...When I was revising for my GCSE's I recorded all of my notes onto tape. I listened to these as often as possible: when eating my breakfast, when going to sleep or when I was making cards. I found that this was very effective although I did have two main problems. First of all, it was a nuisance having to keep changing the tape for each subject (I only recorded one topic of a subject per side of a tape and I was studying at least 9 subjects each with at least two topics. So as you can imagine I had quite a few tapes!) My second main problem was when I played it back when going to sleep, the tape continued to whirr after the speaking had finished. Advantages: pretty decent laptop

Its one of their full sized laptops rather than the smaller notebooks that they have been bringing out and seemingly concentrating no recently. The installed ram on this laptop is a massive 4gb, meaning its not just fast, its extremely fast. Loading up and running even the most demanding programs seem a breeze. Also above average is the amount of hard drive that this laptop has. It has a fantastic 320gb of storage space for all those media needs and data needs too. This amount of space is well more than enough for me and should be enough for nearly everyone too as it is quite a spacious hard drive. ...of Dell laptops always seem to be getting better. I made the decision to buy. The snag I found was this Dell Vostro 1000 was a range that is only available to business customers. This wasn't really a major problem, as I could just buy it as a business. Purchasing as a business has a drawback, but it also has a pro point. The drawback to buying as a business is that the distance selling regulations only apply to consumers, so you cannot send it back within 7 days if you change your mind. The pro point is that the laptops tend to have less rubbish installed on them, than their equivalent consumer models. The Dell Vostro 1000

...I bought the Dell Vostro 1000 for starting a Degree last september. The Vostro 1000 is marketed at businesses and as such is installed with Windows Vista Business. The laptop came with 2GB of RAM which is ample to run vista comfortably. The fact that the laptop is marketed for businesses has made no difference to me. In fact it has probably helped me with my degreee as it doesn't come with all the extra unnecessary rubbish that others do (e.g. solitaire, hearts etc)! The Vostro has been able to handle everything I have thrown at it; every game I have installed, the microsoft ultimate 2007 package, etc. The Dell Vostro 1000 is amazing quality for money and I would thoroughly recommend it, expecially for anyone on a limited budget. The battery once charged does not last for ages but it is not too bad at all; as with most laptops...

I simply bought it for 2 reasons - I like lipsticks that supposedly stay put on your lips rather than on drink glasses, cigarettes, etc and because I liked the particular shade that I chose - Scarlet (205).
