...There was a time when Simon Pegg wasn't appearing in bad Star Trek films and starring in exceptional sitcoms which he had a big hand in writing - this is Spaced. Now starting to edge over the ten years old mark, Spaced was a sitcom regarding two strangers (played by Pegg and Jessica Stevenson) who meet in a greasy spoon café, and figure out they both need somewhere to live, despite barely knowing each other. They move into a two bedroom flat owned by the creepy landlady Marsha and then the tales begin. SPACE 1999

Advantages: Fun Sci-Fi
Disadvantages: Quite dated

...SPACE 1999 = Here we are again with another memorable sci-fi series from Gerry and Sylvia Anderson whose other 'Hits' included Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, Fireball XL5, Thunderbirds and UFO. Space 1999 was set on the Moon where a Moon base has been built and nuclear waste from the Earth was stored, but things are not well and soon the nuclear waste explodes blowing the moon out of earths orbit and sets it on a course out of the solar system. The series then follows the crew left alive the Alpha moon base as the travel around the universe and as they meet many strange aliens and come across other civilizations and weird planets. WEBS (2003)

Advantages: Some good actors and some decent kicking actions.
Disadvantages: The list goes on - Story line, Monsters, Consistency, Logic.....

...said some meaningful thoughts (cheesy as heck though); which was along the line of 'Just imagine all the history that has gone on in this building, and it is all going to be destroyed'. I should just gave up on the film at that point but I was hoping this B-movie can prove why it still exist on the shelves. They discovered a bolted door and curiosity has got the better of them, as they managed to open it. The room was fill with electrical machines, and being nosy electricians meant they have to fidget buttons. Fidgeting buttons lead them to open a portal to the parallel universe (Ooohhh). A tangled web!

...I have been reading books by the author Joy Fielding for as long as I can remember. Her books can best be described as psychological thrillers and in most cases I have been on the edge of my seat from the moments I have picked the books up. 'Charley's Web' had a slightly different feel to it though and although I enjoyed the book very much I did not really experience the usual tension until towards the very end. The book is about a character called Charley Webb who is a somewhat provocative journalist for a Florida newspaper. She writes a weekly column that often provokes and shocks her readers which consequently leads to a lot of interesting emails and letters. ...UK sitcom Spaced was originally aired on Channel 4 back in 1999 but has recently made a return 10 years later on Dave which has prompted me to review the dvd i bought a few years back but just had to watch again recently. I was probably one of the many people who missed Spaced the first time round but due to the success of Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and Simon Pegg in general, i was intrigued to watch some of stuff that had previously ignored. I think I was probably set up by someone to receive a call (through a bonus scheme that they run) and so a call duly came. An appointment was made which took them by surprise, and the ?designer? came along last August. The idea was that the quote would be good for a year, and if I appeared in Feature Homes magazine, I could have an instant reduction and also benefit from anyone booking a new kitchen on the back of seeing mine in the mag. With me still?? The catalogue which the designer brought along, shows a whole range of kitchens from very modern to classic designs. There are also gadgets like a special shelving system which makes the best use of those corners of cupboards which never see the light of day and harbour goodness knows...
