Wahl, what a close shave i had with these...

Advantages: Easy to use, lightweight and trims without tugging
Disadvantages: cutting edges can become a little warm after a while

...a month to help hide my baldness, but as I had previously used Wahl hair trimming products I decided to bite the bullet, so to speak, and invest in what I hoped would last for quite some time. That was nearly a year ago now and the yucky browny purple coloured hair trimmers are still going strong. This trimmer itself is great for shaving my head, plus, what I really found was a boon about it was it that it is brilliant for the finer details around the edges, such as side burns and the back of my neck, maybe even them tramlines as well, (although I don?t have any tram lines in what?s left of my hair). The electric cable is of a good length so you?re not stuck to that plug socket near the floor, forcing you to kneel down in a dodgy position until you?ve finished the job in hand. Great for short thin hair

Disadvantages: Unable to cope with my thick hair

...I bought these recently as I cannot live without my older larger plated GHD's and thought that these would be a handy alternative. They do heat in under 3 seconds and have the same excellent ceramic plates as the larger version, however I found them very time consuming. I have very thick hair about shoulder length and unlike their larger cousins they were unable to straighten as effectively . On saying that they were brilliant on my fringe. I would recommend these to anyone with shorter or thin hair. A fashion conscientious male friend of mine used these and loved them and were perfect for his short hair. I would recommend using the straightening oil with these as they are very hot and I did find a few burnt strands of hair ....

Good Hair Day? Definitely!

...I've had these hair straighteners for roughly six months now and have used them probably every day since I was given them, so I feel fairly qualified to give my opinion: that I really can't recommend them highly enough!! The quality of GHDs is unbeatable - I've used a lot of hair straighteners in my time, and I've got to say that they really do give consistently good results. They heat up in roughly fifteen seconds, and you can straighten hair very quickly in a rush with a fairly good finish - which as you can imagine saves huge amounts of time in the mornings! Generally, unless your hair is remarkably stubborn, the hair will also stay straight for the duration of the day. It's also worth noting that they're pretty versatile, and as my hairdresser demonstrated a few days ago, it's quite easy to get nice curls using these hair...

...These straighteners are the best hair straighteners I have ever used, they heat up in about 10 seconds, beep when they're ready to use and then if you forget to turn them off they switch themselves off which is great if you're like me and have often come home to find my bed covers completely singed. They're very hot which although on the one hand is good because they work really well for every type of hairstyle you can ever want to do, straighten, curl, volumise etc. However, if you don't use a comb when straightening your hair you can quite often burn your fingers on your hair. GHD really do offer quality products as a general rule and I would never use any other straighteners. This is my 3rd pair of GHD's so really I have no complaints, however, my hot pink straighteners have had to be sent back to GHD on 2 different occasions...

I have got the Limited edition IV Kiss ones and although the price is what seems redicuoulsly high at £135 they are worth every penny! I`ve had so many hair straightners in the past, cheep ones because i didnt want to spend that amount, i am now glad i did at last splash out on these!! They come in a box, roughly the size of a shoe box, in one side is the GHD stylers and on the side that lifts open there is a packet of 3 GHD lipglosses in a small little box which are also fabulous. There is an instruction manual and a book containing a list of all the other products available by the GHD company. ...I run a dog grooming parlour, so feel qualified to post on this subject. I found Wahl clippers to be nicely small, but very heavy. Design is poor - to hold comfortably, your had covers the ventilation slots. This means you either suffer hand ache or rapidly heating blades. Add to that the fact that the attachable combs (flimsy, flexible things) will fall off the unit at the slightest hint of a knot, and you have a recipe for burnt skin on your dog. They come with a tiny tube of blade lube - covered in warnings to keep away from the skin. Also with a woefully inadequate little brush to flick hair out of the blades. This shouldnt happen in a clipper. To my mind its a fire hazard for a start. The clipper is a nice compact size, however, its weight ruins this one plus. Vibration was truly awful, and I have found many dogs...
