A peaceful village in a lovely city
Advantages: Great spa treatments, comfortable bed, reasonable rates
Disadvantages: Strange staff, weird layout and poor signage
...much more focussed on the spa side of things, so you can have lunch in the spa in your robe and no-one will look twice. The Village hotel I found to be a bit less luxurious, and the spa is more of an add-on than a destination in itself.
The location of the hotel is pretty handy, located on Otley Road, one of the main roads out of Leeds to the North, near the student area of Headingley. It?s well...

YMCA or VILLAGE HOTEL?
Advantages: A comfortable well equipped hotel in Warrington
Disadvantages: Mainly suited to the business traveller
...We had to arrange an overnight stay with breakfast, close to Walton Lea crematorium in Cheshire, for 7th August 2006 as we wanted to be present at a family funeral service the next morning.
A quick search on the internet showed me that The De Vere Village Hotel and Leisure Centre was only five miles from the village of Walton and the crematorium.
