...I don't know what it is about the lighting in my office but pretty much every WebCam I have looked at struggles to see me. That is probably a Good Thing but it does mean that to use a WebCam I usually end up with enough lamps pointing at me to begin an interrogation session. A couple of years ago I decided to try yet another and so ended up with a Creative Labs WebCam 5. Creative Labs' WebCam 5 promised improved low light performance but given its low price point, I wasn't expecting too much. As it turns out I was pleasantly surprised. A Top Notch Web Cam

Advantages: Very easy to use and high quality images
Disadvantages: Delicate lens & slightly slower refresh rate than some web cams

  Creatively someone is watching you

Advantages: Excellent picture, Nice price, Good software, Looks smart

The user had set up the camera in motion detector mode and had set the camera to record the pictures on a separate computer in his house via his network. The victim was then able to look at these pictures and get clear photos of the burglar in the act, and managed to get him arrested and get his PC back. A very clever idea and a very handy feature of the webcam, which would have saved him a lot of money.
