...Resistance 2 is a relatively new game for the PS3, and seems to be one of the nearest challengers to Call of Duty in terms of first-player shoot 'em ups. Unfortunately, it doesn't really get close to this standard, as I will explain over this review. ************************************************ STORY MODE The single player story mode follows the main character as they struggle to overcome the Chimeran invasion. The gameplay has various aliens to fight, bosses, and different weapons. The graphics are reasonable, but not as good as Call of Duty: World at War, which I also have on PS3. Advantages: Great multiplayer fun, high choice of weaponry, and great action
Disadvantages: Quite difficult, frustrating character movements and lack of story depth

...and really got my blood pumping. Each track will change according to what situation is happening. When the boss appears, a heavier and evil beat will play. Setting the mood every single time and another true highlight of this retro game. Sound effects are high quality and may be rather repetitive, yet this was common in a game like this. Weapon sounds were so awesome for their time and gave off that 1980s action type feel. Recommendations A classic side scroller platform game and very underrated for its time. Due to many other games on the market at the time, Midnight Resistance never really took and received the popularity that it rightly deserved. ...I was wondering when the new album is going to come out. This album did not disappoint me at all. The title might have been fortunate to be called ?The Resistance? since I really could not resist buying this straight away. The first thing that I liked about is the cover art; a man in front of a multi-coloured circular ball/globe(?). It definitely does bring out the whole album. Also, if you look at it long enough, you will see that the image is going in towards the Earth but as a whole, it just looks like a globe. 01. Uprising This track is one of my favourite in the album. ...A few weeks ago I traded in my old Playstation 2 games console (and a large sum of cash) for a shiny new Playstation 3 (PS3) model. Advantages: Adds greater depth to the listening experience.
Disadvantages: Costs slightly more than the version without the DVD.

...Firstly, what makes this different from buying just the CD is the inclusion of "The making of The Resistance" DVD. This DVD, by first appearances is a combination of poor camera work, awkward camera angles and fairly poor quality, but realising it's home-made nature is part of it's innate charm. The menu screen is designed to be in the style of a retro computer, mimicked in the credits with the scrolling text. From the start, Muse provide a comic view of their experiences in the studio recording of their latest album, The Resistance.
