Vintage VRS100 - Blue

Advantages: The Wilkinson hardware. The playability. Good value.
Disadvantages: The blue finish hides the flamed maple veneer. Tone+Volume knobs. Serial number format.

...Vintage VRS100 Well first off I paid £150 for this. Ex-demo, so not new, not second hand, think in-between the two. This is a PRS copy and Vintage have pretty much nailed the body shape! It's a Double-cut. Vintage says the VRS means "Vintage Rock Series". The finish I chose for this guitar was the "through blue". A very dark blue finish on the front with a lighter greeny-blue on the back and neck. This finish is semi transparent (you can see the wood). Through blue is now a discontinued colour. For the body 3 pieces of Eastern poplar have been used. A bookmatched flamed maple veneer is glued on top. The top of the guitar is carved while the back is contoured for comfort. The neck is nice and chunky set neck and is made up of 2 pieces of maple with a 1 piece rosewood fingerboard. Upon the fretboard are 24 medium frets...

Don't eat the vintage buttons!!

The button?s come in a pink box with a lovely pattern design on the box. On the flap to the side of the box it tells you that they researched old buttons from the 1700s, 1800s and early 1900s and became so absorbed that they decided to do their own collection. You get a total of 18 antique buttons in a box which are cast in 70% cocoa dark chocolate. The box is 100g and it cost?s £6.00. On the back of the box you will find a list of ingredients and their contact details as well as a picture of the buttons which you get inside the box as well. ...Vintage Jazz Volume 4 is another of my all-time favourite jazz CDs, as it does exactly what it sys on the label, it IE.. it contain some really fine examples of some of the best classic jazz. Coleman Hawkins as his All Star Jam Band, featuring every example of the best jazz instruments, guitar, drums, clarinet, all performing together as one on Honeysuckle Rose. And please note the use of the word "jam" in the name of the band. As they say, there really is nothing new under the sun! The next track is also by Coleman Hawkins and His All Star Jam Band, but is a totally different style of jazz as they give a rip-roaring, jumping version of Sweet Georgia Brown. Advantages: Good rhythms to do the housework to, some excellent songs
Disadvantages: Some songs will appeal to some and not to others.

...Housework Songs is a double CD compilation album. The idea is that these songs are all suitable to listen to whilst doing the housework so easing the load and making the dutiful chores a little more enjoyable. On the front cover is a picture of a woman (rather sexist, men do the housework too! At least they do in my house!) singing into her vacuum cleaner. There are 41 songs on the album and there is a good mixture with something for everyone. We have songs from the 1960s including "Pretty Woman", and "Respect", in the 1970s we have "You Sexy Thing" and "American Pie", the 1980s gives us "Fame" and "I Think We're Alone Now", the 1990s gives us "Over My Shoulder"and "Moving on Up" then from the 2000s we have "Spinning Around" and "The Closest Thing To Crazy." Advantages: Good music which shows Stevie Wonder?s different styles.

My favourite songs

Advantages: In my opinion they are all terrific songs
Disadvantages: Of course people are going to have different music tastes & some won't like them

...There's so many songs that I love & remind me of things but I'll try my best to name 10 of my favourites. 1) Aaliyah - I Miss You I've always loved this song ever since it was released just after Aaliyah's tragic death in 2001. I loved all her songs & still listen to them on a regular basis. She really set the standard for artists like Beyonce & Rihanna to follow. I also love the video for this too, it's a great tribute to her. 2) 2pac - Dear Mama I don't know what it is about this song but it really speaks to me, I think 2pac wrote great lyrics & is a real testimony in that they are still releasing his material which I think is great.
