...When it comes to booking a flight I tend to be one of those people who'll hunt for days or even weeks till I finally prove to myself I'm not going to get it any cheaper. I'll go throw site after site inputting all the boring information, changing the days if I can be flexible and then finally booking a ticket. Last October on a whim I decided to make a certain person aged then eight dreams come true and take her to Florida. A shoe string budget was set, after searching sites like Expedia, Opodo, Lastminute.com, Ebookers and probably a hundred or so more I stumbled across Dial A Flight. The environment friendly watch

Advantages: Solar driven watch, no battery required.
Disadvantages: None that I know of.

...My last watch has been with me for more than 10 years. It has been reliable until the past couple of years. It started mis-behaving, require constant battery changes, (a sure sign that the watch is dying), and frequently stopping whenever I fly. So last Christmas, I decided to buy myself an eco-driven citizen watch. An eco-drive watch uses light energy to run itself. The light source can be sun (solar) or an incandescent lamp (such as in an office environment). The watch uses a solar panel, in this case, its the face dial, to convert light into electrical energy which is stored in a special energy cell. This allows the watch to last a long time without seeing any light, suitable for those of us who hibernate (Ha!); for those of us with very long winters and constantly wearing long sleeve clothes or just forgetting to charge it up...

Dial a Flight

Advantages: heklpful polite and friendly service
Disadvantages: the flight prices advertised are not always available upon phoning

...I have used dial a flight on a number of occasions now, and have always been impressed with their service. I found them on a web site, but as the title suggests you cannot book the flights over the internet. The web site gives you a quote for your flight and the telephone number. Quite often though when you get through to them and quote the price there is a drawback to the price. When I was generally looking around for a flight to Alicante for my son about 6 weeks ago, I found this what seemed a really good deal, £49 return!!! I rang Dial a flight and found that he would have had to travel first to Barcelona and then onto Alicante. A bit of a marathon for a short flight really, even though the price was brilliant. It does not mention these things on the web site. However I am actually writing an op on the telephone service so...

I purchased a Citizen Calibre 8651 watch from an internet site called Timedon for £275.00, about £60.00 less than normal retail price & a further £7.50 from my local Citizen dealer to have the bracelet adjusted to suit my wrist. This was in July 2006 & since then it has worked perfectly. This watch is elegant, features a moon phase dial & instead of a normal view window for calendar function it has two separte small dials within the face to record month & day with an extra hand for date. Sounds complicated but it works well & looks good. It is waterproof down to 100 meters & has a five year warranty on the movement. Dial a Bargain more like.

Advantages: 5 star service, efficient in the delivery of tickets, Some really good deals (cheap flight, and holiday deals- hence their name), Website is fast, clear, and precise with a huge array of different travel ideas (with a very useful search facility)
Disadvantages: Cannot book online, and therefore have to call their "local rate" telephone number (their staff however are very helpful anyway, so not really a big problem), Can become a lengthy phone call if no availablity (however staff will usually do their best)

The staff at the call centre, which currently is located in the swindon area, are absoloutley fantastic. They will do their utmost to help you along the booking process, and if the call begins to become lengthy, they will call you back within the time that they state. I will give you an example of some of the brilliant flight deals which I have managed to get off dial-a-flight, starting with the best offers. 1. Charming little watch

...My 'friend' decided i needed a special present this year for christmas and bought me the Citizen Ecodrive Charm bracelet watch. It's one which has been advertised quite alot in womens magazines, and it is very pretty and a bit different. The bracelet is a basic silver coloured bracelet, attatched are five small handbag charms, one is plain silver colour, the other four have stones in different design 'handbags', the colours are pink, blue, yellow and clear. The watch itself is a slightly larger handbag shapewith clear 'diamonds' around the face and a blue pearly looking face. Its pretty and sparkles nicely which keeps him as amused as it does me, but then again hes amused by some very simple things - british money for one.
