Presented by the lovely, if not slightly hyper, High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens, the new ?Wave? offered buyers a cleaning system that ?deeply removes dirt, oil and make up? to fight spots whilst making skin visibly softer after just one use. The advert did make me a little dubious though; its whole presentation with Hudgen?s cooing over a pink and white vibrating piece of plastic was questionable, not to mention the price tag...

I really went in to get some lip balm, but came out with this because I thought it looked really nice and to be honest I was a little tempted by Staff. So, this product is shimmer waves and it is used to make your face look that little bit bronzed and refreshed. The shade of this is obviously bronze and it has 5 different tones which create a great effect on your face. It is quite expensive because it is £15.00 for this alone but I can say it is excellent quality and it has lasted me until now and I still cannot see that it has gone down since I brought it. To apply, which I do every day, I use a bronzing brush, sweep it over the powder and then I blow it and apply it in a circular motion over my cheek bone. Advantages: Versatile, easily blended, easy to use, not tested on animals.

...A couple of weeks ago I popped in to The Body Shop in Bath, as I needed a new hairbrush. The thing is whenever I go in I never come out just with what I intended to buy. I had been considering buying either the Shimmer Cube or the Shimmer Waves but had not decided so had a look and still couldn't make up my mind so I was going to leave it but I just couldn't! One of the shop assistants asked me if I needed any help and I explained my predicament. She said they were both really easy to use and were great colours and the looks they could achieve were brilliant and that she had bought both in the end! I was determined not to do that! In the end the fact that Shimmer Waves can be used as a bronzer as well as eye shadow won the day! Not only that but you get five colours instead of just four in the Shimmer Cube. Although it can be used any time of the year, 'Ocean Waves' is advertised as a 'Beach Blonde' product which is a range by John Frieda. John Frieda has lots of products for blonde hair, and now also does a range for brunettes and redheads. As you can probably tell from my photo, I have blonde, reasonably long and straight hair. Sometimes, I like to make my hair wavy for a change, I do this by plaiting my hair into 8 plaits after I have washed it and then undoing them when they are dry. ...Planet Waves is a strange album in the Dylan catalogue, coming after a torrent of abuse from his last few albums and then releasing the timeless Blood On The Tracks afterwards. The album itself is quite literally an album of love songs, although not in the form many would automatically see as love songs. This is really the contrasting album to Blood On The Tracks, with a much wider backing music used throughout. The vocals themselves do also differ, but this is perhaps due to the differences in the emotions that Dylan is trying to put across. 1. On A Night Like This - A nice opening to the album, brining in the sense of the band in the background and the different style of music,unlike that of New Morning and Self Portrait. ...Planet Waves is an album that is not necessarily typical of Bob Dylan, but what is? It is, however, a strong album by a great artist, with some classic Dylan songs on it. The first highlight of the album is the opening track 'On a Night Like This', where Dylan displays some of his most expressive and poetic lyrics to a upbeat band driven by drums and his ever present harmonica. The song rather different for a Dylan as its quite self explanatory and not melancholy or bitter. It does however have a optimistic and romantic charm to it, and the fact that Dylan finds himself in a comfortable vocal range leads to an impressive and passionate performance.
