ViewSonic VX922 Xtreme Gaming

Advantages: Quality 19" Monitor which is Bright, Sharp with Colourful images, 2ms Response Time
Disadvantages: A bit more expenisve than your average monitor, but worth it!

...Took me a while to decide to take the plunge from my beloved 17" Dell CRT, Which through the 3 years, besides its huge rear-end never warranted a reason to be replaced. But me being a gadget freak and my friends wondering why I still used a CRT decided now is the time. I again before buying anything researched thoroughly on the internet to be sure I'm spending my money wisely and compared to my friends had the best TFT available within a reasonable price bracket. TFT's have come along way since I last remembered and are competing with CRTs with performance and cost. I first found the ViewSonic vx924 (not the vx922 which this model is) and was blown away when I saw it in the show room, looked a remarkable product of great quality and performance, even the guy at the showroom said he owned this model and its never let him down...

Viewsonic VA915 monitor

Advantages: Great contrast, excellent picture, anti-glare
Disadvantages: Can lose conection about 3 times a year

...monitor to a 19-inch VA915 LCD display. I know Viewsonic are a decent company as I have had some products from them before and haven't had any problems with them. Therefore before I even got my hands on the monitor I had faith that my Viewsonic VA915 monitor would last me a while, as long as it was good overall. Well when I first got the box with the monitor in I must comment on the fact it was well packaged wrapped up so it looked like it was very durable no matter how rough the postal service may be with it. When getting the monitor it came with the monitor itself obviously, it had all the necessary wires that are needed to connect to a CPU, installation CD and instruction booklet. The instruction booklet came in a lot of languages, even some I didn't have a clue what they were which shows to me that Viewsonic are confident about...

The Geeks back...... 19" TFT by Viewsonic VX922

Advantages: Screen Size, Features, Design / Finish, Quality, 2ms for Gaming !!
Disadvantages: None found so far

...going to have to pay for it. It was looking like it was going to cost me the best part of £300. This was actually a little over the budget that I had set for a new screen. I found a couple of 'decent' screens, which were in budget but they were either 15" or 17". I really wanted a 19" screen. I then came across the Viewsonic VX922 - quite by co-incidence after receiving an eMail from an online store that I use quite a lot for components etc, and my luck was in, they were having a sale on TFT screens. After reading a couple of reviews on the screen, I decided to give it a blast. I phoned, and ordered the screen, and was actually told that I was lucky, they had just that day received in a new shipment, and they were selling fast. Apparently their last shipment lasted 3 days, they sold nearly 1000 of them !!!! I waited...

Viewsonic N2060w

Advantages: Cheap, High Quality, Easy to Set Up
Disadvantages: Lack of Remote Codes & Scart Sockets

...If you're looking for a cheap - yet high quality HD TV, then look no further than the Viewsonic N2060w. It comes at a price of around, £300-£350 (depends where you buy it from), comes with one scart slot, a HD component cable input, HDMI and a PC station socket (can be used as a PC screen). The sound on the TV is quite amazing, it doesn't need to be on a high volume for it to be heard clearly. The on screen menu is fairly easy to navigate, up and down to move up and down, and ok to select the option you want - quite simple. The quality of the tv is very good for the price, it even challenges the quality of tv's in the £500 price bracket. The only drawback for me is the lack of remote codes for the tv (sky, telewest etc.), and the lack of scart slots....

ViewSonic VX1935wm

Advantages: Fast, Sleek, beautiful colour
Disadvantages: Pricey

...DVD's on. It is widescreen so widescreen DVD's go perfect with it. The design of this monitor is lovely. It doesn't look or feel cheaply built. That is probably reflected in the price a bit I suppose. This monitor supports DVI and analog inputs. I use DVI and it works fine. Have not tested analog but probably works just as good. It has one power input in the back with the cable included. The input cables are also included. It comes with a multi-language instruction manual which is super easy to understand (providing you are reading the right language). Viewsonic offers good online support I find and the website is easy for me to navigate to find. I purchased this monitor for around 200£ I believe from www.ebuyer.com. Viewsonic VA702

Advantages: Cheap to buy, Small foot print, looks more expensive than it is
Disadvantages: can get blurred during fast video.

...I was looking for a new cheap monitor to use a second monitor with my laptop, after searching several sites i came across the 17" Viewsonic VA702, for the money it seemed like a good buy so i took the risk and ordered one. I picked this monitor up for £116 from www.savastore.com Initial impressions were good on opening the box and removing the monitor. Its looks are comparable with much more expensive monitors and it looks well put together. Also included was a monitor cable and power cable. The color and viewing angle are much better than i had expected for the price i paid, and it takes up little space on the desk. The only disadvantages i could see where lack of DVI support, although this wasn't an issue for me as i didn't need it. Also the monitor can also blur a bit during fast movie scenes but this is to be expected...

Price drops make the Viewsonic VG150 a compelling value

Advantages: Very light and brightest in its class. Replaces a 17" regular monitor.
Disadvantages: Hard to thread cords in the back of monitor. Not suitable for high-action games

...Recent price drops (and manufacturer rebates) make flat panel LCD monitors compelling. The Viewsonic now VG150 costs about $450 (I bought mine for $399 after rebate) and works very well. WOW is the word I use to describe it. It's important to note that a 15" LCD monitor replaces a 17" regular monitor. The LCD monitor uses the entire screen without the black frame that regular monitors have. Here's how the VG150/VG150b stacks up to standard Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) monitors and its competitors (e.g. Samsung): Size and Weight At 11 lbs, it's lighter than any regular CRT monitor. It compares very well with many other flat panel displays on the market. So weight was a big factor in my switching to a flat panel display. The Viewsonic V35

Advantages: Cheap, powerful, can be upgraded to windows mobile 2003
Disadvantages: Low memory, not a large amount of accessories available

...I purchased my Viewsonic V35 pda because i was looking for a fairly powerful pda to run games, internet applications and act as a media player, also i didnt have a large budget so the v35 was perfect. In the box was the pda, the manual, a cradle to connect to your pc, and a usb cable to connect to your pc, also a small pouch to protect the pda from damage. When i saw there was no ac adapter i was fairly worried, but soon realised that the pda would charge from the usb cable, but not the cradle which i found odd. My first few months of use with the V35 were vey satisfactory, applications installed easily and ran very well, although because of the 32mb of memory which cannot be upgraded, i had to use an sd card to store my applications, which further ate away ate my budget. After about 2 months of use of th v35 a small grey area...
