...If you're looking for a different type of racing game, Re-volt might just interest you. Re-volt is based around remote control cars and the storyline (such as it is) goes that these cars have been made magical and are driving out of the toy shop and taking on a life of their own. The game involves basic races around some oversized normal world environments such as a back garden, museum and supermarket. There are obstacles in each place that are representative of the area they are in, such as a wet floor in the supermarket and there are plenty of other racers to try to beat as you tear around the track. The basic race option is fun and well put together, handling is spot on and makes you feel that you're controlling a radio controlled car rather than a real one. The courses are well thought out and great to drive around. But...

Prepare to be volted

Advantages: Accurate physics
Disadvantages: Can slow down in multiplayer

...Re-Volt is simply the best game on the Dreamcast at this time. This game is a pleasure to play, be it with friends or alone. The physics are spot on and the car models look great with their four wheel independant suspension. There is more then enough gameplay to keep the lone gamer going for quite a long while. You will be pulling your hair out trying to unlock all those cars, but you will be having a blast too. The multi-player is just superb....get a couple friends together and throw this game into the ole DC and brace yourself for one heck of a good time. My only complaint here is that after every race you are forced to go clear back to the opening screen to race again. This should have been fixed, but hey, nothings perfect, but this game truely comes closer then any other racer on the Dreamcast! Re-Volt has gameplay coming out...

Advantages: Funny yet practical; the brilliant Nick Frost
Disadvantages: The Zombie special is a bit of a let down

...Back in 2002, Channel 5 showed a comedy series called ?Danger! 50,000 Volts?, presented by this fairly little-known guy called Nick Frost. I remember watching it; it was quite funny, especially considering it was on Channel 5. It was even moderately successful - attracting over a million viewers at its peak. But I thought little of it. ...REVOLT is a great game and is for kids and adults. It costs only around £10 and offers a lot of features. A company named Toy-Volt produces it. It is quite well known in the field of toys making and quickly became the favourite of kids. The cars are radio controlled (R/C cars) and are not easy to control. stylish sexy and the best around

Advantages: you can mkae your oown cds
Disadvantages: it can only fit into a largish pocket

...folders and then browse through them looking for songs you want and it tells you what they are called and who they are by on the screen, how very useful. You can get mp3 cd players that also play vcd s but they are not so good on the audio side. i find that the rio volt looks good and also works well. You can download new firmware for it and then install it onto the cd player which increases its versatility. I find that browsing through what is on the cd i have is avery useful and there are also modes where you can shuffle the whole cd or only parts of it. There are also functions where you can change whether it is in a classical, live, rock, jaz and other modes. There is also a handy extra bit between the cd player and the earphones from which you can operate the volkume and pause, rewind, fass foward, next track, back a track and many...

...Re-Volt is one of the better racing games I've played on the PC. If you approach this game thinking it will be like every other car-racing game you've played, then you'll be wrong. Remember those remote-controlled (R/C) cars of your childhood years? The ones that weigh 3 pounds, max out at 29 mph, and flip over at the slightest jolt? Re-Volt re-creates those cars in all their battery-powered, decaled splendor. Once you get past the shock that these little scoundrels handle like you will appreciate the game's amazing realism. But the added fun of power-ups and weapons takes this game from being an exercise in perfecting your driving skills to a full-on, tactical battle experience....
