Viewsonic VA915 monitor

Advantages: Great contrast, excellent picture, anti-glare

...monitor to a 19-inch VA915 LCD display. I know Viewsonic are a decent company as I have had some products from them before and haven't had any problems with them. Therefore before I even got my hands on the monitor I had faith that my Viewsonic VA915 monitor would last me a while, as long as it was good overall. Well when I first got the box with the monitor in I must comment on the fact it was well packaged wrapped up so it looked like it was very durable no matter how rough the postal service may be with it. When getting the monitor it came with the monitor itself obviously, it had all the necessary wires that are needed to connect to a CPU, installation CD and instruction booklet. The instruction booklet came in a lot of languages, even some I didn't have a clue what they were which shows to me that Viewsonic are confident about...

...This is my review for the View Sonic VA703b. I have been using this monitor now for close to 2 years and I have no problems with it. Instead of just being compatible with VGA it also works with the new(ish) DVI at the same time. It is an alright 17". This is OK if you want it for office work but if you want it for games, videos and pictures it is good but you would be better off with a 19" or bigger. I do play games on it and it still works quite well. What is more important to games is the reaction time. It has really good reaction time and this is the reason why I got it. At a very low 8ms (mili seconds) it just gives a clear image every time. I delighted to find out that it is compatible with vista. Advantages: Cheap to buy, Small foot print, looks more expensive than it is

...I was looking for a new cheap monitor to use a second monitor with my laptop, after searching several sites i came across the 17" Viewsonic VA702, for the money it seemed like a good buy so i took the risk and ordered one. I picked this monitor up for £116 from www.savastore.com Initial impressions were good on opening the box and removing the monitor. Its looks are comparable with much more expensive monitors and it looks well put together. Also included was a monitor cable and power cable. The color and viewing angle are much better than i had expected for the price i paid, and it takes up little space on the desk. The only disadvantages i could see where lack of DVI support, although this wasn't an issue for me as i didn't need it. Also the monitor can also blur a bit during fast movie scenes but this is to be expected...

A very cheap monitor which doesn't comprise in too many areas

Advantages: Excellent price, very decent picture, good build quality, 3 year warranty, excellent price
Disadvantages: Lack of inputs (VGA only), ghosting noticable (although not terrible)

...(depending on the 'type' between 3 and 8 usually), so if you really don't want a dead pixel buy a higher end monitor with a more extensive warranty. Overall, the Viewsonic VA2213w is, basically, a bargain. It performs excellently in both everyday use and for gaming, has a huge 21.5" viewable area, and costs only just over £100 delivered (at the time of writing). Don't, however, expect the ultimate monitor - for the price some comprimises have to be made....

...The Viewsonic VA1912W to look at is a great monitor the screen is clear and bright and at 1440*900 it is large enough for most peoples needs. Being a widescreen monitor some games dont support the 1440*900 resolution but the majority do half life 2 does for example. The 8ms response time means you will see no lagging in games or when watching dvds. ...Took me a while to decide to take the plunge from my beloved 17" Dell CRT, Which through the 3 years, besides its huge rear-end never warranted a reason to be replaced. But me being a gadget freak and my friends wondering why I still used a CRT decided now is the time. I again before buying anything researched thoroughly on the internet to be sure I'm spending my money wisely and compared to my friends had the best TFT available within a reasonable price bracket. TFT's have come along way since I last remembered and are competing with CRTs with performance and cost. I first found the ViewSonic vx924 (not the vx922 which this model is) and was blown away when I saw it in the show room, looked a remarkable product of great quality and performance, even the guy at the showroom said he owned this model and its never let him down...
