Owning a Volvo S80

Advantages: Extremely well built reliable and comfortable vehicle
Disadvantages: Very low to the ground and can be thirsty on fuel

...The Volvo S80 is the Volvo flagship and inherits the build quality and reliability that Volvo is renown for. The smooth six-cylinder engine is quiet and reliable but if pushed can be thirsty with less than 18 mpg. Its not a BMW 528 and so you cant throw the S80 around in the same manner; but on the other hand its built with so many safety features you are at least safe and extremely comfortable. Its capable of 145 mph where the plod turn a blind eye and at 100 mph your passengers will never guess your going that fast! Volvo servicing is excellent and the agents tend to ?look? after you like no other dealers, but again don?t expect cheap prices this is a £30,000+ car and when it does need parts, they wont be cheap! Comfort is the big thing with this car, the moment you sink into the leather interior and adjusting the seat...

Classic Ipod 80G

Advantages: Looks good, easy to use, good for value.
Disadvantages: Freezes sometimes, repetitive use can hurt hand, screen a bit small.

...I found the Ipod 80G Classic looked good and I paid £157 for it and its been a good companion. I think its easy to use and it does exactly what I wanted. I play videos and TV shows from mine and I find that very useful as it is very good quality. I also use it to put photos on and its easy to show people and when I want to look at my memories. Also I know that my photos are saved on it and recently when my computer failed I found it really useful as I knew I had them on my Ipod. I like the games on it and the fact that you can buy games to put on it. I got my first Ipod before this one but I could not live without this one. It is like my little friend. APPLE 80GB CLASSIC

Advantages: YOUR FAVOURITE MOVIES AND COMPLETE ALBUM COLLECTION IN YOUR POCKET
Disadvantages: SOUND LEVEL ON MOVIES NOT GREAT

...I bought my Ipod Classic around a month ago to basically be able to carry all my albums round with me at all times and have a couple of my favourite movies to hand if I am ever bored. I used to have an Ipod Nano and thought that 2 GB of memory would be plenty for what I needed but soon found that I couldn't fit no way near half of my albums on there and had to cherry pick my favourite songs due to there being not enough space available. Now having 80GB it's surprising how much you can actually fit on it. I currently have around 15 movies, a season of lost and over a 100 albums and am still well under 30GB. It's unbelievable. Unless you would like to put all your movie collection on to your Ipod then I can definitely assure you that an 80GB capacity would more than cover your requirements. Apple Ipod 80GB

Advantages: Big memory, not heavy in weight, long battery life
Disadvantages: None that I can see

...I purchased an Ipod classic and I must say that it is one of the best purchases I have made. It has a massive memory and easy to use with iTunes. Movies, TV programmes, music and photos, everything is on mine and it is so easy to add and take off things you don't require for a while. I have 80GB and I have 600 photos, 520 songs and 60 movies on it and I still have 40GB to go. Absolutely brilliant, my friend has just bought a 160GB and it is so easy to use he doesn't need my instruction to use it for the first time. With a large compacity this is certainly one for all generations and is great if you are travelling because you can take advantage of the long life battery and watch films, tv or listen to music while you travel....

1992 Volvo 480 Turbo (1721cc)

Advantages: Quick, fun, cheap
Disadvantages: Some niggles, interior quality

...Having owned my Volvo 480 for a little over a year now, i feel its about time to write a proper review for it. Having been a member of the invaluable online owners club and forum (www.volvo-480-europe.org) for some time before buying i felt infromed as to what to look for and had already walked away from a couple of cheaper / worse condition examples. Hard though it may be to do, its the only way you're going to enjoy your 480, read up before you go and let someone else buy the cursed ones! I bought mine for £671 from a forum member through an ebay auction, which i still think was a bargin. There are cheaper 480's out there but to get any car with a full years MOT and some tax for that price has to be excellent value. Especially since there is no depreciation to cripple you, you should be able to sell a 480 on without any loss...

Canon Digital IXUS 80 IS -nice little camera

Advantages: Nice little pocket camera with all the necessary features
Disadvantages: Can't really think of anything

...I am not an expert on digital cameras and this is just the second one I bought. So I cannot really compare the Ixus 80 with other cameras. Nevertheless, I really like it. Looks The Lxus 80 comes in Classic Silver, Caramel, Chocolate and Candy Pink in an aluminium body. It is small enough to fit in a pocket and can be tacken anywhere with no problems. As far as I can say it is very reliable and does brilliant pictures for a normal user. Features It works with 8 megapixels .The 3x zoom works for all the general snapshot moments. It comes with an Image Stabilization (IS moniker) to reduce camera shake. As far as I know this is not standard on all cameras yet, but becomes more normal in newer models. The lens is glass, so it?s definitely an advantage towards cameras with a plastic lens. You can certainly see that in the quality...

...Nearly 7 years ago I bought a nice Volvo 440 1.7 automatic from a fireman who was selling it for something bigger to accommodate his ever growing family. I saw the car for sale in the local press and went to have a look at it. I was very pleased with the car, it had a lot of creature comforts you would expect (central locking, electric front windows, electric sunroof, power assisted steering and a height adjustable front seet - which is very important if, like me, you have short legs !). Driving the car was a pleasure - very comfortable, and although the car is quite low to the ground this was not a problem as you could raise the drivers seat. The car handled very well and because these Volvos are quite light, it was very nippy too. I was also pleased with the insurance costs too. I cannot recall the exact figure but I do know...

XC90 T6 Exec. MPV = More Please, Volvo!

Advantages: Most stylish 4X4, hugely roomy, very comfortable, good value for money
Disadvantages: Expensive second hand, needs bigger engine, may not fit your garage

...I am very much aware that my wife is by a long way NOT alone in being a fan of this particular car. A good couple of years after its launch Volvo still have a healthy waiting list for them. That means two things; 1) Volvo actually under-priced this car when they launched it and; 2) that of all the 4X4's on the market the XC90 makes by far the most sound financial sense, its' residual (second hand) value is second to none. Volvo were undoubtedly surprised by the runaway success of their very first entry into the proper 4x4, or as the Americans would call it SUV, Sport Utility Vehicle, market. volvo 850

Advantages: Loads of boot space, loads of extras and excellent safety
Disadvantages: Repairs can cost, Relatively low MPG (25mpg)

...Volvo's...square,ugly old peoples cars. Well no. The 850 released in about 1994 was part of the big image change for volvo and was the first step in the V70 evolution. T The basic car an 850SE 20v was better than most of its opponents and was cheap. The 850 is built like a brick but fortunately doesnt look like one as much as the older Volvos. Some may say that it looks like a slab but what do you expect from a big estate car with the legendary huge volvo boot?. The 850 carries Volvo's reputation for being tremendously safe cars, and now with airbags in the front and between the 3inch thick doors and comfy seats, this is no exeption. The base model does about 125mph at a respectable 10.4secs or if you buy the T5 or R version, you will be burning off those sportscars, as they reach 60 in under 7 seconds. The interior is not bad...
