Viewsonic VA915 monitor

Advantages: Great contrast, excellent picture, anti-glare
Disadvantages: Can lose conection about 3 times a year

...monitor to a 19-inch VA915 LCD display. I know Viewsonic are a decent company as I have had some products from them before and haven't had any problems with them. Therefore before I even got my hands on the monitor I had faith that my Viewsonic VA915 monitor would last me a while, as long as it was good overall. Well when I first got the box with the monitor in I must comment on the fact it was well packaged wrapped up so it looked like it was very durable no matter how rough the postal service may be with it. When getting the monitor it came with the monitor itself obviously, it had all the necessary wires that are needed to connect to a CPU, installation CD and instruction booklet. The instruction booklet came in a lot of languages, even some I didn't have a clue what they were which shows to me that Viewsonic are confident about...

A very cheap monitor which doesn't comprise in too many areas

Advantages: Excellent price, very decent picture, good build quality, 3 year warranty, excellent price
Disadvantages: Lack of inputs (VGA only), ghosting noticable (although not terrible)

...I knew from the outset that i would be one of those paranoid mum's constantly worrying about my baby & wondering if he was still breathing through the night, so I invested in the Angelcare monitor with movement sensor mat. The set includes a 'baby unit', 'parent unit' & movement sensor mat. The mat is placed under baby's mattress (if like mine, the base of the cot is slatted, or you're using it in such a moses basket, then you will need to place the mat on a firm surface such as a piece of plywood under the mattress), & is so sensitive that it can detect even the lightest of breathing. ViewSonic VX922 Xtreme Gaming

Advantages: Quality 19" Monitor which is Bright, Sharp with Colourful images, 2ms Response Time
Disadvantages: A bit more expenisve than your average monitor, but worth it!

.... The only major difference I could find with the Vx924 is 3-4ms (each site changes there mind), which the vx922 is 2ms and considerably newer. Researching Online, looking at many sites like my good old favourite Toms Hardware, this was very highly recommended behind another ViewSonic monitor which I could no longer find on sale. After reading countless reviews, I put my money where my mouth is and bought the monitor from Novatech which is local to me and cost me around £285 no p+p needed. So far after having this product for 3 weeks It has been a great purchase, with the games I have tested such as Half Life 2, Age Of Empires 3, Doom 3, Unreal Tournament, Final Fantasy XI It has performed just as good as a standard CRT. Advantages: Fast, Sleek, beautiful colour
Disadvantages: Pricey

...DVD's on. It is widescreen so widescreen DVD's go perfect with it. The design of this monitor is lovely. It doesn't look or feel cheaply built. That is probably reflected in the price a bit I suppose. This monitor supports DVI and analog inputs. I use DVI and it works fine. Have not tested analog but probably works just as good. It has one power input in the back with the cable included. The input cables are also included. It comes with a multi-language instruction manual which is super easy to understand (providing you are reading the right language). Viewsonic offers good online support I find and the website is easy for me to navigate to find. I purchased this monitor for around 200£ I believe from www.ebuyer.com. Advantages: Screen Size, Features, Design / Finish, Quality, 2ms for Gaming !!

...going to have to pay for it. It was looking like it was going to cost me the best part of £300. This was actually a little over the budget that I had set for a new screen. I found a couple of 'decent' screens, which were in budget but they were either 15" or 17". I really wanted a 19" screen. I then came across the Viewsonic VX922 - quite by co-incidence after receiving an eMail from an online store that I use quite a lot for components etc, and my luck was in, they were having a sale on TFT screens. After reading a couple of reviews on the screen, I decided to give it a blast. I phoned, and ordered the screen, and was actually told that I was lucky, they had just that day received in a new shipment, and they were selling fast. Viewsonic VA702

Advantages: Cheap to buy, Small foot print, looks more expensive than it is
Disadvantages: can get blurred during fast video.

...I was looking for a new cheap monitor to use a second monitor with my laptop, after searching several sites i came across the 17" Viewsonic VA702, for the money it seemed like a good buy so i took the risk and ordered one. I picked this monitor up for £116 from www.savastore.com Initial impressions were good on opening the box and removing the monitor. Its looks are comparable with much more expensive monitors and it looks well put together. Also included was a monitor cable and power cable. The color and viewing angle are much better than i had expected for the price i paid, and it takes up little space on the desk. The only disadvantages i could see where lack of DVI support, although this wasn't an issue for me as i didn't need it. Also the monitor can also blur a bit during fast movie scenes but this is to be expected...

...The Viewsonic VP930 monitor is, according to Viewsonic, one of their higher end LCD monitors as it is in their "Pro Series". Well I have little reason to argue, although it isn't perfect. The overall look of it before you turn it on is very nice, with narrow silver coloured borders and a black, sturdy stand. The monitor can be adjusted up and down easily without having to turn any knobs. You just put a little pressure downwards or upwards, and it will easily move, then stay in the place you leave it. It sounds a bit "cheap" but it's actually a very nice movement, and makes it handy so you can adjust it without reaching behind to turn something. It's also very easy to turn left or right, again with no knobs to have to turn. Another feature it has, which personally I don't see any need for, is the ability to twist the whole display 90...

Good cheap baby monitors (Tomy Walkabout Classic Advance Monitor)

Advantages: 100% portable, mains or battery powered, good solid units
Disadvantages: Can eat through batteries

...Recently the video baby monitors that I had been given (second hand) gave up the ghost so I had to purchase a new set. I decided that I didn't need a video one again or one with any other fancy gimmick on it (one that plays a melody etc), I wanted a nice basic and reasonable cheap monitor just so I could hear when she wakes up in a morning etc. After looking online at the hundreds of monitors available (most of which are very expensive) I found the Tomy Walkabout Classic Advance and after reading a couple of reviews I decided that this one should do the job just fine. Whats in the Box? In the box you get a set of instructions whish tell you how to get started and how to use all of the various features these monitors have, you also get two baby monitor unit, one is the baby unit and one is the Parent Unit and you get two mains adaptors...

...If you're looking for a cheap - yet high quality HD TV, then look no further than the Viewsonic N2060w. It comes at a price of around, £300-£350 (depends where you buy it from), comes with one scart slot, a HD component cable input, HDMI and a PC station socket (can be used as a PC screen). The sound on the TV is quite amazing, it doesn't need to be on a high volume for it to be heard clearly. The on screen menu is fairly easy to navigate, up and down to move up and down, and ok to select the option you want - quite simple. The quality of the tv is very good for the price, it even challenges the quality of tv's in the £500 price bracket. The only drawback for me is the lack of remote codes for the tv (sky, telewest etc.), and the lack of scart slots....
