At the heart of Shakespeare country sits the pretty and quintessentially English Macdonald Alveston Manor. A timber-framed Tudor building, rumour has it that the very first production of a Midsummer Nights Dream was performed in its groomed grounds. With the Cotswolds villages as neighbours and a five-minute walk from all the cultural attractions in Stratford-upon-Avon, the manor is perfect for Shakespeare enthusiasts or those looking for a little English charm.Wisteria and ivy climb the trellis facade, framing the mullioned windows that hang with heavy, tapestry-like drapes. Inside youll find intricately carved oak panels matched with leafy-print carpets and carefully selected antiques. An old fashioned design, some might say, but utterly quaint and in keeping with the history of this beautiful building.Being blessed with original 16th Century features is not its only card to play as the hotel boasts a leisureclub and spa for your health and wellbeing. With the award-winning Manor Restaurant to match, you are en route to a very pleasant stay indeed. The only thing you need now is a cream tea at the Manor bar and the perfect English stay is set. Please see the offer details below for more information on what's included.

£149.00 for two nights in a standard double room with dinner on the first night, breakfast both mornings and full use of the leisure facilities. Although it was more than we really wanted to pay, we went ahead and booked it direct with the hotel as we couldn?t guarantee finding anything else...
