Disadvantages: None for a sub £200 organiser

...Five or so years ago, I bought a Psion 3a - and within months I had stopped using it for good. It was a very capable machine, but it was bulky, required typing and just didnt seem vital enough to carry it around. That has all changed with the Visor Deluxe, which I have had for over a year, and am still using. The Palm OS has become the de-facto standard for organisers in the past few years, because of the small devices that it powers, and its very quick to learn handwriting recognition. The main functions revolve around the DateBook, Address, ToDo and MemoPad applications. There is also a good calculator, citytime and expense application (Though I have never got used to Expense). ...My brother has just purchased one of these excellent electronic organiser, it’s brilliant for anyone who’s quite busy and needs reminding of important dates, meeting etc. (I just put my birthday) in aswell. However, I was rather disappointed to find that it can not be set up with your work PC if you use anything below Windows 98. Thank-fully, we don’t have that problem, but a friend of ours does, and it’s a shame especially if you pay so much money. The Visor is quite light and it’s easy to carry around, that was the main reason why my brother didn’t purchase the Psion because of the size. The Visor is a great thing to have, and it’s come in very handy, it’s got good memory space and it looks and works wells. It’s expensive but worth buying, it will be a good investment...

Luckily, Handspring has learned from its past mistakes and ordering a Visor is now quick and painless. ----------- Blue devil ----------- The first thing that hit me when I opened the Prism box was that the machine looks COOL. The Prism comes in only one colour -- Handspring calls it ``cobalt blue''. What the pictures on the Handspring website don't show clearly is that the Prism is actually a very nice dark metallic blue.
