. She thought I would wimp out but I didn't and I still love the tattoo I got that day. I guess some people are just meant to get ink. Anyway, I digress the point in hand is the fabulous book, "1000 Tattoos". Advantages: Fast, Sleek, beautiful colour
Disadvantages: Pricey

...DVD's on. It is widescreen so widescreen DVD's go perfect with it. The design of this monitor is lovely. It doesn't look or feel cheaply built. That is probably reflected in the price a bit I suppose. This monitor supports DVI and analog inputs. I use DVI and it works fine. Have not tested analog but probably works just as good. It has one power input in the back with the cable included. The input cables are also included. It comes with a multi-language instruction manual which is super easy to understand (providing you are reading the right language). Viewsonic offers good online support I find and the website is easy for me to navigate to find. I purchased this monitor for around 200£ I believe from www.ebuyer.com. Dell Vostro 1000

Advantages: Cheap and well spec'd
Disadvantages: No disadvantages when priced at £352

...of Dell laptops always seem to be getting better. I made the decision to buy. The snag I found was this Dell Vostro 1000 was a range that is only available to business customers. This wasn't really a major problem, as I could just buy it as a business. Purchasing as a business has a drawback, but it also has a pro point. The drawback to buying as a business is that the distance selling regulations only apply to consumers, so you cannot send it back within 7 days if you change your mind. The pro point is that the laptops tend to have less rubbish installed on them, than their equivalent consumer models. Viewsonic VA915 monitor

Advantages: Great contrast, excellent picture, anti-glare
Disadvantages: Can lose conection about 3 times a year

...monitor to a 19-inch VA915 LCD display. I know Viewsonic are a decent company as I have had some products from them before and haven't had any problems with them. Therefore before I even got my hands on the monitor I had faith that my Viewsonic VA915 monitor would last me a while, as long as it was good overall. Well when I first got the box with the monitor in I must comment on the fact it was well packaged wrapped up so it looked like it was very durable no matter how rough the postal service may be with it. When getting the monitor it came with the monitor itself obviously, it had all the necessary wires that are needed to connect to a CPU, installation CD and instruction booklet. The instruction booklet came in a lot of languages, even some I didn't have a clue what they were which shows to me that Viewsonic are confident about...

ViewSonic VX922 Xtreme Gaming

Advantages: Quality 19" Monitor which is Bright, Sharp with Colourful images, 2ms Response Time
Disadvantages: A bit more expenisve than your average monitor, but worth it!

...Took me a while to decide to take the plunge from my beloved 17" Dell CRT, Which through the 3 years, besides its huge rear-end never warranted a reason to be replaced. But me being a gadget freak and my friends wondering why I still used a CRT decided now is the time. I again before buying anything researched thoroughly on the internet to be sure I'm spending my money wisely and compared to my friends had the best TFT available within a reasonable price bracket. TFT's have come along way since I last remembered and are competing with CRTs with performance and cost. I first found the ViewSonic vx924 (not the vx922 which this model is) and was blown away when I saw it in the show room, looked a remarkable product of great quality and performance, even the guy at the showroom said he owned this model and its never let him down...

The Geeks back...... 19" TFT by Viewsonic VX922

Advantages: Screen Size, Features, Design / Finish, Quality, 2ms for Gaming !!
Disadvantages: None found so far

...going to have to pay for it. It was looking like it was going to cost me the best part of £300. This was actually a little over the budget that I had set for a new screen. I found a couple of 'decent' screens, which were in budget but they were either 15" or 17". I really wanted a 19" screen. I then came across the Viewsonic VX922 - quite by co-incidence after receiving an eMail from an online store that I use quite a lot for components etc, and my luck was in, they were having a sale on TFT screens. After reading a couple of reviews on the screen, I decided to give it a blast. I phoned, and ordered the screen, and was actually told that I was lucky, they had just that day received in a new shipment, and they were selling fast. Apparently their last shipment lasted 3 days, they sold nearly 1000 of them !!!! I waited...

The Dell Vostro 1000

Advantages: price, durability, look, speed, memory
Disadvantages: N/A

...I bought the Dell Vostro 1000 for starting a Degree last september. The Vostro 1000 is marketed at businesses and as such is installed with Windows Vista Business. The laptop came with 2GB of RAM which is ample to run vista comfortably. The fact that the laptop is marketed for businesses has made no difference to me. In fact it has probably helped me with my degreee as it doesn't come with all the extra unnecessary rubbish that others do (e.g. solitaire, hearts etc)! The Vostro has been able to handle everything I have thrown at it; every game I have installed, the microsoft ultimate 2007 package, etc. The Dell Vostro 1000 is amazing quality for money and I would thoroughly recommend it, expecially for anyone on a limited budget. The battery once charged does not last for ages but it is not too bad at all; as with most laptops...

Want 1000 Kisses?

Advantages: Stays put for ages as the advertising claims
Disadvantages: Can dry your lips out

...Did my title get your attention? Did you realise this review was about lipstick and not me giving away kisses? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rimmel very bravely named this lipstick "1000 Kisses" and I wonder how many people have actually bought this product and then proceeded to kiss people 1000 times to see if it actually stands up to this particular test? Maybe not many people then! I certainly didn't test mine that way. I simply bought it for 2 reasons - I like lipsticks that supposedly stay put on your lips rather than on drink glasses, cigarettes, etc and because I liked the particular shade that I chose - Scarlet (205). The only kiss test I did with this lippie was to kiss the back of my hand a dozen or so times (yes I do love myself!) and I was pleased to see that the lipstick didn't leave any signs of me...
