IIyama vision master pro 1413 17"
Advantages: Price, quality, reliability
Disadvantages: Not for advanced and demanding users
...1
IIyama is definitely one of most recognized and respected both CRT and LCD manufacturer,( for Windows and Macintosh)
and that places it above other producers on market because of it's expirience,
and japanese origin. Sometimes people say that company that is focused on one specific item makes better
stuff and if it comes about IIyama i can fully agree.
External look
IIyama vision master pro 1413 17" is simple monitor without addons like speakers or tv tuner and is
available in cream (white) color ( some other models comes in black or silver ).
Unusual design creates a picture of massive and solid construction and reminds me an oval cut in half.
Monitor is put together very well, all joints fits perfectly. Even being a low budget product still
looks as new; plastics used to assebble are rather good quality and have...

Iiyama Vision Master Pro 513
Advantages: Huge picture
Disadvantages: Huge footprint
...behind it. Then I was able to slide it back further and it became a bit more viable.
So, to sum up: this is a great monitor but it goes back quite a way. If you have the room then the Iiyama Vision Master Pro 513 could be a good choice. If space is a priority then LCDs are improving all the time....

Iiyama Vision Master Pro 451
Advantages: Best resolutions. Best refresh rates. Stylish. Light weight. Long lasting. Big 19" display, small case
Disadvantages: Expensive. Trinitron (2 dark lines 1/3 & 2/3 down screen). No installation disk (Files on Internet). Blurry at far corners at highest resolutions
...I have been upgrading my pc ever since I bought my first one. I can actually say that I have enough spare parts to build another seperate pc. Never for one moment did I think that it was about time that I improved my interacting experience with my computer. But recently I decided that since I spend such a long time on my pc per day I should get something to reduce eye strain and fatigue.
I decided I wanted a monitor, not just any monitor because I new that monitors are THE most expensive part of a pc. I wanted to make sure I could get a monitor I new I could trust. I read endless reviews and found out that the company Iiyama was recently rated 3rd best monitor manufacturer. But that was overall, as far as quality goes I had read the specs of the monitor Vision Master Pro 451 and was SERIOUSLY impressed.
The Vision Master Pro...

The Vision Master Pro
Advantages: Two VGA inputs, Built in 4-Port Hub, Built in speakers
Disadvantages: Average picture quality, Speakers are nothing special
...The vision master pro, a nice 19" screen (18" viewable) with a few bells and whistles.
Before I talk about the screen, I'll talk about all the bits and bobs that you get with this monitor - that you wouldn't normally.
First of all, there's two VGA inputs. This allows you to use this monitor with two computers, at the same time, you then switch between inputs - chosing what input is actually displayed on the screen. While it is possible to buy seperate devices to do this, it's nice to have this feature already there, for you to use without any extra wires or desk space taken up.
On the subject of desk space, there's a 4-port hub built into the base of the screen, allowing you to plug four devices into the base of the monitor. This is ideal for devices that need to be plugged and un-plugged on the fly, such as MP3 players, digital...

Vision Master Pro 410 - Worth every penny
Advantages: Image quality, Resolution
Disadvantages: Heavy, price. Can faintly see damper wires
...With LCD monitors increasingly taking over the market the price of this monitor is sure to be falling. So if desk space is not a premium for you and you are looking for a 17" monitor then this should be definately considered.
The image quality is by far the best i have seen for any monitor and it will handle high resolutions at good refresh rates. The screen is also anti-reflective which i have found very useful especially if your monitor may be in direct sunlight or bright office lighting. It is a monitor that is very easy on the eyes to use. It has all the necessary functions on a good on-screen display. Drivers are as easy to install as any other and Iiyama regularly provides updates. The screen is also flat which is better for playing games and improves the viewing angle.
The only problems i've found with this monitor are...

Vision On
Advantages: Flat, sharp, friendly on the eyes, easy setup and menus
Disadvantages: Bit heavy - not the Armani of monitor designs
...My boss recommended this monitor for my new system (I say new - it is a year old now!). I work in IT and I am also studying for a degree - so in my books I needed a monitor that was flicker free, sharper than Blackadder's wit and pleasant on the eyes.
It is the 17" flat-screen model. It looks nice - nothing designer - but it is a bit of a heavy swine to move about. It comes with all the necessary bit and bobs and the set-up is very easy :)
Basically - it is great! It is even better than my monitor at work and that is 19" in size. The flat screen keeps the glare off and the colours are crystal - everything is always sharp and with a graphically accelerated game the screen is superb!
DVD too is spot on - I have had no trouble what so ever. Haven't had to adjust it, mess with the menu controls with the monitor - nothing! It just...

Well Vision On!!
Advantages: loads
Disadvantages: heavy to move around
...Right. Here goes with another non techy technical review.
My hubby hasnt got the most perfect of eyesight so he wanted a really good monitor, and it had to be a big one.
We happened to be in a local PC repair place and he noticed a CRT 19inch on the side that they used to test other PC's on. He like the picture so investigated further and found it was a Iiyama.
I had a Iiyama 17" normal monitor and was always very happy with it, so was already impressed with the name. So we scoured the internet to look for the best deal.
Bearing in mind the 19 inch size hadnt been widely available for long so we were looking at the 400 quid mark at the time and that was very comparable to some of the cheaper makes , so we had a bit of a bargain and we were happy.
You can now get one for around £250.00 to £300.00.
So heres some non...

BT Vision - Cheap, Reliable and Extremely Entertaining.
Advantages: Hours and hours of entertainment (recorded telly and packages), cheaper than other providers
Disadvantages: Packages could be a bit more developed (except film) but then it would cost more.
...
Ok, so as mentioned above you can build your own package the cost for which varies. But the standard packages are as follows:
Gold - £12.23 a month for 3 months and then £19.57 a month, following that.
Silver - £10.27 a month for 3 months and then £17.61 a month, following that.
Bronze - £7.34 a month for 3 months and then £14.68 a month, following that.
Extras
So I got the Vision+ box for free as I was setting up a Broadband contact as well. I'd recommend calling BT to order the service, if you're interested because there may be offers or discounts that aren't available online. The internet does advertise that if you sign up online then the box costs £15.
Quality of Service
I've always been very happy with the quality of service, picture and signal for the Vision service have always been strong. In our...

BT Vision - wonderful!!
Advantages: On Demand
Disadvantages: Noisy fan
...BT Vision is a fantastic concept and supposedly the future of TV. With the Digital changeover we're all going to have to have Digital TV of some sort so BT Vision seemed the perfect product for me since I already have my telephone and internet with BT.
BT Vision is essentially a freeview box with an 80GB hard drive and a recording feature which allows you to watch one programme and record another or record two programmes at the same time. You can also pause live TV, record at the touch of a button and record a whole series simply by selecting the programme from the programme guide and then pressing record twice. The beauty of BT Vision is the On Demand service where you can choose films, sport, music videos, comedies, pretty much anything and watch it whenever you want. The prices for On Demand vary from 29p to £2.99 depending...
