...Owning (or being owned by) 3 cats, the twice-daily changing of the water dishes can get quite arduous, so I began to look into buying a water fountain. After looking at various different types (I didn?t know there was so much to consider!) I saw the Catit Water Fountain at a local cat show and decided to purchase one for my three mogs. I think this is the newest pet drinking fountain on the market at the time of writing and it does differ from the more usual style of ?a stream of water falling into a pool? pet water fountains. The Catit fountain is designed and recommended by vets. It is a shiny ? iridescent white plastic and a blue dome which is shaped in kind?ve in a figure of 8 with a drinking ?bowl? at one side and at the other a dome where the water is pumped up through the middle on the inside and then runs over the surface...

Three cons and a fountain

...W factor. As fountains go, and they generally don't go far, this is a peach. The intimate setting of the small piazza lends it a ...um, intimacy, even though it can be a little crowded. We managed to force ourselves into a small space on the bench right at the front (apparently, it's illegal to throw small children into the fountain...as we found out...). Great, We could sit for as long as we liked and gaze into the crystal water splashing all around. Three minutes just about did it. Come on, it's a fountain for goodness sake. Anyway, we took a gazillion photos, bought a piece of rubbishy tat (as you do) scoffed an ice cream and departed never to return. Never to return? A traditional legend states that if you throw a coin into the Trevi Fountain you're sure to return to Rome. Personally, I'm of the opinion that if you buy an airline...

A fluorescent green vanilla fountain!

Advantages: Nice long lasting fragrance, kind to the skin
Disadvantages: I couldn't stand bathing in the colour and the scum in the bath was hard to remove

...poking out the top of it which after asking in store what an earth it was I was told by staff rolling their eyeballs at me that it is actually a dried vanilla pod! It smells quite heavily of vanilla but has the edge taken off that smell with a sweetness which is made up of jasmine and tonka bean along with the vanilla absolute so it's a bit of a mixture really and Lush themselves call this a pudding ballistic based on a creme brulee. So you run the taps of your bath and fling this all in. It fizzes alot and then within a minute it just disperses and melts. Fresh approach to water for Cats!

I acquired my first CatIt water fountain last year and the second last week and have had no trouble with either one since I purchased them. So what is my and my cats' opinion of it? ~~Why~~ Now those of you who own cats, or are owned by them, know that as responsible pet owners we need to provide plentiful fresh water for our babies, especially in hot weather. The Fountain - Fabulous

Advantages: Phenomenal Plot, Gorgeous Special Effects, Top Class Acting,
Disadvantages: Dark/Depressing, Confusing Plot

...The Fountain is a rather little-known film due to it running into problems with funding and budget, therefore not gaining a significant amount of publicity and also had a hitch when the proposed lead for the film (Brad Pitt) turned-down the part of main character. These two problems faced in the early stages of the film, although understandably seemingly rather gloomy for the future prospects of the film, turned-out to merely add to the fantastic experience that was had whilst watching 'The Fountain'. Hough Jackman was eventually cast to the role of lead which, in my opinion, ultimately helped the film itself, Jackman added something to the film with his clearly evident acting ability, something that I felt Pitt (as good of an actor as he is, also) wouldn't have given. Fountain.. Fountain of fresh air maybe!

Advantages: Nice scent left afterwards, left my skin smooth.
Disadvantages: Expensive for what it is, turned water off yellow colour.

...and fragranced for a good few hours after I had finished in the bath. I was a little disappointed with the lack of bubbles with this product as I know most Lush products I've used in the past have always satisfied me by giving me a gorgeous coloured bath with a ton of bubbles! The individual price for the normal size of these is around £2.69 at present and you can buy a giant ballistic for £7.50 but as Lush advise you use one of these in a bath I think they must be insane, this is a time of the 'credit crunch' don't they know?! I am giving this product 3/5 as it is a little expensive for a small amount of bubbles and I don't like the appearance of it much, it's almost like a bell in appearance! Very strange colour bath-water too! Anyway, it's a 3/5 from me. I would use it again but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy this myself....

A solar powered water fountain for the garden.

Advantages: Cheap and easy to set up.
Disadvantages: You need the sun to shine for it to work.

...After building a fish pond we had some pond liner left over and not liking anything to go to waste, particularly when liner is so expensive, we decided to build a nature pond on some ground near my veggie patch. This is of course the royal ?we?. I decided and my partner was sent outside to do the building. It is not very big, about 6? by 3? and about 12? at the deepest parts. The idea of this pond was to leave it and see what comes to live in it. Apart from a few plants on the sides and a left over lily and oxygenating weed from the other pond the idea is for nature to take over. My only real concern was that the water may become stagnant if it was just standing so after some research I decided on a small solar powered fountain just to circulate and aerate the water. Bathe in this luxury fountain!

Advantages: Smells lovely, leaves skin soft and smelling gorgeous
Disadvantages: not the best 'bathing experience' ever

...of jasmine in the ingredients. When I want a bath, I have to switch the water on an hour before hand in order for it to heat up sufficiently. After switching the water on, I retrieved this from the bedroom and put it on the edge of the bath, ready to use. I came back an hour later to find my bathroom absolutely filled with the scent of vanilla - it was gorgeous! When I dropped the vanilla fountain into the bath water, it fizzed quickly, turning my water an unsightly yellow colour. I had seen on the Lush website several people saying that it turns the water a 'wee colour' and to be fair, yes that's what it looked like, but considering the pale yellow colour of the product, it's not particularly surprising this is the result you get. The vanilla pod became detached from the ballistic, and I'm not keen on things floating in the bath with me...

Advantages: Architecturally significant and culturally important site, beautiful location
Disadvantages: Fountains Abbey offers visitors a unique glimpse into the world of medieval monasticism. Its striking architecture and the beauty of its natural surroundings combine to ensure a memorable experience.

...the river's course from the West Range to what remains of the monks' infirmary. The infirmary complex was built on a stone platform actually constructed over the river. Much of the stonework used to reinforce and direct the Skell's channel survives intact. In summer, several species of water-loving plants either drape over the channel openings or flourish in shallow water lined with dressed stones.
