The Walkabout, Sheffield - A Very Big Pub!

Advantages: Good Atmosphere, Drink Promotions, Live Bands

Tomy Walkabout Classic Advance - Hard to tune

I have had this baby monitor now for about 6 months and I must say it still hassle me although it does work. The monitor has 4 channels which the manufacturer thinks makes it easier to find one that's interference free. I can only disagree. Every time I turn the monitor on I need to search for the right channel. This can sometimes take up to several minutes although it is meant to remember which channel was selected when you next switch on. ...We bought the Walkabout Classic to put in our daughters nursery as we knew she wouldnt be sleeping in our bedroom for long. When she was 3months we decided it was time for her to sleep on her own in her own room. We put her down to sleep, turned on the monitor and retreated to the bedroom. It felt like she was still in the same room as us as we could hear her beathing and gently turning in her sleep. It was good to know that she could sleep safely in her bedroom and I could monitor her. The Walkabout Classic comes in two seperate units. ...This baby monitor has been great for us with our 3 month old son. He is finally sleeping through the night so rather than me going up to bed at 8pm I am now putting the little fella down and having an evening! This isn’t the first monitor we tried and I can say it is certainly the best. My advice would be to avoid the monitors that plug directly in to the wall (like the air freshener units!) as they need to be away from a radiator and at least three meters apart which is no good if your baby’s room is directly above where you are with the other monitor. The Tomy Walkabout Classic consists of two units, which can either be plugged into the mains or run using 4AA batteries per unit (beware if you are using the batteries as the main method then you will find they run down quite quickly). ...Recently the video baby monitors that I had been given (second hand) gave up the ghost so I had to purchase a new set. I decided that I didn't need a video one again or one with any other fancy gimmick on it (one that plays a melody etc), I wanted a nice basic and reasonable cheap monitor just so I could hear when she wakes up in a morning etc. After looking online at the hundreds of monitors available (most of which are very expensive) I found the Tomy Walkabout Classic Advance and after reading a couple of reviews I decided that this one should do the job just fine. Coming of age in the Australian outback

Not knowing what else to do, they walk, hoping to hit upon civilisation at some point. They find a waterhole in the middle of nowhere, which provides water and shelter for a while, but the weather is hot and the girl eventually has to accept that they are facing death.
