...My friend used to work for Wella SP and I was lucky to be blessed with some of her samples and although this is a very expensive range it is fantastic, I do not think that I would buy it as the price is a very big off put, but the products are first class and in a class of their own. Wella SP Hydro Mask is a treatment thats helps condition your hair and that gives maximum moisture to your dry hair making it soft to touch and keeping your hair well conditioned. For the best results massage into your clean damp hair, it suggests you leave it in for 5 minutes, but I have found the longer you leave it the better. To intensify the effect of the Hydro Mask add heat to the hair, Then after a while rinse the mask out thoroughly. ...'ve tried putty, gel, wax, cream, mousse and sprays. I've even tried lard and a strange tooth pick scaffolding structure that was certainly a talking point but didn't provide the desired "Spiking". Though the years though I have learnt that to maintain a decent spike with my hair I need to use a decent strong gel. The only thing is that there are hundreds types of strong gel available, the choice is ridiculous! You can have freeze gels, extreme gels, hard gels and power gels to name only a few. Wish i had gone to a salon - wella viva hair streaking kit

Advantages: The box colour is nice - nice conditioner.
Disadvantages: Damages hair to the point of dissolving, itchy/burning sensation, colour is not as shown, not woth

...I would normally go to a salon to get my hair highlighted as i have seen and heard of far too many horror stories of home colouring gone bad, however, against my better judgement i decided to try and save a few pounds and do it myself with the wella viva hair streaking kit, big mistake. I followed the instructions to the letter, applied it as directed and waited for the time indicated, when i washed it off my hair was almost daffodil yellow and so brittle it was snapping in my fingers, it had managed to leak through the cheap and tacky highlighting cap which explains the nasty itchy burning sensation i was experiencing. My hair is a very light brown, and now with yellow patches and blotches that are shorter due to breakage. I done absolutely everything as instructed, the smell was so strong too, it reminded me of an old hamsters...

Advantages: Does exactly what it say's on the tin!
Disadvantages: Loss of pressure causes loss of mousse

...a large stick of candy floss resting on my head. -= Been there done that =- Ok so I've tried gel, hairspray, wax and all the rest and it just doesnt cut it. Gel make me feel like I'm wearing a glass helmet, not only is it uncomfortable but I feel as though I have to protect it with my life otherwise one like touch from something and it will shatter. Hairspray, dont get me started! hate it! ...Wether you're getting ready to go out and forget your gel in the last minute or if you need to just sort that dry spot out - Wella Spray gel is a godsend! It comes in a tall, slim container and is just perfect for placing in a girl's handbag or in the guy's glove compartment. There is a good spray head that rotates for different angles and releases the gell nicely. However, if you do not quirt it quick enough, it jus shoots out a blob like a pellet, instead of a spray-cone. The gel is like water (literally) and is easily washed/wiped off the hand when done and goes straight ontot he hair with ease. You just spray-spray-spray then you're done!
