...After being with virgin mobile since it first was set up in 1999 and still at this present day, I have had no problems with them at all. I first started with the Philips Savvy and then moved on to a Nokia 3310 cause I dropped water on the damn thing, but other than that I have had no problem with the operator itself. Costs: I have found the prices very reasonable: 10p texts to other networks and just 3p to other virgin mobiles 15p per minute for the first five minutes of calls each day and 5p after that Although this is a bit of a pain if your friends are not with Virgin you can now also buy a range of different bundles including texts, minutes and picture texts which significantly bring down the cost of each message if your friends are with other networks - for instance texts are just 2.4p each if you buy their largest bundle which is 1500 texts for £36. Virgin Mobile, excellent in all ways

Advantages: Easy access, good signal, good deals
Disadvantages: Not a huge range of phones compared to some network providers

...I've been a customer of Vodafone, 3 Mobile and Virgin Mobile and I have to say that Virgin is the best network company I have been with. Since joining Virgin I have not even thought about moving to a different network and can honestly say that unless there are some drastic changes I won't be anytime soon. Everything from the rates to the customer service have been excellent. When I first bought my phone from Virgin, I was offered a choice of 3 rewards which I think is much better than most networks where you are stuck with whatever they choose to give you. Possibly one of the most practical things about Virgin mobile is that I have yet to find an area in the country where I can't easily find signal to make a call or send a text message. ...I have had a Motorola v220 for almost 5 years now. This is not because I particularly liked Virgin Mobile Pay as you go, its just that I didnt really use it until recently. Purchasing the phone was rediculously easy, so much so I cannot remember getting it, so it was clearly no problem at all (I hold grudges). Also I know that at the time I paid a measly £5 and it was a pretty good phone back then. However in the last few months my Pay as you go tarriff has turned into a money drain for me and i've had to stop topping it up as £5 on a virgin mobile standard tariff gives me the tiny number of 41.6 texts before i'm once again out of money. ...I was an early adopter of Virgin Mobile, buying the Philips Savvy phone over 2 years ago. The billing charges were simple. 15p a minute for the first 5 minutes, 5p a minute thereafter. 0800, and 0500 numbers were free to call (Virgin was the only network to offer this). Since then, the basic structure of the service has not changed. You can still not choose to pay line rental. 0800 and 0500 calls are now charged at the local rate. Pay as you Go is the only package that they offer (you can choose to be billed via credit card, but there is no line rental, all you pay for is the calls) If you do, indeed choose the credit card option you can use your phone in most countries around the world (apart from countries that need a tri-band phone, i.e USA) Virgin was, and still is the best Pay as you Go network for me and many other people.
