...Over the years I have had many a collection. One which I adored was my TY Beanie collection! My friends and I all collected the soft and cuddly beanie teddies, so we were able to tell one another of our stories and most recent purchases, which was great fun. Between us we had most, if not all of the beanies out then, and I still have a few too. One of the beanies is a little bear named Groom. This name is quite appropriate, although basic, as this is a wedding bear and indeed the male, aka the Groom. To look at, you could tell straight away that he is the groom. Wahl, what a close shave i had with these...

Advantages: Easy to use, lightweight and trims without tugging
Disadvantages: cutting edges can become a little warm after a while

...a month to help hide my baldness, but as I had previously used Wahl hair trimming products I decided to bite the bullet, so to speak, and invest in what I hoped would last for quite some time. That was nearly a year ago now and the yucky browny purple coloured hair trimmers are still going strong. This trimmer itself is great for shaving my head, plus, what I really found was a boon about it was it that it is brilliant for the finer details around the edges, such as side burns and the back of my neck, maybe even them tramlines as well, (although I don?t have any tram lines in what?s left of my hair). ...I run a dog grooming parlour, so feel qualified to post on this subject. I found Wahl clippers to be nicely small, but very heavy. Design is poor - to hold comfortably, your had covers the ventilation slots. This means you either suffer hand ache or rapidly heating blades. Add to that the fact that the attachable combs (flimsy, flexible things) will fall off the unit at the slightest hint of a knot, and you have a recipe for burnt skin on your dog. They come with a tiny tube of blade lube - covered in warnings to keep away from the skin. Also with a woefully inadequate little brush to flick hair out of the blades. This shouldnt happen in a clipper. To my mind its a fire hazard for a start. The clipper is a nice compact size, however, its weight ruins this one plus. Vibration was truly awful, and I have found many dogs...

...I own both a Siberian Husky and a small, hairy being of not fixed breeding! , in Spain where the weather gets very hot and your dogs would much rather "shed in the shade" - or, all over the carpet. Anybody who has a husky will know they have double coats, a darker upper coat with a downy underlayer which for two years until I found this grooming tool was a nightmare, I used every brush and comb available, plus some horse tools which I thought worth a try, but to no avail ! My husky looked constantly as if the moths had been at him, except in November when there was a short pause. Cleaning the house was a nightmare and I never seemed to get rid of all the fluff from his undercoat. Then I discovered the Furminator ! It was fantastic, the terrace looked as if it had been coated in snow as all the undercoat came out so easily...

...This is the sequel to French Relations and if anything is even better than the first. It continues the story of Tash and her manic love live and includes many of the characters from French Relations, though leaving out the ones that I found annoying, which was great. Once again I found myself wishing that I was Tash, or at least that I live her life as she stumbles her way along getting the wrong end of the stick at every conceivable opportunity. I don't want to comment on the plot too much, as that would spoil it for anybody about to read this book, but please believe me that Well Groomed will have you in stitches with its witty one liners. I've just read the book for the second time and it just gets better and better, I've noticed so many clever little comments that I missed the first time because I was so eager to get to...

...I recently purchased this Wahl wide-plate straightener, designed specifically for thick, curly and Afro hair. I am mixed-race, and my many curls have come from my Arab side! I have struggled to find a straightener that will smooth down my hair and straighten it PROPERLY! I have had a few straighteners, and they all left my hair looking a bit straighter, but also quite frizzy. This Wahl one smoothed down my hair, so it totally squished down my curls and waves, exactly what I was looking for! This wahl straightener heats up to 220 oC, it doesnt have variable temperature, but since its designed for people with curly hair, you need it that hot anyway.
