Wella SP Hydro Mask is a treatment thats helps condition your hair and that gives maximum moisture to your dry hair making it soft to touch and keeping your hair well conditioned. For the best results massage into your clean damp hair, it suggests you leave it in for 5 minutes, but I have found the longer you leave it the better. Playful bed hair without stickiness

Advantages: Light hold, shiny without grease, easy to brush out

...I was introduced to this product by my hairdresser, and I've been extremely grateful to her ever since. As you may be able to see from the photo, I have pretty short hair that I tend to keep 1-3 inches in length (and definitely no more). Unfortunately, without any artificial assistance, I'd spend most of my time looking like a furry badger and if it was getting really long, I'd probably be looking more like a furry badger on speed. Wella's Space Jelly (the SP stands for System Professional), feels like a cross between a hair gel and a wax. It's designed to give short hair more texture, add a layer of 'healthy' shine, and just to add some extra oomph, chucks some shimmer in as well. Wish i had gone to a salon - wella viva hair streaking kit

Advantages: The box colour is nice - nice conditioner.
Disadvantages: Damages hair to the point of dissolving, itchy/burning sensation, colour is not as shown, not woth

...I would normally go to a salon to get my hair highlighted as i have seen and heard of far too many horror stories of home colouring gone bad, however, against my better judgement i decided to try and save a few pounds and do it myself with the wella viva hair streaking kit, big mistake. I followed the instructions to the letter, applied it as directed and waited for the time indicated, when i washed it off my hair was almost daffodil yellow and so brittle it was snapping in my fingers, it had managed to leak through the cheap and tacky highlighting cap which explains the nasty itchy burning sensation i was experiencing. My hair is a very light brown, and now with yellow patches and blotches that are shorter due to breakage. I done absolutely everything as instructed, the smell was so strong too, it reminded me of an old hamsters...

When it got to a certain length, I purchased a pair of £20 straighteners from a supermarket. Good Hair Day? Definitely!

...both had negative experiences with GHDs before - we were getting minor electric shocks when we unplugged them and had to be pretty careful. Now I've never experienced this particular fault with this model, but it's worth mentioning. All in all I'd say that this is an excellent product, particularly if you use hair straighteners a lot. Review of Ghd Limited Edition Styler - Hair Straightener

Great for short thin hair

Advantages: Heat very quickly
Disadvantages: Unable to cope with my thick hair

...I bought these recently as I cannot live without my older larger plated GHD's and thought that these would be a handy alternative. They do heat in under 3 seconds and have the same excellent ceramic plates as the larger version, however I found them very time consuming. I have very thick hair about shoulder length and unlike their larger cousins they were unable to straighten as effectively . On saying that they were brilliant on my fringe. I would recommend these to anyone with shorter or thin hair. A fashion conscientious male friend of mine used these and loved them and were perfect for his short hair. I would recommend using the straightening oil with these as they are very hot and I did find a few burnt strands of hair ....
