Skype Voipvoice Cyberphone
Advantages: Great form of comminication
Disadvantages: None
...VOIP VOICE CYBERPHONE-W
I have just replaced my internet phone for this Voip Voice Cyberphone-W.
I am a keen user of Skype as I do a lot of phoning abroad and I am always looking for cheaper ways of communicating.
It is a very slim phone which plug into the computer by using the USB PORT at the side of ones computer. The handset is in a fetching colour blue/turquoise and silver which looks rather smart.
The keypad is easy to use and the actual buttons are very solid and are a nice size not too small.
It is light in weight and the handset is easy to hold compared to the one I had before which was a little more bulky and harder to hold. So it is easy to carry with you.
This phone is ideal for using the Skype facility and all one needs to do is to down load the Skype from the CD which is provided when you purchase the phone...

iPhone
Advantages: Great interface. Excellent Music Clarity.
Disadvantages: Limited Official Apps
...have Skype, Webtexting and Photo based apps in no time. The Installer interface is very user friendly.
The call qulaity from the iPhone is satisfactory. Volume control can be hard to use when in a call especially if a case is being used (More on that later). Texting is surprisingly simple with the on screen keyboard. The iPhones touchscreen is like nothing before in its percision. on screen correction is made possible by iPhones inbuilt dictionary.
Music is a large part of the iPhones selling point and in my opinion is the exact same clarity and timbre that we have come to expect from Apple. Volume control can be hard on the on screen volume control if you have larger fingers however. The interface is the exact same as the iTouch series.
Web browsing on the iPhone is a dream with an inbuilt Safari browser. I have yet to meet a site...

Skype
Advantages: Easy to use, 'free' calls
Disadvantages: Calls to phone aren't free
...I've been a user of skype for almost a year now. I originally downloaded it, as I'd heard it was one step in creating a podcast - something which the website I'm staff at were interested in doing.
Over the past year, I've come to use skype more than other IM programs (most specifically MSN), as I've found it to be more user friendly, easier to use and it looks a lot nicer.
Unfortunately, trying to tell my friends this has been a little harder - most are hesitant to download it mainly because they've never heard of it, whereas MSN is commonplace.
**What is it?**
Skype is a program you download and install on your computer, which allows you to make computer to computer calls and computer to phone calls. It also has the ability of IM-style conversations, with as many participants as you want, and video-calls.
It's free to...

The best iPod / Phone!
Advantages: unbelivably sexy and beautiful, wonderful internet and video / music
Disadvantages: needs a couple of firmware updates to become the perfect phone
...Given the rather briefness of the other iPhone reviews on Ciao, and given I've actually GOT one, I thought I'd do a proper review prior to the iPhone being launched in the UK.
Some history:
Apple have been making computers since the 1970's and were the first people to launch what we now call a home computer with the Apple II microcomputer in 1977. Since then, they have been at the front of design and innovation, despite having a few failures along the way, such as the Apple Newton in the 1990's. Apple have recently had two turnarounds, the first being the launch of the iMac in 1998 (basically a portable TV size computer with screen, but with funky colours and all in one design) and the other in 2001 when Apple launched the iPod... The rest, as they say, is history!
iPhone history:
During late 2006, rumours were...

Don't Defy WiFi, Reach for the Sky-pe!
Advantages: Easy to use, functional and portable.
Disadvantages: No text messaging function and no charging cradle.
...Have you noticed recently how everything, and everyone seems to be going wireless? Wi-Fi becoming available for just about any comprehensible purpose (gaming, file-sharing, business and home)? Even those irritatingly flashing gambling machines, that seem to be to cemented to a wall in the centre of every pub or bar that you visit, have now got built in Wi-Fi ! No, Really! And now there is talk of several county councils doleing out money to pay for access points in town centres ofr public use.
The world seems to go crazy when a relatively new technology is introduced and becomes more cost-accessible to them. Hence the mass-hype of Skype.
What is Skype?
Skype is a VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) Service that allows users to interact by voice, text and chat via PC, or in this case the Belkin Skype Phone.

