Sony Ericsson W810i - used for 2 years!

Advantages: music sounds great with 'Mega Bass' feature!
Disadvantages: only has 2MP camera - blurry videos

...I bought the Sony Ericsson W810i Walkman in August 2007 from The Carphone Warehouse for £79.95 on Orange and am still currently using it as it is still in good condition. Garmin Nuvi 200w Sat Nav System

Advantages: Easy to use, does what it's suppsed to do!
Disadvantages: Satellite pairing takes ages, no mains charger!

After extensive researching, price comparison and review reading, I came across the Garmin Nuvi 200w, and a sat nav system that seemed to impress greatly, so i decided to take the plunge and bought one. Much like many of the reviews I had read on the Nuvi 200w, my first impressions of it were very good. I bought the system off the Littlewoods website, as it had been reduced in a seasonal sale that they were having. This meant that the system was on offer for around £30 less than on any other reputable site that I could find it on. The product was well packaged, securely and compactly fitted to an inner cardboard shelf, that meant that the sat nav was unable to move or rattle within the box, therefor limiting the chance of damage during postal delivery to a minimum. The neat W580i

Advantages: stylish, good value for money, easy to use
Disadvantages: flimsy keypad

...was bit of a pointless feature when i first heard about it but it is actually quite good. The camera is 2 megapixel and pretty good, it doesn't have a zoom option which is a shame. There is also a video recorder. The menu options are very easy to use, like with most phones there is an option of how you want the menu to be displayed. I am abit careless when it comes to looking after my phone and i have dropped it afew time to say the least and it has no effect on the phone. Still looks brand new. I have been very impressed with the battery life of the phone, i usually charge it every other day, so far i've never had it die on me. I do have one concern about the phone and that is the keypad. Afew of the buttons on my phone have a crack down the middle. I'm not at all heavy handed and this is the first time this has ever happened...

Sony W580i A flawed gem?

Advantages: Easy to use, great features in an affordable phone

...I bought the Sony Ericson W580i as a gift for my daughters 13th birthday, and she loves it. We got her the pink one which was exclusive to Orange shops, so it had to be on an Orange pay as you go, which caused some problems as they refused to offer the texts deal they were advertising at the time. Anyway onto the phone which my daughter mainly uses to listen to music, and make occasional calls to let us know where she is, and text her friends. All of the basic functions are easy for her to use (if not for us old fogies to use) and the 2.0 megapixel camera is ideal for quick snapshots of her and her friends and sisters when they're doing something silly. ...I owned this phone for just over a year I was on 02 network and I paid £139.99 for it. The mobile phone software is very good but the phone itself is very disappointing!!!!! First of all the Sony Ericsson W580i comes with a 512MB memory card and a 2.0 mega pixel camera. This obviously means that there is alot of space for pictures, music and video files. The picture quality is also brilliant too. The menu's are easily accessable and is practically the same as other Sony Ericsson mobile phones. W580i - Basicly the same as W910i for less!

I picked this up for about 100 quid, (w910i is about 200 quid) and was not expecting much because of the low price. However, having compared it with the W910i, this one does basicly exactly the same, but for half the price. Bargain! I also think that this one actually looks better, although it is perhaps more suited to a female as is not as wide as the w910i, and the buttons are very small even for my little fingers!
