With the current cost of diesel there probably isn't a car in existence which one is 100% happy with in this respect. However, this isn't the car's fault and the VW Golf seems to go quite far on a tank of fuel. For example, I probably put Ł20 of diesel in my car per week and it is used locally every day and I go a little further afield in it a couple of times...