iPhone
Advantages: Touchscreen, easy to use
Disadvantages: Slightly confusing menus
...Previously had a Samsung, loved it's simplicity and the fact it was flawless. Everything worked, easy to use yet still up to date with technology
However, I recently lost the it and was given an iPhone, this phone is way 'cooler' than any phone I have ever had.
Apple are taking technology in mobile phones way further than other brands I feel, ok there are flaws but where there are flaws there are exceptions with other cool gadgets that have made me completely forget about comparing it to my previous mobiles. For example, Google Maps, easy to use and very sufficient Internet use, amazing screen quality with touch screen buttons that actually work... really well too!
In fact the touch screen buttons is one of the main reasons I recommend this phone, although Sony Erricson and other brands have reached into touchscreen I don't feel any...

Apple iPhone
Advantages: read review
Disadvantages: read review
...As everyone know, iPhone became really famous after this product got in the store. In a sense, It's a copy of iPod touch, at least, because of the outlook and of course, because of music player. Here is my review about iPhone.
Why iPhone is good?
Of course iPhone is very famous, because of It's outlook. Of course outlook is great, there is a one big touch sensitive screen and one button, what has only one function - bring you back to "home". You don't need some stick to move menus, It's really easy to surf in menu with your finger.
All things functions so coherently, and It's really unfamiliar, example, to use WiFi, you don't have to change any options or retool profiles and you don't have to worry. All things what you haven't done, and you want do continue it later, it always opens from same place and everything is auto...

The iPhone Masterpiece
Advantages: Visual beauty, ipod perfection, photo demon, movies screen, internet anywhere! PERFECT!
Disadvantages: cost and network locking (easily overcome) and ringtones (overcome aswell)
...This is the pinacle of phone, music player, video player technology. I can not believe how much stuff is wrapped into this beautiful device. okay first, there is the look. Now i doubt you will be able to find anyone who doesnt think this phone is gorgeous. It has an overall of 4 buttons and a switch. 1 for the home screen, 2 for sound, 1 for on and off and the switch to mute sound. The rest is controlled by your fingers on the 3.5" touch screen. It is beautiful peice of engineering technology. The touch screen is "clever" it know when you touch once, it knows when you pulling across the screen, it knows when your pinching. This is due to a sensitive electrical sheet underneath the glass, yes glass, that is connected to the apple mac os x system. It is stunning.
The visual detail is nothing you would ever expect from a3.5" screen. You...

The Skype's The Limit (Updated)
Advantages: Free "Telephone" Calls, Easy Set-up
Disadvantages: Must have a PC, and Internet Access!
...Author's note: with Skype adding more features to their service, I have added an update at the end of this review.
--
Fancy talking to your mate in Australia but can't stomach the phone bill at the end of the month? Fed up hopping from telecoms provider to telecoms provider in an effort to constantly get a better price. Lost count of how many 1010 - or any other number you're supposed to dial - before the number itself in order to jump to a cheaper call carrier?
These days it's getting harder and harder to differentiate between the plethora of telecoms providers all vying for our business. One will always tell you they're cheaper than the other and no sooner have you signed up for that one than yet another is begging you to look at their service. Go into a mobile phone shop looking for a new mobile phone contract and while...

iPhone I like
Advantages: Modern technology, amount of software and number of devices.
Disadvantages: No protective case.
...iPhone finally arrived on the UK market on the 9th November although not with the same amount of media attention it received in the U.S. it was still popularly accepted by the UK market.
I bought mine on the 19th November for £269. This seems expensive but you get a digital camera, ipod and phone all rolled in to one with iphone + internet browsing and e-mail capability, also included are elements of a personal organiser (diary and notepad).
The main feature of the phone is the touch screen technology which operates everything.
Without boring you with technical detail I will tell you what I got from iphone.
There are 17 screens (buttons you can push on the face of the camera.) The 4 on the bottom horizontal strip are the phone, e-mail, internet browsing and i-pod.
There 13 buttons on top from left to right in 3 rows of 4 +1 are...
