Vodafone
Advantages: great UK customer service, great coverage
Disadvantages: NA
...Vodafone is a phone company I used to be with years ago, but due to the rest of my family members switching, I had to make the switch to the same provider as them.
Now, they have made the switch back to Vodafone, and I have recently done the same, and have to say, it's a great network to be with, and has a vast amount of call plans
Making the Switch
To make the switch to Vodafone, I ordered a Sim Pack online, which was free with free deliver- all the more to convince me to move to their network. The delivery had a little delay in between, but the Vodafone customer service and e-forum team kept me up to date, and in contact until my Sim Card arrived, which was within a few days of contacting them. I have now been with Vodafone again, for about a month, and can honestly say, the network has not changed since last time I had it...

Vodafone!
Advantages: Great customer service, easy to speak to, friendly!
Disadvantages: None!
...I have been with vodafone for a very long time and i find them a good service, I was with 02 before vodafone and found that they was not as good as vodafone, I am a very good texter and 02 could not find me a good tariff, but as soon as i spoke to vodafone they were easy to talk to and helped me straight away, i get 500 free minutes anytime of the day and 1000 textes a month for just £35 which i found is brilliant compare to other network rates.
There are different priceplans, you can find online but i found it easier to phone them and speak to them personally about what i used my mobile for and for them to tell me a price with what i wanted instead of getting a priceplan online and going over that priceplan.
Vodafone do a great package called "family" its a package where you can have 4 people who can ring eachother no matter...

Vodafone
Advantages: cant think of any
Disadvantages: Cost, Customer Services, Escalations Dept, Management Attitude
...Vodafone - 3rd place when it comes to most popular network in the UK, but it comes in first as its the network that makes the most money. Customer Services is Appalling, mainly because they Outsource it to other companies like Firstsource (ICICIonesource) - Indian call centre based in N.Ireland. Very Expensive Network, however they seem to hide this very well in their adviertising... so their TV Adds and Billboards suggest that your getting a deal..Look Closer People!!!.. Mobile Broadband is over rated and 3 Network had reported VF for its declaration of its Speed, which is impossible to determine!!! (Tech Help with Mobile BB is non existant) Staff are encouraged to be 'Self Thought' - this saves them on Trainer Wages..Nightmare guys...

Vodafone Update
Advantages: My family and boyfriend are on Vodafone so I can save money on calls to them, offers a wide range of services, excellent customer service.
Disadvantages: Not always the best coverage, expensive, limited choice of price plans, not suitable anymore
...I have been with Vodafone now for nearly three years. I brought my first phone on pay as you go on and I was spending a fortune on top ups.
I then a year later decided to buy a contract phone on Vodafone to save me money on my calls by having the free minutes off peak to call people. This actually did not work out much cheaper than top ups because I always was texting more than calling.
I admit it I am a text addict and when my bill came in each month I was horrified to see how many I sent each month but it didn't stop me did it. My bill was around £60 - 70 per month in just texting. I wish I could have got out of the habit, but still to this day I text too much. I have actually now a genie sim card where I can send 300 text messages free every month.
This was great when I first received it and my next two bills were only £30...

VODAFONE - become a Vodaclone
Advantages: Price Plans, Coverage, Ethics
Disadvantages: The TV adverts
...pay for the first 3 minutes of any call after 7pm until 7am. The remaining 57 minutes of any hour is then totally free ! (no catch). If your call lasts for more than 1 hour then you start to pay your normal pence/min for each minute you go over.
Normally, with PAYT deals, you pay much more for your handset - this is because the companies who make the handsets (Nokia, Motorola, etc) normally take a chunk of the monthly subscription fees to cover the cost of
the handset. But with PAYT you don't pay a monthly fee so you have to pay for the handset up front.
~~~ Contract Deals ~~~
Vodafone recently launched it's "Perfect Fit" tariffs, which allows
customers to tailor what they pat for based on how they use their phone.
The customer chooses from one of the ANYTIME options and then chooses...
vodafone
Advantages: cheap, easy, cashback means cheap phones
Disadvantages: dropped line quality at peak periods
...I've been with vodafone for about 6 months now, and after being with one2one and btcellnet, i must say it is the best mobile phone provider. Many of my friends are on this and so i get very cheap calls to them which helps. They also have the excellnt scoot feature which enables you to get free information(dial 333 from your vodafone FREE). Vodafone also has an excellent customer service, my two calls gave been answered almost immediately, and the help i have recieved has been clear and simple. I would recommend this to anyone....
Vodafone Schmodafone
Advantages: Decent phone
Disadvantages: Staff, service and almost everything about them!
...I recently decided to get a contract phone, however i was reallyu only wanting to get the sony ericsson w900i walkman as I needed a decent mp3 player and certainly needed a new phone so thought I would kill two birds with the one stone.
I was originally planning on buying one from ebay and getting a sim only rolling montly contract which is about the best deal you can get at the moment but you know how it is, go on a 4 day bender or shell out over 200 quid for a phone, there was only gonna be one winner....so my options suddenly became very limited.
I went on to the Vodafone website to see what deals they could do me on that particular phone as they are currently the only network to offer this phone, otherwise I wouldn't even have considered going with Vodafone, you should trust your instincts bacuse usually they are right...
vodafone
Advantages: none
Disadvantages: never get good signal
...my opinion on vodafone is not great. i dont think it is very good at all as you can not get a very good signal everywhere. I am on vodafone and i am not pleased with it as i live in the countryside and i can hardly ever get a signal. all my friends have bt cellnet and they can always get a signal when they come to my house, i would not recommend this network to anybody because of the siganl problem, apart from the signal problem this network is fine and would be ok for someone living in a built up area....
Vodaphone 500 Contracts
Advantages: Spread payments of up to date mobiles
Disadvantages: Free Minutes Off-peak only
...My 12 month contract comes to an end in December 2000, and I have decided to switch to their new pay as you go scheme (Smartstep expensive for first 3 minutes everyday and then 5p a minute thereafrter). Simply because the line rental is rather expensive, but it is good way to get hold of a more modern phone and spread the payments. The contract I am using at the moment gives me 500 free off-peak minutes a month, which I never use. I believe I can save more money using the pay as you go schemes, if you are a low user of the mobile phone. With the contract phone I often end up with a bill for line rental and calls equating to £8 extra a month. The free minutes are not touched. The usage pattern of the phone was not discussed when sold, which would be helpful. (Bought from Car Phone Warehouse)
As for the quality of the service...
Vodafone Mobile Network - Not The Worst, Not The Best
Advantages: Good signal; good range of phones; reasonably priced plans
Disadvantages: Poor customer services; long customer service waiting times; incorrect bills
...I always think contract plans are much better than 'Pay-As-You-Go', generally because I feel much safer knowing I'm on contract and will never run out of credit if I run into trouble. At the start of 2008 I decided I wanted a new phone with a new service provider, and after scouring the Internet looking for the ideal plan for me, I came across a Vodafone leaflet which came inside my television magazine. Usually I throw these kind of leaflets straight in the bin, but they were offering 500 minutes and unlimited texts for £25 a month, as well as a brand new phone.
I didn't really know of anyone on the Vodafone network - my parents and siblings were either on 02 or T-Mobile, but I reasoned it couldn't be any worse than the '3' network, so I started a contract with Vodafone. The Sony Ericsson phone I had ordered came the next day...
