...The Wake Up Hostel had been recommended to me by my friends at Gap Year.com. I booked my bed well in advance as I was spending my 2 weeks in Sydney over Christmas and New Year. I have to say I was very pleased with the price over this festive period as a lot of other hostels and accommodation decided to bump up prices and take advantage of the stranded unorganised backpackers. PRICES: 10 bed dorm $28 a night, 8 bed dorm $30 a night, 6 bed dorm $34 a night and 4 bed dorm $36 a night. ROOMS: I have to say my first impressions where not great, I walked into the room and gasped! Not an inch of floor space could be seen, I didn't even have room to put my bag down. A Lemon Wake Up Call

Advantages: Good value for money, foams up well
Disadvantages: Smell not as good as others in range

...Recently when shopping for shower gels I saw that Tesco was doing an offer on Imperial Leather shower gels where you could get 4 for £3, they normally sell at £1 each so it?s a good offer. Never one to resist a bargain I choose four different varieties and have been slowly working my way through them. The current one in my bathroom is the Imperial Leather Wake Up Shower Gel. This is meant to be an invigorating scent to get you going in the morning and is Bitter Lemon and Ginger. The shower gel comes in a wavy clear bottle which allows you to see the lovely yellow shower gel and see when it is getting low. The bottle has a yellow flip open lid to easily dispense the shower gel and it holds 250ml. The gel has bitter lemon which they say is a fresh and zingy detoxifier enriched with Vitamin C. Not sure that any of that vitamin C...

Disadvantages: terry has a lot of holidays

...There's only one man who can wake me up at 7:30 in the morning and not expect to get a smack in the mouth(!) and Terry Wogan is the man for the job. From Monday to Friday you can expect to hear Terrys irish tones warming up for the total of 2 hours as he talks about pretty much anything. Throughout that time Terry and his fellow 'underlings or numpties' read out emails and answer phonecalls from listeners. They always seem to use fake names, this morning there was a 'bearded bandit' commenting about heavy traffic in some place. There is also news and traffic bulletins every half hour and the usual banter being thrown about all over the place. ...I'm not sure if I'm a Tog or a Tyg nowadays, but I do know that I love this show in the morning. One of my biggest fears is the fact that one day, Terry will retire and the show just won't be the same. The show's called Wake Up to Wogan, and it's on Monday to Friday 7.30am to 9.30am. Terry has underlings working with him on the show: Pauly is the show's long suffering producer, and then each week one of three newsreaders provides the listener with the news and travel bulletins. These rotate between Fran (me, me, me, me, me), Alan Deddicoat - also known as Dedly and partial to a ham sandwich and the odd case of Pinot Grigio, and John Marsh, who's also known as Boggy and has a penchant for garden sheds. ...I'm laughing as I sit down to write this opinion. You see, I had suggested Maxwell House ground coffee as a product on which to write. The title of my opinion was going to be "Wake Me Up, Maxwell House." However, Ciao has now given Maxwell House coffee the product name: Wake Me Up Maxwell House. Why am I not surprised? Ciao seems to have gone pear-shaped lately! To get on with the opinion itself, I'd like to start by saying that I am a coffee lover. I like Expresso, Cappucino, Latte, and literally all types of coffee. In the morning, however, it's strictly the regular ground coffee that I make in my Mr. Coffee that gets me off to a rip-roaring start and ready to face the day. ...Through no fault of my own, I was forced to find a hotel for one night last week - well I could have gone home, but I knew that all that was waiting for me was a bloody great row with my mum, so I thought I'd rather spend the night somewhere else. I surfed around on the net to see what was the cheapest available, and managed to find the website for this youth hostel called Wake Up! London, which boasted prices of as little as £18 per person per night. Plus it was the only one which would allow me to book a room for the same night, other hotels would only let me book at least a day in advance or pay a hefty premium. The website has lots of pictures of people looking really happy, and nice clean, modern looking rooms. My opinion on this later.
