...We live on frozen food in my house as neither my husband nor I are great cooks. But, whether or not you eat a lot of frozen food, Iceland's Southern Fried Wedges should be a constant in your freezer as they are in mine. These are potato wedges in a southern style coating and they are the tastiest potatoes I have ever had in my life! They come in a dark blue plastic bag with the Iceland logo along the side and a big picture of the cooked wedges looking very golden and delicious. Across the centre of the bag is a yellow stripe and the bold letters announcing BIG VALUE PACK £1. Cheesy wedge

Advantages: tasteful, quick, healthy, great texture

...Had these for tea tonight with lasagne and peas, so thought I would tell you all what I thought of these. I went into the Co-Op in search of any old wedges and saw these were two for £2.50, I love a bargain so I thought, why not? These lightly spiced wedges are made by McCain and they are cook from frozen. To cook 500g of these you can either put them under the grill or in the oven. If you want to put them under the grill you should preheat it 5 minutes before and grill on medium heat for 12-14 minuted not forgetting to give them a little shake around!When they have reached a sort of Golden Brown colour, take them out and serve immediately. You won't need to wedge yourself through the door if you eat them

Advantages: Nice taste, not too overpowering, lots for your money, not too high in calories.
Disadvantages: Can be a little expensive when not on offer, I would like more spice for my money!

...Potato Wedges are a great staple item to have in your freezer and are a slightly healthier replacement to oven chips and an even better replacement for normal fried chips! The wedges are lightly spiced and seem to be fluffy inside which is just the perfect combination when put with the crispier outside. The spice is nothing too overpowering and is just lovely when dipped in to barbeque sauce. These are easy to cook just pop them in the oven, I never pay much attention to the 20-25 minute guideline and normally cook them for around 30 minutes along with chicken or whatever I am cooking that evenings tea. I find that this helps to ensure that the larger wedges get cooked too. They are basically like a chip but thicker, a lot tastier and the potato skin is still on them, so overall they are jacket potatos cut into slices but more crispier. The size of each wedge varies, I?d say between 1 and 3 inches. They are described on the packaging as ?Slices of potato in their jackets coated in a Southern style seasoning.? In the bottom of the pack, there are tiny pieces not really worth cooking. They are low in calories purely because there is a miniscule sized meal hidden beneath the cardboard layers of the box. I never quite know what to expect when trying something new, and the thought of cheese being sprinkled on top of this dish had put me off slightly when it was cooking.
